Honestly, the lack of threat assessment was scary. Who forces players to draw with a Smothering Tithe in play, and counters an early game tutor when there's a Jodah on the table? Loved the bunnies tho! The bunnies could do absolutely no wrong.
I still wonder who at wizard looked a jodah and said yeah that's good. If jodah only had one of his abilities he would be still be really strong but they gave him both. Anyway fun game to watch.
Jodah does Jodah things. It's fairly funny that you had to defend the deck as you blew away the table, regardless of whether it's an enchantment deck or not. Jodah is still broken no matter how you try to water it down.
I mean the only interaction that these guys run is only ever counterspells it seems. The aura shards would have been good but also like why is the agro deck not swinging at the guy that is getting 9+ treasures a turn with card draw on board?
@Coffinspire if you have to blow up the commander as soon as it's cast to prevent the game from automatically getting out of control there's an issue. As soon as he was cast he got like 10 mana value for free. Yes the tithe helped but that just furthers the issue of having a 5c commander with access to all the best cards you can play.
@@robertglover2676i agree only way to make jodah not broken is to limit the cmc of legendaries to like 3 and they can only have 5 of them in the deck lol 😂 shit goes crazy
I get he is very very strong and fun to play but all games start to look alike. Even when you destroyed the hijinks ;) Looking forward to the next vid 🖖
Yeah, I didn't understand that Arcane Denial on the Zenith either... I mean, what 1 MV creature could be so scary that it justified wasting a counterspell that early? And even if the Zenith shuffled back in, there was always a chance that Zask milled it later on. It looks like Bryce was just flexing, and paid the ultimate price for it.
I've been using your videos as a study tool to get better at magic and they're great! I've learned I seriously underestimate a lot of commanders when building like Cadira.
When I saw the opening hand and the video duration, I was like : "OK, Nekusar will win" and then I saw the plays, the bad timing and the Smothering Tithe hitting the field and thought to myself : "Nevermind, Muddstah is being offered the game" xD
Think the MVP of the Jodah deck this game was just Bryce, those were certainly interesting plays... Would love to see more of Zask though, even if it's just to see what absolutely terrifying 1 cmc drop is that's worth an arcane denial.
Man that Denial on GSZ had to be a spite play. What on earth was so threatening for 1 mana in the golgari deck that it needed to be countered? Unless you know they are going to pop off on some CEDH fun times, new players playing blue, hold your counterspells for mid to late game.
I'm legitimately confused by the Nekusar gameplay. It's so bad it almost feels like it's on purpose? Maybe just not feeling too great that day. The outcome of this game is not a Jodah issue.
Turn 5 jodah. Turn 6 win. You're telling me that's not an issue? Oh let's also ignore the sisay to tutor for whatever and then tuvasa/sythis to keep drawing off the cascades into more enchantments. If it's not a jodah issue it's a power level issue of the table. Jodah must be killed on site at all costs.
Thanks for the game, as usual quality material ! Wouldn't mind to have a look at that Jodah's list ! Thanks in advance and the keep up with the good work.
Actually, it's commander creatures you OWN, so it doesn't work if you steal someone's commander. Anyway, if you have partner or friends forever commanders, the background enchantments work for both. They also work if you turn a noncreature commander into a creature, even if it's the backgrounds themselves.
Jodah is a great card it's kinda obvious but he also isn't worth much $ wise probably because everyone knows it's boring AF. Regardless of how it's built, as a commander it's too much free value.
I really hope you continie to take generic good 5 color commanders and give them janky themes. Ramos mutate and jodah backgrounds have got to be some of my favorite decks of yours. Right up there with mono blue tribal lords with that changeling commander
Honestly it doesn't even matter if you build Jodah in a janky way, he's just the latest in the series of 5Color value engines and is so utterly boring. You would think after printing Golos that Wizards might consider pulling back on making 5Color Commanders so absurdly overpowered, but here we are. Comapre him to Niv-Mizzet Reborn and it's just day and night in power level.
There’s a tier of commanders, chulane, OG urza, etc. That are at the top of the tier, doesn’t matter how a player tries to sell me their “janky” urza or jodah deck i will always match the tier of their commander, i am sorry but if you want to innovative or play janky stuff without raising concern around the table play low tier commanders.
Lower views bc the video was shit honestly. Horrendous decision making all around with an extremely boring and predictable outcome. I think he just wanted to stroke his ego or he just thinks any game he wins people want to see but this game didn’t need to be posted. Nothing interesting happened at all.
Why would you cast Arcane Denial on an insect tribal deck when there’s a Jodah player sitting across from you? Really bad use of resources imo
On a green sun zenith for one as well. Like not even a bomb of a play
I see thier point of card draw...but that was pretty ruthless😅
I’m a little confused why you didn’t go turn 4 hold mana for mana drain, turn 5 forced fruition, turn 6 Nekusar.
Honestly, the lack of threat assessment was scary. Who forces players to draw with a Smothering Tithe in play, and counters an early game tutor when there's a Jodah on the table? Loved the bunnies tho! The bunnies could do absolutely no wrong.
Jodah is like the new Chulane where he's just naturally powerful and you just do some random stuff and you get new cards for free.
The deck plays itself really
I still wonder who at wizard looked a jodah and said yeah that's good. If jodah only had one of his abilities he would be still be really strong but they gave him both. Anyway fun game to watch.
Wanted to see more of Zask and Cadria. I like their designs.

Poorly made decks with zero interaction of course that will happen

A little bit of Jodah fatigue on this side of the internet.
Fair enough!

Agreed, even at my LGS it’s getting obnoxious
Jodah has won almost all the games we played with him.

Consistently tapping the Temple Bell into a Jodah player's Smothering Tithe seemed uhhhhh......not great.
I've been using your videos as a study tool to get better at magic and they're great! I've learned I seriously underestimate a lot of commanders when building like Cadira.
The weirdest nekusar deck and plays. Price of glory in any deck with blue just seems not worth/counterintuitive
When I saw the opening hand and the video duration, I was like : "OK, Nekusar will win" and then I saw the plays, the bad timing and the Smothering Tithe hitting the field and thought to myself : "Nevermind, Muddstah is being offered the game" xD
Gotta say friends not sure if jamming the seizan after a resolved smothering tithe was the right play
Or the temple bell making everyone draws before Nekusar hits the battlefield and after the Smothering title was already on the table
Or Nekusar.
Yeah the nekusar player was just punting the whole game ever since he used the arcane denial.
I mean sure, but... it's a Nekusar deck. I'm not sure what else it could do other than hope other players might draw into answers.
@@Foofoothegoon hot take - you can actually draw, play a land and pass. You don’t have to jam spells just because.
Bunny.deck mulling down to 5 is rough
A bunny pod would be so nice to see. Or just all small animals pod.

I'm loving your Jodah. This was a rare game that I liked every Commander that was played.

ZASK! So happy to see Da Buggy Boi getting some love!
Shadowspear has been an amazing addition in my background Jodah
Jodah is down right broken lol
love the content!
Thanks for the game, as usual quality material !
Wouldn't mind to have a look at that Jodah's list ! Thanks in advance and the keep up with the good work.
Hot-Dang! That was a big-fatty Joda+Kediss win! GG mate!
I'm glad I decided against building jodah myself
I mean Bryce making everyone draw gave u the win.
Man, playing Nekusar in a world where Smothering Tithe exists is pretty rough
Would love that Zask list!!
Jodah rocked it! Love the backgrounds theme !
How the "commander creatures you control" works if you only have one commander?
The wording is like that incase you are running partner commanders
Actually, it's commander creatures you OWN, so it doesn't work if you steal someone's commander.
Anyway, if you have partner or friends forever commanders, the background enchantments work for both. They also work if you turn a noncreature commander into a creature, even if it's the backgrounds themselves.
I thought "commander creatures" meant all the legendary creatures you control or you own, thank you all for answering my question c:
unlucky smothering tithe moment
tuvasa should be getting a lot of counters with all these enchantments
Another example of why Smothering Tithe is broken.
As soon as he played it, I knew he was gonna run away with the game.
Still a cool match though
Where can i see the decklists ?

Jodah had Flying thanks to Cultist of the Absolute. Trust me, I would've blocked if I could have.

Working on it! My office is under renovations so I still don’t have access to my computer.

Jodah looks incredibly unfun to play against. There’s no fair way to build it, even with backgrounds. Terrible card design.
