Leon is larger than Golf, and it looks beautiful as well. However a VW Golf is always solid while driving, agree with you. That's why I am going to sell Leon to buy a Golf 8 soon. Even a Style Golf 8 is also better than a Leon FR. I drive both and eliminate Leon.
Just ordered this today, cant wait
So this is the new Seat Focus?
Love my 2019 Excellence Lux. Seat threw almost every option on this model & my 2.0 TSI has independent rear suspension
They do independent suspension if you get any engine with more than 150bhp
Instead of 'sliding', you can also tap on the plus (blue) and minus (red) to set the temp.
i am happy he got a new stick. He deserves it. Its bigger as well.
Asking Carwow to make a video on the facelifted 5 series and M5 attempt 5. I won’t stop.
Like so Carwow can see
This car will become relevant to me in 25 years, when I can import one to the USA
No I don’t want a golf this car is a beast
The past model looked so much better.
_Looks better than the Golf, imo_ 👌
The front looks like a Mazda and the back looks like an Astra lmao
And the side like Focus.
Check out the new Mazda3. It is a proper peace of art, what seat will never be
@@TZalexandru and the Tipo... And a few others
The rear looks like Lexus except those fake exhaust
@@TZalexandru the window line is way more like an astra than a focus.
Netflix: Are you still watching?
Somebody's daughter right now: 13:52
Looks good, will probably buy the ST (Estate) of these in 5 years when they are under half the price and I move on from my current 2018 Leon FR ST which is an excellent car.
I'd definitely get the ST, it looks way better than this hatchback imo. Nothing beats the front end of the previous Leon though.
Classing the golf as m&s, really it's Tesco at a push.
The cost cutting on a golf is crazy it doesn't even use gas struts for the bonnet any more
It's side profile looks like an old BMW 1 series
And that’s a good thing imo, the new bmw 1 series doesn’t look good as a bmw 1 series but if it was a Hyundai or Kia then I’d say it looks fairly decent

Yeah I think it looks like a cross between a Volvo V40 and a BMW 1 series.
Claus chill out
12:31 shows an average MPG since the last refuel at 38.2MPG. Matt claims he is averaging 53.5MPG. Something doesn't add up here.
Anyone else spot this? Carwow?
may be he didn't drive the car since refuelling. there are 3 ways to view fuel economy: since START, since REFUEL, Long-term. And Leon is one of the very few cars which offers more mileage per Gallon that it claims.
In time he was driving, the car was averaging 50 MPG (when he said it), but he always drive really sporty, so when he's done driving it become 38 mpg. Very normal !
@@bharathwajkrishnamoothi Literally every "Leon" except one 2L TSI motor gets less MPG than it claims.

So your claim seems to be backed up by nothing substantive just like the claims that the manufacturer makes. I wonder if such a manufacturer could ever fabricate other important numbers about their cars...oh wait, its the VAG group! Anyway, I suspect the numbers Matt showed. He must have been really gentle with the review car, which he is known to be...
@@ouassim- That makes no sense, it would be the other way by your logic. He says "I am averaging 53.5MPG", either he is straight-up lying or he has had the car for longer than the last refuel. If he was quoting the long terms economy he would be lying again as he would be speaking about a time when the car wash;t in his possession so he couldn't be averaging that.
+1
The plonking of infotainment systems on the dash needs to stop.
The Scala boot might be bigger but you dont get the room in the back as you do in the new Leon. Front of it looks better than the back imo. Preferred the bigger back lights of the out going model.
This new Leon's face stands out more than the MK8 Golf, although the previous generation of the Leon was alot better looking than today's.
Missing the old agressive look of leon.. now looks like a good boy
7:36 Matt - if you stopped waving the key around we could see what you were talking about!
Having the climate controls on the touch screen is for me a deal breaker.
I'm not fan of its looks either.
I’d rather watch this channel any day rather than the new top gear
For anyone wondering. The tesco in the analogy would be a Jetta
This seat is the least ruined model of its “facelift” category
It's a new generation, not a facelift. All 3 of the cars
HSV Commodore all of them are ruined
@@hsvcommodore4111 he's referring to the new "euro" friendly pedestrian impact noses
You get independent rear suspension in the more powerful models, as in the golf.
Last time I was this early, the stick of truth wasn't even around
Matt just explained UK supermarkets to me perfectly
In North America, we're not getting the base Golf 8 (a decision I'm protesting against), and SEATs have never been sold here. A Volkswagen-badged SEAT Leon for the New World wouldn't be a bad alternative.
