Never understood the massive lack of love for 'Never Say Die', that many Sabbath fans seem to have; that album is WAY better than it's reputation in my book! 🤷

Finally after years of injustice we witness the redemption of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath rightfully into a top 3 spot! For me, A National Acrobat is still the sickest riff ever conceived to date.

The turnaround on Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is crazy. I love that album

Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is defo my fave album as it was the first one my cousin introduced to me in the 90s. He had the old vinyl version his Dad gave him - the cover art pulled me in and the songs were so out there.

I think Forbidden and the 2024 remix edition of Forbidden should be two different rankings. Honestly, if you listened to the original mix of Forbidden, it's a D-tier album. But then you listen to 2024 Forbidden, that I think bumps that album up to C-tier.
Black Sabbath are the all time classic pioneers of metal. I love almost every album they’ve done. The Ozzy era is my favorite, the Dio era is also great, and I even think the Tony Martin era is under appreciated. Here is my ranking:
S - Paranoid, Master of Reality, Mob Rules
A+ - Black Sabbath, Sabotage, Heaven and Hell, Dehumanizer, 13
A - Vol. 4, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Headless Cross, Tyr, Cross Purposes
B - Technical Ecstasy, Born Again, The Eternal Idol
C - Never Say Die!
D - Seventh Star, Forbidden
Have you heard Heresie by the RIO band Univers Zero? It's the darkest album ever made.
The Stephen Wilson remixes change my opinion on some albums, plus the Black Box versions of the Ozzy era albums sound so much much nicer, Geezers bass is better mixed in particular.

I wouldn't say Forbidden is one of my favorite Sabbath albums, but I did hear the newer mix of it that came out recently and I have to say it made the album better. Great list overall!

Totally agree on Eternal Idol, it doesn't sound like Black Sabbath at all.

13 is definitely an A tier album , low A and I don't think it should be that low. The rest of the list is fine ig. But just like u said "sign of the southern cross" for mob rules, I'd say " god is dead" for 13 . It's not a C tier album

I would drop Vol 4. Two tiers on account of Changes, which is the only Black Sabbath song I am aware of that I have to skip. Just can't listen to it.
My favourite is Black Sabbath with Sabbath Bloody Sabbath a close second. Favourite Dio album is Mob Rules.
So this is a Tyr ranking
Very difficult to rank, the quality is so high. I'm tempted to throw about half the catalog into the S tier.
Master of Reality still holds as one if the heaviest metal albums of all time
Never Say Die is a Banger. A+ Tier. Admittedly it took a few listens but its one of my favs now. Technical Ectasy is D.
Vol 4 is the best to me it's the darkest I love the heavy doom in it
