Honestly, I would put Holmes in the below category. I'm a fan, but he's been really bad lately. I also think Cole Macedo could be in the impressive category.
I don't disagree with you, but he also did more traveling with his own car, and ran many new tracks in 2024, as well as some bad luck, many are not of his doing. I expect a better 2025 year for him.
@@TylerCoolGuy88 All true statements, for sure. Until he can somehow qualify better on a consistent basis, he will continue to struggle. I don't have the answers because I'm just a spectator, but I feel like he needs a good, full-time crew chief in order to improve. If I were rich, I'd hire him and a chief to see what he could do.
Impressive: Axsom has definitely been impressive all season. Bill Balog has also been fast and competitive all season, and even more so after what they endured at Eldora. They’ve been really impressive. Just Ok: I’d flip flopped Marks and Schuhart just because of the fact that Marks top-10 numbers shows how much he’s struggled this season. He should definitely have more top-10’s. Having just 4 wins this year and had 13 last season would also be below expectations for that team I’d imagine. Below: Bayston has definitely been a big disappointment this season. I’d also add Chris Windom. Maybe it’s just me, but I had higher hopes for this team. (Not necessarily for wins or top 5’s, but more top 10’s, and just be more competitive on more nights)
Tanner Holmes. Is about right where you put him. For a family operation, which none of your others are, they're doing decently. A 21 year old driver with an 18 year old "crew chief", they don't have the setup notes to rely upon that other teams do. It's going to take time to build that setup notebook. As for impressive, you left off Corey "checkers or wreckers" Day. I don't think many would have predicted his wins and two big money wins.
In the Ohio area I think Cap Henry and Cale Thomas have had great years in local competition. I thing Greg Wilson on the local level has quietly put together a good season with some wins and top 5s. Cole Duncan is a driver who normally has several wins through out the year in Ohio but with a new child, Atomic speedway not having many sprint shows this year and just not racing as much, he is one I thought would win a bunch of races in Ohio this year.
Impressed - Axsom 100% Just Ok - a couple of weeks ago I would've said Carson Macedo and Sunshine, but they rallied. I'm going Schatzy Below Expectations - I hate to say it but Rico. He's my guy. He's rallied nicely but I thought he'd be in the title fight all year. I feel the slow start can be blamed on getting up to speed on touring. I expect him to win HL next year.
Good call on Sams! Kid has a bright future and done well this season I expected more from Marks as well. Holmes started basically a new team . Expect more next yr. Rahmer won't leave PA and take the challenge. Ellison has been disappointing
@@mjriemen Agreed, He is very likeable, but I think a seasoned car chief could make his career jump. Not to say his sister is not doing a bad job but at the level he wants to run you got to have a "A" game
Cole Macedo's ability to jump into about any stray car and make it go fast should earn him an impressive listing. Corey Day was so impressive that he's going to become a former sprint car driver in the near future. I believe Wise, Eliason, Bayston and possibly Peck will be in different rides in the offseason. I think the 83sr will have a new driver and a series swap and I think the #13 might leave the HL tour. I think the Shark team will reunite on one side or the other and possibly with a new driver in the 1a. Look for Chase Randall to have one of the better choices of those open rides. Should be a very wild Silly Season.
I don't see Jacob Allen leaving the 1a car unless he wants to slow down, have a family, and run the 1a part time. Also Tanner Holmes did drive for them for few months in 2023 so they might get him again if Allen steps down in 2025. As for Chase Randall, I think he prob want to be on one, just take one of the open rides.
And what if the 83sr gets a charter spot? U think Dennis and Teresa Roth just walk out on a charter to be slaves to Woo again by being told when and where you can race and only so many?
@@gregoryjohnson3627 I think its a possibility. I don't see anyone at the moment deflect from Outlaws to High Limits (I could be wrong), so I could see them reunite on the Outlaws tour, whether its Jacob Allen, Tanner Holmes, or someone else.
The Holmes just ok is spot on. To many dnqs. But there were moments. If he passes Carson Mccarl in his heat I think he would have made the Knoxville nationals. But man the west coast swing hasn’t been good
I think the 360 nationals was the most disappointing part of the season tho. Just never really had anything. And after 2023 expectations were he would atleast make the feature
Hey Chase. You could definitely do a part 2 for this video with 5 more in each category. I'll add one driver to each list: Impressive- Bill Balog Just ok-Tyler Courtney Below Expectations-Jacob Allen Cheers buddy 🍻
@ctw2007 he hasn't been running up to his and his team's potential. Yes, they just got a big win but quite a few races they've been off. And by that I mean off for their team. But I appreciate your thoughts 😂
Impressive. Cole Macedo. last couple of years he has to have torn up more cars than anyone. He is just not making as many small mistakes that turn into huge problems. Just ok. Schatz. He is doing better than he has past few years but still not up to his own standards. Below Expectations. Has to be Peck. He needs to stop drinking. (Purely objective observation, Not judging) Heart Break Category. (Bonus) Geo at the Nationals.. Brutal.
Outlaws have already added Cole Macedo and look to be adding Williamson 2025. Hoping HIgh Limit can add but thinking more about hoping they don''t lose some to just not wanting to travel so much
Exceeds - 7BC. Outlaw wins and great HL season Meets - 24. Rico has been great the last month or so but the first few months were rough. Disappointing- 1A. I thought after Shark Racing won the million they would up their game. They must have pocketed the $$$ rather than putting it back into the team.
Chase - look where sye has raced. It’s basically only been national races. I see your thought process but winning on a national tour is tough when it’s you and 1 other guy. Been better than expectation in a lot of races IMO.
I’m surprised Allen didn’t make the disappointment list he got that win early on but since he has fallen to 13th in series points and has kind of been trash for most of the season
I think the wicker bills and tires have thrown some good and great teams for a massive loop this year so unless woo changes anything then we can probably expect more of the same next season, its damn shame Woo controls the sport over just a few sanctioned crown jewel races they have otherwise imo High Limit would make there own better rules to improve the racing overall.we got Eldora coming up this weekend and you can guarantee the two nights will be won off the front row because of 🙄dirty air🫣 and drivers unable to do much because of lack of downforce, ohh well woo knows best

Why didnt he race with the Outlaws these past weeks in California?
@@mjriemen I think due to rough high limits west coast stretch and worn out do need a break. He will be with the Outlaws at Tulare this weekend.

I feel bad for Zeb WIse. I like him and the team. This has not been a good year for 26

@@TripleB3 I totally agree about Windom. He's a much better driver than his results indicate.
I think both Roth cars could be said to be above expectations. On the WoO I think Haudenschild could fall below expectations.

I rekcon the big sook, sorry typo the big cat is “ just ok”
Definitely lost his hard edge since leaving the outlaws
Good episode Chase 👍
A very entertaining look. Holmes should not have made this board, He needs a expert crew chief! Nice job Chase.
If Holmes didnt have the RUclips channel, hed be in the same category as Conner Morell…

Found his stats. He has done 2 fast races (on not good tracks), 1 western Pa speedweek race in which he got 5th, and then national races
Solid thought process and analysis ... this list could probably be 30 drivers very easily.
Yea could certainly be much longer but this one was already 20 mins long for just 15🤣
Great stuff.
Rahmer is a one track guy with mostly sub par competion.
Maybe do highly underrated non wing and midget drivers next 👀
