Tera Fire Vaporeon + Sunny Day Weather Ball can one shot the dude from 60-70% so personally I'd go with that.
I said the same thing on his 5-minute video yesterday, I used Vaporeon with Fire Tera Type. It's really effective.
What EVs/Nature and item? Any other moves?
Can I ask for the build for that?

I found success using my Gallade build from the Empoleon raid.
Gallade (Sharpness) @ Shell Bell
252 Atk, 252 SpDef, 4 HP, helpful Atk nature
Tera: Fighting
Moves:
-Mystical Fire
-Swords Dance
-Sacred Sword
No need for a fourth move, but I put Life Dew in case of an early crit.
Strat:
Turns 1-3: use Mystical Fire. Does zero damage, but lowers his SpAtk long enough for you to set up (plus you're Tera Charging). If you're fast enough, he won't remove the debuff before you SD.
Turns 4-6: Swords Dance. Since his buffs occur when his HP falls, your CPU buddies won't bring him below the threshold, so wait to use Sacred Sword until the last possible moment.
Turn 7+: Spam Sacred Sword to victory. Sacred Sword bypasses all of Blastoise's Defense buffs, plus is boosted 50% by Sharpness. Doesn't take too long to bring his HP down. I had more than 50% of time left even after I was K'ed once because he double attacked.
I’ve seen several folks use this exact build but were destroyed.
@@KingRumar I've beaten Blastoise multiple times with this strat and never been close to losing. I'm not sure what those other people were doing differently...could come down to bad luck. This is a solo build, so I'm not sure how successful it would be with other players/online.
Used 252 spd 200 hp and the rest in speed to out pace before shell smash
I might try this I love Gallade and he needs to be used more often for me.
Dont forget to use a raid power sandwiche to increase rewards! For steel you need

I used Water Absorb Poliwrath, Fighting Tera holding Metronome for a really easy win.
only thing that you need is max attack and max PP on Drain Punch
Moveset Drain Punch, Close Combat (just needed if you run out of PP on drain punch). Haze and Belly Drum
Turn 1 haze, turn 2 Belly drum, then 3 drain punches, terrastilize, and spam drain punches.
use haze again after Shell smash and then Belly drum and continue spamming drain punches.
This is pretty much what I did.
This was my take on this too!
I’m loving that people have been using different strategies that all work. I’ve seen plenty different vaporeon strategies already but I’ve also seen stuff like cobalion, serperior, Keldeo and will probably see a lot more variety being used for this
Add in Clogsire, Quagsire, and our froppy boy Politoed
Gallade as well
Try my Virizion strategy: Tera fighting max Attack and Sp Def. Swords dance when you have an opening and use sacred sword (ignores all the defense boosts)
I've seen a lot of people saying it's easy in comparison to other raids which is why some people are going crazy with builds, I might do a pawmot build just to see if it works lol

I was at a raid with someone using a Vaporeon, Gastrodon, and a Gallade while I used Blissey cuz I didn’t know what else to use and just supported them and I don’t think any of us died once. Either of those 3 are really good
The Gallade sacred sword build is also super easy solo, its as easy as following a move script and works every time. interested to try this vaporeon build out tho since it looks very low investment

I used a fire tera Vaporeon for this raid. Moveset: scald, weather ball, calm mind, sunny day. Item: ability shield

You forgot to mention it's nature should be modest.
I've just been running support with Water Absorb Clodsire with Haze and Helping Hand. Have seen a lot bringing Gallade to this. Makes sense, Sacred Sword being able to ignore the Defense buffs.

If you are lucky enough to have one, Volcanion is the perfect counter to Blastoise: High Special Attack, gets STAB from fire-type moves (and extra when in Tera), Water Absorb as its ability, resistance to Flash Cannon and neutral damage from Aura Sphere.
Just Hyper train SpA, give it 252 EVs, a Modest Mint, and a Shell bell. The only two moves you need are Sunny Day (to remove Rain) and Flamethrower

I tried a bunch of combinations, but the one that worked was Espathra with Opportunist ability (so it’ll take all the defenses when Blastoise uses them) and the moves were Lumina Crash, Light Screen, and Sunny Day. This helped defend against its water and other attacks, and harshly weakened its special defense when using Lumina Crash (which helps because Blastoise mostly uses defense and not special defense)
This took. A lot longer than expected
i think this strategy is a bare minimum. i use exactly the same strategy except i use mystic water. got lucky 2-3 times critical hit on shield while in tera form and when in low health the turtle hit me with water. it only 5 min for me ^^

Gastrodon Tera Ground with Storm Drain was too easy, I went with a special bulk and lefties, with Amnesia, Recover, Earth Power, and Tera Ground, and my Sp.Atk was higher than my atk so I just had to spam ground attacks
Gastrodon is one of my best support mvps for raids. Gonna be cool for him to get these dubbs
@@Hip-Gnosis1134 took me 2 attempts but if you do it with Tera water Electro frog, Tera fighting iron hands, and 2 Tera ground storm drain gastrodons, you get an easy W
I used a gastrodon as well, so easy with storm drain
This is absolutely the play. Easy mode for this raid.
I've been farming it with Modest Gastrodon with the same moves + Metronome held item. My husband and I, both with the same build, can drop him before he resets our stats almost every time (it's happened like twice out of 15+ raids).

I’m using the vaporeon build with fire Tera type, similar tactics but just loads of setup and weather ball under sunny day. Love seeing versatile builds with my favourite eeveelution!
My move set up was different, for example, sunny day and weather ball with the fire Tera type was how blastoise was one shot after its Tera shield was gone and with at least 3 fake tears and almost 6 calm minds, blastoise was down with one shot before the end. Then it was caught in a regular poke’ball even with a shell bell on vaporion, it felt nostalgic because it was one of the three kanto starters that started its debut since 1996. But other than that, that’s how I caught blastoise in both Pokémon scarlet and violet from another video via RUclips channel. And also I used a hisuian goodra with a stat build with an air balloon and the ability sap sipper with an adamant mint and high hp & attack, and the rest on speed, if I remember right, like against the venusaur Tera raid event with curse and 2 physical steel type attacks, and Tera blast, just so you know. First tried it! I used Basculegion, it’s immune to aura sphere, and resists hydro pump and flash cannon
Also used a female one since I thought special attacks would be better

Gallade with Shell bell.
Start with 3 sword dance and start sacred sword spam. Got it solo first try.
I also use that but with calm mind and life dew to tank and heal
This is the best build ever! It worked out perfectly, i even finished it before quarter till the end. I got sweet spicy salty bitter herbs mysticas and a ability patch! will farm through the weekend! thx so much

Tera fire Volcarona works very well too. Able to solo in much faster timing.
Sunny day, Fiery dance, quiver dance, struggle bug. Simple,counter everything that blastoise wants to do, and can go even faster with some luck from fiery dance

Spam fiery dance to victory

Evs: 252 sp atk. Both 252 sp def or 252 hp works.
This build works well with tera fire vaporean build as well, since both of our builds work under sunny day.
I did this before the video and I used a corvinknight that used metal sound and light screen (I don’t have any of the good stat mons so I just used a support to help the damages online)
What i did was a Fire Tera Vaporeon with sunny day and weather ball.
I did
-252 Sp. Atk and Sp. Def
-Water Absorb
-PP Up Wheather Ball
-Shell Bell
-Calm Mind six times
-Sunny Day
-Weather Ball
-Tera
-Weather ball till shield break
-Set sun when it disappears
-Fake tears and calm mind ( i did 2-3 calm mind)
-Set sun if it disappeared
-Weather ball till death.
Worked like a charm
Unfortunately this strat is only good if you've bought the DLCs as you can't get the Weather Ball TM otherwise.
@@ReapedPsyche oof you're right! I didn't think about that. Aren't there pokemon in SV that learn the move naturally and can pass it with the mirror herb?
@@bloonh8tr619 idk if mirror herb requires the source pkmn to share an egg group, but snorunt learns weatherball via level up
@@tylerswinson9875 Mirror herb does not require the same egg group, but that doesn't actually matter here, because Weather Ball is not one of Eevee's egg moves. It's a TM, and you can't transfer TMs with mirror herb.

I used a metronome earthpower Clodsire build I saw. And my two of my teammates used the Vaporean weather ball build and the third was an annihilape.
This works every time! Ive done at least 10 so far and havent ran out of time or fainted once

This seems so straight forward. I was debating a bulletproof Kommo-o but this seems way easier.
I used storm drain gastrodon with a similar set to Vaporeon worked a treat
I used a different version of Vaporeon I found in another video that worked just fine. Fake Tears/Sunny Day/Calm Mind/Weather Ball, FIRE Tera Type, Water Absorb, Shell Bell
Osiris has a Gallade build, the ev’s are specific, but in that video he cleared the raid with 3/4 of the timer left
Something I loved and found really helpful from the previous videos was where at the end you put up what you do each turn in one list. If you see this do you think you could consider putting that back in these types of videos?

2:14 Austin accidentally says Water Absorb is Vapreon's hidden ability. This should make the build easier to get.

This one was pretty easy I did it with Koraidon my first attempt my second one everyone had vaporeon it went better that time thank you for the tips because I don’t usually make Pokémon for raids I only do competitive Pokemon but I need to farm so I can make some more so I needed an easy way to farm and I had a level 100 Vaporeon so i did it for once
I used a similar strategy with a tera water slowking with skill swap light screen calm mind and surf and it worked perfectly, but it seems like a gallade is probably the fastest way to do it because with the slowking it was difficult to take advantage of that skill swap when my online teammates were mostly using sunny day
I used Tera Ground Storm Drain Gastrodon with Earth Power, Protect for the ability removal turn and Recover (which I didn't need to use) and managed to win fairly easily
I saw the earlier vid and thought about a Vaporeon, but I did alright with the mightiest mark Empoleon that worked pretty well tbh. This one looks a lot better for solos though!
I used a Tera Ground Gastrodon with Storm Drain
Modest nature
Amnesia
Earth Power
Ancient Power or Mud Slap
Recover
Held item Metronome
Amnesia x2 first, then either Mud Slap 3 times for the accuracy drop or Ancient Power 3 times for the potential Omni boost.
Tera up and start spamming earth power.
Whenever he removes your stats and abilities you can put down another 2 Amnesia and continue back to spamming earth power.
He will occasionally boost your Sp Atk thanks to storm drain which is nice, and I never really needed to use recover but it’s there as a just in case.

I just used Iron Hands holding Scope Lens with the build for Empoleon and works great, it went down with around 60-70% time left, no need for a second Belly Drum because it’s so fast

Urshifu-R with Scope Lens works pretty well, no need to Tera either which saved a lot of timer.
Set was Swords Dance, Focus Energy, Drain Punch, and Scary Face (to use after he Shell Smashes so it doesn’t outspeed).
Always critting through those Def boosts is amazing; you even keep the focus energy after Blastoise resets your stats 👍
Note that turtle CAN oneshot with a crit Hydro in rain at +2, depending on SpDef investment, and you will want to Attack cheer at a few places to save PP. Once I put Scary Face on the set, I was consistently finishing the fight solo with at least 30% of time remaining

I saw a comment in another video with a pretty easy set up for Iron Hands:
Item:Scope Lens
EVs:252 atk and 252 ps
Moves:Focus energy,drain punch,close combat and belly drum:
T1:Focus Energy
T2:Belly Drum
T3:Drain punch
T4:Drain punch
T5:Drain Punch
T6:Terastalize and drain punch
T7:Drain punch
T8:Drain Punch
T9:Finish him with close combat
Focus energy and scope lens give you guaranteed crits and crits ignore all the def boosts.
Iron hands finished for me quick the time bar was half when i finished and no dying
Fighting tera iron hands. I know I know it's cheesy but I ran mine with focus energy holding the scope lens. Turn 1 focus energy and then spam drain punch. U could use swords dance or belly drum.

I thought all is lost as I don't have the dlc for the weather ball. This worked for me and I caught him!
Been doing this raid with Gallade. Initially tried Iron Hands the Vaporeon but took to long then with Gallade I can finish the raid much faster
I got it done with Storm Drain Gastrodon but the Vaporeon seems more reliable
That's a pretty interesting option to use.
I had good support players and used Calm Mind with Terapagos and took out over half its health in one hit with Tera Starstorm. I just used Tri Attack to get the Tera orb charged.

I was able to solo it with a Lucario but it took a few tries so there’s some luck involved. the strategy was basically just using Aura Sphere and Calm Mind with a shell bell.

This sounds really cool, I love Appletun! If you're able, can you give some more information like how many times you used moves for setup and what tera type yours had?
@@hannar.4127 Appletun with max sp attack+sp defence ev holding heat rock tera fire. Set up: amnesia 3 turns follow up with tera blast 3 turns. Sunny day then growth 3 turns. Use all out cheer then terastal to tera blast fire. Spam tera blast until stats reset. Repeat but be careful of rain dance. Use sunny day to get rid of rain. Find AI or friends that heals to stay alive. Hope this help, just try and error.
I actually got it with Koraidon. Doesnt take much damage but it's consistent. The key is to break the shield.
But obviously the key was someone else who used a Pokemon I don't have. I think it was a Volcanion. He did massive damage with his fire attacks.
I would have never tried a Water Pokemon against a Steel type and good thing I did it before this guide since I don't have a strong Vaporeon.

Im running support zamazenta with light clay, light screen, snarl, havent really needed much else lol
I did Iron Hands with Scope Lens, Focus Energy, Belly Drum, Electric Terrain and Drain Punch. Ezpz. But Vaporeon looks to be a great choice whether it's this build or the Tera fire/Weather Ball build.
I used the Gallade method and i didn't realize that Gallade had 0 Atk IV's but I still beated it
I had Stellar tera Serperior and another guy used Keldeo with calm mind and aura sphere

In the previous Blastoise video you used a website for calculating weaknesses for Tera Raid Battles, what is the name of that website and is there a link that we could get access?
I used my Hariyama. Drain punch, belly drum, focus energy, and a scope lense. Crit almost every attack and ignored the iron defenses
I have a shiny Vaporeon, gonna be using it for this one :)
i did it with vaporeon but tera fire, sunny day and either tera blast or weather ball (i went with TB myself)
