Ian's rejects are often better than other groups' best efforts! ;-)
I would definitely love to see Under Wraps & Roots To Branches ... but anything else too.

I'm always suprised that in these box sets there are not more pictures of the band. All the ones I can see from you flipping through the set I've seen before. It seems like they did a lot more promotional photography before the 80's and then did a minimum of it afterwards.
It's fun to see the band horsing around, or Ian in whatever get-up he is wearing at the time.

I'm already amazed all these book boxsets ever saw the light of day, knowing how reluctant Ian has been in the past to add 'disregarded' original material to any release. It's like he was ashamed of what he found to be 'mistakes' during recording sessions. We all know Ian Anderson is a bit of a perfectionist and he always wanted what he considered the best songs or the best versions of songs appearing on an album. But Ian is, besides a perfectionist, also a genius and a lot of the material he considered unworthy was in fact often on par with what had been originally released. I'm glad he changed his mind in the end, although I'm now wondering what other gems Ian held back on that might expose his 'flaws'. Cheerio amigo.

@@JimmyRJumpthe divide between artist and fan is this, fans WANT to hear the mistakes and value them. I love the studio Quatrain where Ian screws up the mandolin part and says “oh fuck sorry !” I like knowing our heroes are human and can make mistakes too.

Why not just make it one video with the review? Likely I'll never find you again, one can’t subscribe to every channel of every video you ever enjoy.

@@markfrantzen9576 hi, thanks for commenting and asking. I was experimenting with different things - after publishing this video I did a subscriber poll and everyone seemed to prefer unboxing / reviews as one video. So I’m adopting that format for new releases from now on. I did record a Bursting Out review, however, it’s one of my best performing videos to date.

PS why not subscribe to every channel / video you enjoy ? There’s no cap on subscription numbers are there ??? I’d appreciate your support, many of my videos seem to struggle in the algorithm. Thanks and have a nice day!

Thanks for replying Ian, I'm sorry if my comment seemed unduly harsh. I think people watching music review videos (like this one) would like 3 things: 1. A sampling of the actual music (if that's legally permissible) 2. A commentary on the music, in this case the Steve Wilson remix. 3. Impressions of the packaging, liner notes etc. And I think they want all these things in one video. If you find one great reviewer you'll definitely be loyal to them. It's difficult to follow multiple channels as there just isn't enough time in the day. Look forward to your next submission. 😊

@@markfrantzen9576 I don’t think I can use a single second of copyright music without the risk of having my content demonetized. Since most things these days are on streaming (or even searchable on RUclips) I don’t think I’ll be including samples on any of my stuff. The one exception would be if I cover anything that’s not copyrighted.
