He was still a key component at very first place regardless of the production schedule. Regarding Go and Vincent's participation, I agree that it was a blessing to have them as emergency saviour considering crazy shits that they did. However I would be completely fine if we got another Miso's episode with a much higher level of polish like episode 16. They are all my favourite artists after all so I'm glad of how the final product turned out like what we've got to see, or even if it wasn't 😊
Mob Psycho 100 easily benefited from adaptation taking it from funny obscure little piece to world known. And oringal Trigun series. Nightgow wasn’t done with the manga and so much of it was freestyled and heavily influence the overall direction of the manga after first few volumes!
I think Sousou no Frieren did really well on the anime. Heightens not just the battle scene where most shounen anime focuses but also expanded on stories, fleshing out scenes that are just 1 panel like the dancing scene or some of the exploring scene. The anime also consistently having high quality of animations throughout the series. Not only the artstyle but the BGM and sound designs are top tier that heightens battle scene and the emotional part of the story too. Trully a masterpiece of an anime.
The first scene where I noticed how good Frieren's animation is was when Fern sits near Stark, lifting her cloak to sit more comfortably, and then does that super cute head movement while telling him "Right? Right??". Immediate top tier.
I also always talk about how the Death Note anime uses colors (you know, the red and blue contrast between Light & L) and music to really take that series to a new level
I love how we got Nanami content in the movie whilst he originally wasn't there. His scene added to his character. I also really liked what they added in some of the last scenes
The anime adaptation for K-ON! was such an upgrade, K-on became massively popular and an iconic slice of life/moe anime. The ending got me emotional too…
Yeah, going to the manga after the anime was disappointing. What they did to make it better was amazing. Nichijou jokes in their animation were godtier too.

I think A-1 Pictures really delivered the humor of the series well and improved it by unique artstyle and effect options, making a lot of space for memes too. Also, THESE scenes from the movie and end of 3rd seasons were something fucking special, which a loved a lot as a fan of manga
One series that comes to mind is JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. The anime is pretty faithful to the manga, but there are some elements that really heighten it.
Same, I immediately thought of the gang torture dance, it's Like, one page of the manga, but in the anime, they made it a 1 minute long musical number (Banger)
_There was also the dodgeball episode, where they made Yor's training in the anime, which wasn't in the manga, as well as making the game feel straight out of a fantasy anime, it was beautiful_
I remember watching that episode of spy family and was enjoying it. But then I red the panel of that same event and was like "where is..EVERYTHING?!?" 😂😂
JoJo was my first anime ever and it showed me how a proper adaptation should be, not only does it enhance the pre-existing material, it adds to it! (And then part 6 got adapted..) Another anime i like is called Tis time for torture princess, the adaptation is very cute.
The best "anime better than manga" easily has to be the Bleach TYBW anime (cour 2 to be specific, but cour 1 also was awesome). The mangaka is literally working on it with the studio to fix the manga's issues, so every single episode has new content and best of all: no censorship like the 2009 anime🎉🎉🎉
Some other great examples are the final Tengen Vs Gyutaro fight. And that one anime original scene where After Asuma died, Shikamaru plays shoji and has a bit of an argument with his Father and Shikaku tells Shikamaru to let it all out
Another example I think of is One Piece with Brook's backstory and the song. Reading it is one thing, watching it and hearing it, it hits like a truck that's going to isekai me to another world.
I remember trying to read the bungou stray dogs manga after watching the anime. H O L Y shit they added so much personality to the city that just wasn't there at least in the early chapters of the manga

You knock that one scene from Naruto here with the art style not being very detailed, but there are still some things I feel the anime did better than the manga. The 1st thing that comes to mind is how the anime gave two other jinchuriki their own filler arcs and actually fleshed them out (The Six Tails host Utakata & Seven Tails host Fuu). Heck, when CC2 was making Storm 3 they looked at the former's arc and basically said "Let's acknowledge that arc actually happened here."
Story in the video format is usually enough of the improvement for the original: anime adds music, soundeffects, flow of movement and overall easier understanding of complex fight/action scenes for the viewer
I've noticed that many Japanese studios prefer to adapt 1:1 from manga to anime (and only the amazing few would deviate/improve). Whereas American studios do not faithfully adapt a comic/work frame to frame. They always put their own interpretation.
I was half crying at the end of the episode of this because all I thought of was how happy anya was and how loid might leave after the mission is complete
Honestly, my favorite is Madara vs the Gaara division in Shippuuden. The screaming and praying and spittle flying was a bit much, but the rest? Amazing. One of the best fight scenes in Naruto. Really justified all the fear of Madara
Aot anime also fixed the ending by tweaking some dialogues and mostly the Eren and Armin talk in the paths. It was mostly same except for Armin's reaction of Eren killing 80% populus.
I think even just being able to add music is amazing for a lot of stories. In Girls Last Tour there’s a scene where Chitto and Yuuri are taking shelter from the rain and listening to the sounds from raindrops hitting cans and helmets. The manga just had a bunch of music notes on the page, and it got the point across, but the anime has a whole song they wrote for that scene and it slaps.
In HxH during the hunter exam they have to wait a long time in a room of the tower because leorio lost his bet. In the 2011 anime this is shown in a very detailed way, featuring wholesome and funny moments whereas in the manga the time in that room is just skipped.

Mashima also used anime to expand the arcs he didn't have time to do like Starry Key or Eclipse Spirits arcs, or even fixing the finale, by adding extra fighting scenes and Acnologia flashback.
Also,the conversation between Ed and Rose is handled much better in the2003 adaptation of Fullmetal Alchemist. The manga inserted some unneeded humor here, but the anime made the tone much more serious and darker
I like that the Solo Leveling anime is introducing and fleshing out more side characters much earlier than they did in the Manwha. If you know everything that's coming, it almost gives the feeling of unsuspecting trains barreling toward each other on a collision course.
In Berserk a huge moment was the total solar eclipse which brought the demons to the human world. In the manga I was expecting at least a full page spread if not two for that iconic moment. It hardly got a quarter page
This is my favorite things and definetly where anime as a medium should be. Like the core of it should still be manga accurate, but at the same time flushing out or having more details and explaining plot hiles from the manga is a godsend. For example Bleach:TYYBW expanding and explaining stuff from the manga is one of the reasons it got its praise.
I loved it when anya went: "well.. it seems like this really is our SPY X FAMILY™" and then the episode ended

I like that the Solo Leveling anime is introducing and fleshing out more side characters much earlier than they did in the Manwha. If you know everything that's coming, it almost gives the feeling of unsuspecting trains barreling toward each other on a collision course.
In Berserk a huge moment was the total solar eclipse which brought the demons to the human world. In the manga I was expecting at least a full page spread if not two for that iconic moment. It hardly got a quarter page
Another good example is “Bocci the rock” … I don’t think I need to explain this one

This is my favorite things and definetly where anime as a medium should be.
Like the core of it should still be manga accurate, but at the same time flushing out or having more details and explaining plot hiles from the manga is a godsend.
For example Bleach:TYYBW expanding and explaining stuff from the manga is one of the reasons it got its praise.
I love anime because of the music and sounds in anime, my pages don't make music
+any well animated shonen fight
First Anime that come to my mind when talking about this are Mob Psycho 100 and Demon Slayer
