Every Mechanic and Auto Electrician (Me) has been caught with this style of thing, stickers on wrong or part with wrong label etc., the main thing is we learn from it and make the customer happy in the end, you achieved both so well done.
Baz every day is a school day you cart be any way responsible for that I would of gone colour to colour if you don't like you said it go's against everything. Excellent video and well diagnosed
My biggest head scratcher was headlight washers on a mini inop. After hours, head scratching, a washer pump and an ecu later it turned out the bonnet switch was the issue....
Had a similar case once. Another garage had taken off and cleaned the DPF on a ford kuga 2.0 tdci. Came in with limp mode. Codes for differential pressure sensor. Could never make sense of the differential pressure I was reading on the diagnostic. Turns out the pipes to the differential pressure sensor were switched. One side of each pipe is smaller in diameter to the other side. And there is a small and big fit on the dpf metal pipe and differential sensor. So the natural thing there was to put small to small and big to big, but wrong! Switched the lines back and it was fixed. Real head scratcher!

This is some French-tier design decisions right here, engineers truly live in a different world to mechanics.
Big hugs baz. I feel your pain. I've had customer cars before where they are tampered then denied they took bits off. Sends you down a rabbit hole.

Job done. Problem sorted. Chalk it up as a learning curve. Shit happens. Some man for 1 man fair play.
You are one of a very few on RUclips that is very honest. You never misled anyone.
Now that’s an infuriating problem, no wonder you look knackered and fed up at the end. At least you got to the bottom of it fella.
nitemare Baz, you fixed it in the end , well done
Another great video Baz, most importantly your honesty and explaining your train of thought 👌
Mate what a nightmare 😮 well done for getting to the bottom of it 👍
I remember them doing similar with some Old Ford coil packs! Swapping the 4 locations around 🤣🤷♂️ made me scratch my head 👍🤣
Great content baz I always look forward to watching you work on cars outstanding
There is nothing worse than having to question your own work when in our heads we have done it correctly 🤷🏻♂️
You got there in the end Baz, i bet some dealers wouldn't. Great video 👍.
Learnt something new, you won't get caught again. Great content. Thank You
Every mechanic makes mistakes that’s how we learn
You sort it baz top mechanic hope you have had a nice weekend 😊on your bike 🏍
Just found your channel and binge watched a fair few of your old videos. Great content bud :)
Cheers buddy really appreciate it

Finally you get it SENT!

Nice one Baz 👍
Well done, what scanner are you using in this vid?
What vehicle scanner is that!? Looks nice, I'm in the market for one
I bought a new NTK lambda sensor the other day to find the wires were incorrectly mounted in the plug.....it happens 👍
What’s your view on aftermarket parts quality? Any views on Febi, Lemforder, SKF?
Air suspension systems are an utter ball ache it seems! Stupid design to have the colours in the wrong places on the valve block...
3:29 and don't know the solution yet but I'm guessing rear left and right air lines switched.
And how do you charge the customer?
How do you charge for such a job, do you take a haircut?
Are you the ower of the shop?
I'd have done exactly the same as you Baz and anybody who says they wouldn't is telling porkies....
