    Hi Jill, Love your show. I look forward to all your videos. My son is allergic to peanut butter. Is it OK to leave that ingredient out? Thanks!

      Sure, or you could use almond or cashew butter or just cashews 👍

      Elizabeth, are all tree nuts out? Coconut milk, refrigerated overnight so that the water is separated from the fats, could be a possibility to add the fats back in...

    There's sugar in bananas (about 14 grams per medium sized banana). There's sugar in strawberries (about 1 gram per medium sized strawberry). So it may be low on sugar, but it is definitely not "sugar free". Great recipe, though! :-)

    • @TheStefif
      @TheStefif 5 лет назад +2

      I think she meant "refined" sugar free - or artificial sugar... whatever you wanna call it... just the stuff that causes cavities basically. Sugar in fruit does not cause cavities, I don't think.

    Yum .. doesn't it taste like a Reese's Pieces? I think I would have just blended the strawberry mixture with the rest of the chocolate batch .. just to get the very last drop. I make bite sized frozen chocolates using equal amounts of cocoa, coconut shavings, chopped almonds, banana, dates, a little bit of maple syrup and vanilla. Pop them into an ice tray, into the freezer and ... voila. 🌹

      @@LindaCasey Actually I was wondering about the recipe... would you mind being more specific please? LIke, how to I measure up equal amounts of cocoa and bananas and dates? that would be super appreciated, thanks :)

    • @LindaCasey
      @LindaCasey 5 лет назад +1

      @@TheStefif You can make the amount and consistency YOU want, but if I use one banana, about one tablespoon date paste or a few regular chopped/mashed dates, a tablespoon of coconut shavings, about a tablespoon of chopped almonds, a tablespoon of cocoa powder, a splash of vanilla and/or maple syrup .. that will fill about half of the ice cube maker. I suppose you could put it in cups or ice cream containers too .. I've also used muesli/oats and linseeds .. heck, you can make it any way you want it. The 'trick' is to get that chocolatey taste and since I'm on a diet, I allow myself the luxury of a piece of frozen chocolate after dinner. Hope that helps. Feel free to ask more if you need to. 🌹

    Thanks so much! this video was super timely. I just made the chocolate ones today (I don't have your molds, I have the multi-colored ones that look like sword sheaths with a cap and are free-standing), the whole recipe was perfect to fill all the molds. The flavor is good although I myself might want to experiment with adding dates for more sweetness and the caramel-y taste.

      Frozen strawberries are usually cheaper and they're frozen at the peak of ripeness so you don't have to wait for them to ripen or worry about them going bad. Plus they are already cut and washed. I find it more convenient if all I'll be doing is blending them.

      @@lenisemicolon .. Yeah, however .. once they've been frozen, they are now a dead food .. less nutritious.
