- Today is part 2 of the patio pour at the new building, Tom and his crew from Concrete with the Hauses did a fantastic job pouring and stamping our patio in a wood stamp look and it came out great

We live in Western Pa. and Have around 100 Acres of Land, About 1/2 is ours the rest is my moms, We have 4 kids and two grandchildren 3 Golden Retrievers and one Cat. We enjoy working on our property and making improvements. We sell firewood and soon will be selling hardwood lumber.

I’ll admit if it were me I would prefer all one pattern in the concrete but both patterns looks fantastic. I would certainly have a difficult time choosing one or the other.
Both of those finish are beautiful, just not sure if I like the two different ones
side by side. Me personally, I think I would have used just the field stone.

The Concrete Stamping and Coloring is simply amazing and beautiful. The Hauses did an awesome job. A very talented and hard working crew. The new building is going to be really, really nice.

That is flagstone look on the first pour fieldstone is round like rocks i'm an old retired stone mason so I kinda know the look . They did nice work looks great

I was cringing during the pour hoping they wouldn’t splash any on all that beautiful stone you installed. I woulda covered the first few feet with plastic…
we were thinking the same, as we had stamped concrete and it hit the house all over, so they had to wash it off, and fast, with our hose.
Mike, they do great work but the saw cut that runs the entire length oddly doesn't match or fall on the joint of the wooden plank imprint. I'm surprised they didn't notice this when they snapped their chalk line to make the saw cut. All the wooden plank stamping should of been predetermined from the intersection of both cut lines. Most people wont notice it but I've done carpentry and concrete for 28 yrs so little things like that I notice. Very beautiful work though! Cheers from Canada!😁🇨🇦🔨

The wood planking looks absolutely great. Seeing what can be done to change plain Jane concrete into something that mimics wood is a skill that takes experience.

Will it hold up when you are shoveling snow off the stamped surfaces?
It holds up great! Shovels don’t really harm it, it’s the plows on trucks and quads that you don’t want to use

Phil, how soggy was it on the farm? I shudder to think of all the erosion on my driveway and stream crossing that I’ll have to fix when I get there in July.

cool idea and I'm glad y'all like it. The thought of imperfections would've most likely kept me from going this route though. Anything that might mess with the illusion--a crack in the concrete, one bad stamp, etc--it's all I'd ever see every time I looked at it. I know, I'm borderline OCD about this stuff.

The dust was our antiquing color. It’s the accent color that gives our decorative work its definition and realistic look

Could you do this over an existing concrete porch? Ours is slick and original to the house. I wanted to wood over it but the door entry would not match up. This would work if I could do it!

Do you have Barn Swallows that far North ? They will have a hay day with the exposed rafters building mud nest in them ! I had to put screening up to stop them from nesting. Great looking building! From NC

You would think that the dust that is thrown on before stamping would clog up the stamps and not give a good impression, but apparently not. (Not that I'm questioning Tom's expertise, because he obviously knows what he is doing.)
5.30 I wonder if a leaf blower would broadcast that material. I need to pour a 22x40 pad behind my house. I haven’t figured out what I want to do yet in terms of stamping.

Phil here from NE Indiana. After 30 years my wood deck around the inground pool needs to be replaced. I was thinking just pour concrete and be done with it but I might have to reconsider stamping the concrete after watching this video. The wood plank looks awesome.

Question regarding the finished concrete surface. What happens when you take a high powered pressure washer to it? I know the stamping won’t be harmed, but what about the faux type finish on the surface?

It looked like there was one right along the edge of the board pattern that extended all the way through the fieldstone pattern area as well.
They said in an earlier video straight through the center both directions i believe?

This job turned out super fantastic but I do have a question. On the field stone side, it looks like there is a line running through it. Is that correct or just the way the camera caught it?
Not sure why but this latest video won't provide audio or video under the Firefox browser. The old ones work fine and this current one works with another browser. Finally resolved itself today.
Having a skill in a trade like this team is one you can’t get from a book. Learn by doing will show how it’s done.

Surprised that rebar/mesh was not on chairs. They lift it in first pour but then walk all over it and it seems it would not be in center area of finished slab. Beautiful result!!
Wow it is beautiful, the only way you can tell it's not wood is that it's so perfect. Too bad they couldn't put the saw cuts in by following the out lines of the flag stone, other than that ya got yerself a floor! Great short video, thumbs up.

Great skill by the contactors. I think I would have gone for the same stone effect print on both sections. Strange to have both sides feeling like concrete to walk on but one side looks like wood.
They did a nice job getting the wire & rebar to the middle of the concrete. It doesn't do any good at the bottom...lol. Patio looks really nice.

Question, they lift the wire mesh to center it in the slab and then walk all over it which pushes it back down. Doesn’t it then just lay on the bottom and do little to nothing??
