This was (in my opinion) the best performance of the Freddy tribute concert. Sir Elton John's voice was perfect for the first part and Axel's voice was perfect for the second part. 2 performers that can sing live and fit together in this song.
I remember that day. Sadness over Freddie's death. The love and admiration of those music giants for Queen. And the enjoyment, which will be eternal, of these universal songs, which are moving and are part of our personal history.
Thanks so much for sharing this - incredible! I would have never imagined this combination of performers. So beautifully chaotic, powerful, and emotional. Brian killed it! This music truly is a work of art. Interesting reaction and discussion guys!!
hey guys! writing to you from Svizzera… i have seen your reactions to Elvis. loved them but i m sad you didnt get to see live performances. Elvis is much better luve😊check out the 68 comeback special for example if i can dream or trying to get to you. also live: never been to Spain( its a vibe!) …polk salad Annie … a bit of stage action . its all great, all different. really early footage of Elvis live in Tupelo or on tv shows is insightful too. of course there are documentaries too which really will bliw your mind about what kind of man Elvis was. i personally really enjoy the Elvis rehearsals in the 70 s. hope to see some more Elvis reactions from you now. So glad Axl managed to pull himself together and perform at this Tribute concert. This was in the height of Axl's "behavior issues". He was a big ? right up til the performance. But he showed up and was amazing 😊
Bohemian Rhapsody (1975) is a classic, it has to be one of the most famous, and one of the most loved songs ever!! The whole Freddie Tribute Concert is emotional, George, you just feel that the spirit of Freddie is there and everything is about him of course. There were loads of guest singers including Robert Plant, David Bowie, Roger Daltry, and George Michael. The rock band, Extreme, did a wonderful medley of Queen songs, it was fabulous. Incidentally, here's something which I think you'd like, guys, a video which I've watched quite a lot and it always makes me feel emotional. There's a band called Green Day and this video is called Green Day Crowd Singing Bohemian Rhapsody (Live in Hyde Park 2017). The whole crowd (about 65,000?) sang the song and it's just incredible to hear it being sung by so many voices. I do hope you can watch it some time, guys, it's as you said, everyone knows this wonderful song, it never ages and it never will. Thanks for your great reaction, guys, always good, hope you're feeling better, George, take care now and all the best. 😊😊
I am one of the biggest Queen fans out there and I LOVE this performance! Who would have ever thought to pair Elton John and Axl Rose together....Brilliant!!
@@lindsaycrellin4588I think it was done to see how they reacted towards each other, especially Axl with him being homophobic, yet Elton John is one of Axl's influences taking into account he's homosexual.
Fun fact: Axel at some point started singing the first refrain of Queen’s song “Sail Away Sweet Sister” before GNR performed their song “Sweet Child of Mine” in concert. He did it acapella. Brian May wrote “Sail Away” and it’s beautiful!
Hey, guys. This was a fabulous reaction. I was in Philadelphia when this Tribute was broadcast worldwide. I’ve not seen one reactor react to what was in 1992, and still is, imo, the most emotional moment of the entire very moving concert. Please, please consider reacting to the finale- ‘We Are the Champions’ sung by Liza Minnelli (Brian says all you need to know about Liza and Freddie in his introduction of her). The entire cast of performers join in with her for the final farewell- even through the video you can feel the massive love and appreciation for Freddie. But the best part comes at the end… You have to watch this one to the very end to hear the tremendous roar of that enormous live audience when ‘God Save the Queen’ begins and the Man of Honor himself appears. Trust me, you’ll need a tissue or two! Most RUclipss of this finale song cut off before ‘God Save the Queen’- if you decide to watch (or, react, please) make sure you watch this one, to the very end. Thank you! You guys are awesome- always intelligent, exuberant, and heartfelt reactions. Thank you! ruclips.net/video/zSxKIVm33mE/видео.html Queen + Liza Minnelli/Cast - We Are the Champions
Thanks boys beautiful reaction if you look at Rogers face when they came together at the end his smile is because they wasn’t sure if Axl would turn up you should also react to George Michael singing somebody to love and David Bowie and Annie Lennox singing under pressure at the same concert sending love from England x x
Love you guys !! Please react to "The Making of 'No One But You (Only The Good Die Young)" and then the actual video "The Making of No One But You (Only The Good Die Young )" Its a beautiful tribute song for Freddie , written by Brian May . Thanks , big fan of you guys here , Joe in Los Angeles .
George Michael was a superstar. He sang somebody to love in tribute to Freddie who died from aids whilst his boyfriend (which wasn't publicly known at the time) also had just been diagnosed. Imagine the strength he had to do that. Rip Freddie and George ❤
If you want a real treat, you should react to a group called Leonid and Friends ( a Russian group) and their live performance of a cover of Earth, Wind and Fire and their song called Fantasy. Wow, what a performance. Of the highest caliber. Amazing. You won’t believe how good they are! They also do covers of the band, Chicago and are known also as “ Chicagovich”. They sound like Chicago and the only other band that comes close to sounding like Chicago is Chicago. This group is unbelievable.
The absolute best live Bohemian Rhapsody that Queen did was live in Montreal 1981. It’s a must see!!!! Also, again I’m asking you to PLEASE PLEASE react to the live version of Its A Kjnd of Magic live at Wembley 1986. It’s nothing like the studio version that you all were not too impressed with. Please do it and I swear you will love it! That entire 1986 Wembley concert was perfect .
Love this tribute concert! Some stellar performances by some of the biggest rock stars on the planet! Axl Rose said that Queen is his favorite rock band! And of course, Elton is one of Freddie’s good friends! Check out James Hetfield (Metallica) sing with Queen STONE COLD CRAZY! Head banger! 🤘🤘

Greetings from Finland guys!!! Stairway to heaven is great song but bohemian rhapsody is the best song ever and there will ever be another one that could even compete with it's masterful done diversity!!! "I'll be back" 😎
My heart just aches for how hard this was for Queen. You guys should react to “Why bohemian Rhapsody was the greatest song ever written” I just watched it and it’s so good.
On November 24th., 2023 will the 32nd anniversary of Freddie Mercury’s Death. It just my opinion but I don’t think there is a better way to pay tribute to Freddie than by listening to No But You ( Only The Good Die Young) written by Brian May performed by Queen. Brian and Roger take turns signing the verses and sing together on the chorus. The song really showcases how strong Brian and Roger’s voices are. John doesn’t sing but he plays the bass in the song. It was the last song John recorded with the band.
I would recommend you to react to Tommy Johansson doing queen covers. He is amazing! He hasreally honored Freddie with several of his hits. Tommys channel is a rabbithole
Freddie's stuff was just auctioned off. His piano, which this song was written on and others, went for over 2 million. I like to think Elton bought it.
I'm fairly new to you two and I have enjoyed your Yes coverage, Deep Purple etc and other rock bands but one glaring omission from your choices that I can see is Uriah Heep. For me on par with Purple from 70 to 75 with David Byron on vocals along with Gillan the greatest rock singers of their time.
This shouldn't work, but it does. From the same concert, you should listen to The Show Must Go On by Elton John. Also, check out James Hetfield from Metallica singing Stone Cold Crazy, and compare it to Freddie and Queen. Finally, as others have said, you should check George Michael's version of Somebody To Love.
Sad you stopped reacting to Queen. I used to love watching your reactions but so many great songs ignored. Weird when you obviously loved Innuendo but didn’t follow it up with any further Queen listening choices. Why don’t you guys react to more soft rock songs? Like Ambrosia, their song , How Much I Feel as well as Biggest Part of Me… official music videos where they perform live. Maybe you don’t like soft rock, but this band is amazing. You should expand your reactions and do more soft rock and more female artists. Bonnie Raitt, and her song, I Can’t Make You Love Me and Donny Hathaway, A Song For You are both amazing songs.
@@Jules-um4yy Yes, Leon Russell’s version is popular, but my favorite will always be Donny Hathaway. I know these guys prefer rock to soft rock, but there are so many groups and songs they’re missing out on.
