I've seen multiple people in the comment secotion on this channel ask "can you play this song on a seven string lyre?" The answer is yes. (I will be posting this comment on every video so everyone can see it) I had the same problem so I tuned my lyre to be E F G A B C D so I'd be able to play *almost* any song on this channel. The only problem in tuning the lyre this way is that you can't play 2 of the same notes on the lyre on higher cords Example: (G G') When that happens just play the singular G note if it looks like this: G G' -Just play the G note twice It works but you may have to occasionally tune the cords for certain songs that are higher or lower pitched of your song. This way works (for most songs)and I know because I learned a few songs already
Saint seiya my favorite anime! I love this melody so much, it reminds me of when I was little and watching the episodes of the Hades arc. Thank you really for this tutorial, I'm so happy thanks to you, thank you ! 🥲🙏🏻
Hi. For beginners, I think getting a 16-string or 19-string lyre is the most versatile option. I made a video comparing 3 common models. Maybe it'll help you find the one that suits you the most: ruclips.net/video/m3z4OBTDTDQ/видео.html
Hola! Do you mean how to tune it? I have a video just about that: ruclips.net/video/GkFsgHpadgg/видео.html . Hope it contains the information you need.
Hi Jacqueline. That's just my way of writing, lol. I use punctuation marks to replace the numbers so the notes look simpler. The way I do it, 3 is equivalent to the comma, 4 to no punctuations, and 5 to the apostrophe. To write the notes in order: G, A, B, C D E F G A B C' D' E' F' G' A' G3 A3 B3 C4 D4 E4 F4 G4 A4 B4 C5 D5 E5 F5 G5 A5 Hope it helps!
I have forgotten if I said that I like this song very much. Could you play this also on Hanago? Would you mind to play also once Hades - Lament of Orpheus - it is from my privat "wish-list" 🥰
Thank you! :) Yes, this song can be played on the Hanago, so are the other songs on my channel, but not the other way round. That's why I hesitate on making Hanago covers... because my viewers can't play accidentals on their lyre harps. Will they stop watching my channel when I make Hanago videos? What do you think? Lament of Orpheus is a song many people have requested. One of the most requested I have to say! Maybe I need to push it sooner, haha.
@@SamanthaonMars Lament of Orpheus should be include in your performances! :D I think you should proceed on lyre harp- go for it :) Hanago can be only a nice variety one day.
Aaahhh that's so beautiful! Could you also make Mime's requirem, from Saint Seiya? He was actually the reason why I thought of buying my lyre, to begin with! By the way, have you liked the Rebel Army song from Final Fantasy? Did you manage to solve the tricky parts? I'm glad you still make content, you know
Thanks for the suggestions! Mime's Requiem is one I also like. I haven't arranged the Rebel Army yet. It's still on my list but there are other songs I want to do more. 😅
@@SamanthaonMars I think you are going to have some trouble with Mime's requiem because of the sharp notes that are also normal notes on some parts of the song. Sounds like a challenge ! ;)
I started a TikTok channel to post my songs on flute and recorder. Started getting a lot of anime requests. Do you know where I can find sheet music for this genre? I just subscribed 🥳
Thank you, Eirikr! Your TikTok channel sounds like a lot of fun. I've had success finding sheet music by googling "XXX (song name) sheet music" or by searching on musescore dot com. I don't remember if they belonged to the anime genre though. I play by ear most of the time.

Hello, Samantha,enjoy your lyre cover so much,however,my lyre is cega 19 string ,i guss,your notes A, B, C D E F G meanA3 B3 C4 D4 E4 F4 G4 and C' D' E' F' G' A' mean C5 D5 E5 F5 G5 A5,i just try translater to 19 string notes,but sound a littler bit different about A,B,C,D sound,(my lyre isA3,B3,C4,D4),is i play inccorrect strtring? I feel confused ,so wish you can guide me to study. thanks
Hi. Your understanding is correct. The comma (,) is the same as 3 and the apostrophe (') is 5. If you're playing the correct strings and they sound different, maybe the strings are out of tune? Strings require tuning every now and then. I would use a tuning app to help me tune to the correct pitch. I hope it solves your problem. Please let me know if you need further help.
@@SamanthaonMars Nice to read your reply,i think so too,i usually turn my lyre before play it. for my ear listening the D4,E4,C4 sounds are oddly but my tuning app show them right..(.i used gStrings app in my phone) so that is mean maybe the app have problom? thanks for your answer
I think they're both great for beginners. I've only played with 16 strings, and I think it's enough most of the time. With 19 strings, you have 3 extra strings at the high end. You'll have slightly bigger range to work with. You can still follow all my videos with a 19-string lyre.
@@SamanthaonMars is it 19 strings more complete version of a lyre/useful to reach every songs. One is enough to have in life doesn't matter if me a beginner it will be kept forever since it's expensive🐒. So i gotta make my ideas crystal clear before purchasing eheh
@@jackydu8724 There are many types of lyres, ranging from the little 7-string to larger ones with 30 or more strings. Each one is complete on its own. It all depends on the user's need and style. But I know what you mean. You're looking for a lyre that is flexible enough to play both beginner and advanced songs. In this case, perhaps 19 is the better choice for you. It has enough range to play a wide variety of music, while still manageable.
