    It is so cool to see a band that is so talented having so much fun !!! Just passionately jammin' out. The 60's and 70's were such a great time to grow up in; so much great music ! ✌❤🌻😷🎶

    This entire show is a must watch. Terry Kath is certainly the most underrated and most deserving of praise of any major guitarist I know. Jimi Hendrix said Terry Kath was the best guitarist he ever saw.

    Danny Seraphine killing it on the drums! It’s easy to forget that Chicago was a *powerful* band back in the day. A long way from Hard to Say I’m Sorry. Oh, and check out Leonid and Friends for their amazing Chicago covers!

      Yes, Leonid and Friends feature musicians from Ukraine, Georgia and Russia who cover Chicago as well as modern-day Chicago. I saw them on one of their U.S. tours.

    A long-time Chicago fan has reported that at one Hendrix concert, Jimi made a reference to Kath out of the blue, saying something to the effect, "You gotta check out this guy Terry Kath. His band is CTA. He's the best guitar player in the universe."

    if a horn song not needed members can become one of the coolest percussion section
    who would have thought Jimmy pankow could lay down the cowbell like a boss and that's the trombone man who made all the horn arrangements that's the man right there when it comes to the classic Chicago horn sound.

    Terry sings Colour My Word as a solo. It's a slow ballad and you just fall in love with it every time you hear him sing it.

    "Feeling Stronger Every Day" is an Awesome song of theirs. It will get your blood going ! "If You Leave Me Now" is haunting and soulful with a great vocal lead.

    It helps if you already know the lyrics because well, they are just too excited to enunciate clearly while jamming out like this. As fun as these live performances are you should listen to the studio stuff. Chicago Transit Authority is a great place to start.

    Late to the party here..but you're spot on in regards to your comment about these guys riffing and playing for themselves and each other first. Terry,.Walter, Lee and Danny grew up and went to school together NW side of Chicago and bordering suberbs and when Robert and James and Peter hooked up with them in college -(DePaul and Roosevelt) the friendships cemented and grew into what you just saw. I've always felt their bond whenever I saw them play, too. Magical ❤️

    Seen Chicago by the lake free concert and they rocked big time. Chicago one of Chicago's greatest big bands.

    Saw them in 1970 at the Baltimore Civic Center. They only had 2 albums out at that time. They were absolutely fantastic!

    This is a cover of the song originally recorded by "The Spencer Davis Group". I've always preferred this version with the killer percussion & Kath's guitar. John Bonham and Neil Peart are the top-tier drummers, but Danny Seraphine was right behind them. Next, please react to "Beginnings".

    It wasn't about the money back then. It was about friendly competition. There were no separation of all these musicians respected and appreciated each other. It's a shame that these "musicians" these days are making money without any real talent. We were spoiled back then. We thought it would always be like that. ✌

    I saw them in 1972 & 1973. Always amazed by the drummer's ability to get the most out of what appeared to be A Sears starter kit. Terry Kath lifts this far above Steve Winwood 's original. And I am fan of his too.

    On the band's debut album, Chicago Transit Authority, you MUST react to Poem 58. Blues, funk, and a KILLER Terry Kath instrumental for the first several minutes before vocals kick in and tempo changes. You will not be disappointed.
