@@pamsanby8506 I have a lot of sympathy for the Windrush generation but it was not just Caribbeans it was also Asians. You need to stick to facts they did not rebuild the country, Europeans were the first people to come here after WW2. In 1950 5 years after the war there was no more than 20,000 non-whites in the country, mass migration from the commonwealth did not happen until the late 50s then it was heavily restricted in 1971 then resumed again in 1997. Commonwealth immigration, made up largely of economic migrants, rose from 3,000 per year in 1953 to 46,800 in 1956 and 136,400 in 1961.[10] The heavy numbers of migrants resulted in the establishment of a Cabinet committee in June 1950 to find "ways which might be adopted to check the immigration into this country of coloured people from British colonial territories".[10] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modern_immigration_to_the_United_Kingdom

In terms of the windrush generation, you’re right that the U.K. offered jobs and resettlement to thousands of Caribbean people in the mid 1900s. The big problem over the last few years is that our government has been deporting some of these people because they don’t have the correct paperwork or visa etc even though they have lived here for decades. It’s disgraceful.
Yeah, so the big ship most people came on was called Windrush but when everyone arrived they said "you don't need papers, you're members of the commonwealth" but now they're deporting people who came here at 2 or 3 with parents and sending them to Jamaica. It's disgusting. There's a BBC drama about it

Letter from Prime Minister Attlee to an MP about immigration to the UK, 5 July 1948

Commonwealth immigration, made up largely of economic migrants, rose from 3,000 per year in 1953 to 46,800 in 1956 and 136,400 in 1961.[10] The heavy numbers of migrants resulted in the establishment of a Cabinet committee in June 1950 to find "ways which might be adopted to check the immigration into this country of coloured people from British colonial territories".[10]

You got to listen to his blackbox, he was only 16. Amazing talent from the uk, dont sleep on it.
Dave is a U.K. legend. Watch when Dave brought someone called Alex (a fan from the crowd) out at Glastonbury (biggest U.K. festival). This is how much he means to fans & how much fans mean to him
Lyrically one of the greats already & move to come
I second this comment. Its a must watch!
MORE DAVE the people are loving your reactions. Much love
That wretch 32 and Avelino free style that came up recommended at the end of the Dave video is one of the best uk free styles ever. Please give it a listen 🙏
He already did a few days ago
I’m from the U.K. just come across your channel, enjoy the reaction and glad your seeing some of the talent in the U.K.
Well you got that right.....there were so many complaints after he did this....so much respect to Dave for doing this live, it took guts.
WHAT A PERFORMANCE 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Im glad you’re finally reacting to some real Uk talent. We got heat in abundance over here but rarely get the exposure like American artists do. Dave is top tier, soo so much talent. You only just getting started
this rap is literally history. He’s such a talent.
Dave makes me proud to come from London. Also I believe they will study Dave's music in schools and universities one day.
This incredible performance resonated within the UK and I hope has effected change. As a 58 white make living in the north of England of Irish heritage it has changed me. The power of music is strong.
Looks like I’ve found the real life Raymond Holt! Kidding, you’re a very articulate man, I loved the break down of a great song that has such a powerful message
I was thinking the exact same thing😭
Your reaction... 👍🏾 Subscribed! Sending Love from the UK 💜 -x-
i've watched a few similar reactions and your analysis of the artistry here, the projection, set design, orchestral arrangement is IT. you have the analytical eye and soul of a real artist, i'm so obsessed.
Love this reaction vid. What a grounded and measured guy. Stay humble.
This delivered so much more than I expected for a reaction video, subscribed
I’ve just started watching this channel!! respect your genuinely honest opinions 🙌🏿Black UK ✊🏿
Great reaction. Dave is genius.
Dave panic attack live future music festival, incredible
I know you not keen on charlie sloth but akalas fitb are fire hes exceptionally smart and it shows in his music
fire doesnt do them justice. It's like having a phd forced into your brain.
@@dhamp_ ..... LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! 🤣
Akalas FITB 4 is an astounding work. The second part which was published as an illustrated, (poetic) book of reincarnation into both sides of conflict. The tragedy & depth of it had me on my knees.
I bought my son and his global, cultural mix of friends tickets to see him live. He is a teacher for all & my introduction to UK Grime.
Lowkey is another fantastic artist. ‘Obama Nation’ was banned in the USA but a superb piece with an insightful perspective.
Pahahah honestly, who is a fan of Charlie Sloth 🤣 I could abide him if he just stopped pressing buttons for sound effects and ruining the immersion of the profound stories being told on fire in the booth
I could listen to you talk for days sir, so wise ✌
New subsciber right here, Dave is not of my generation, but his lyrics are so deep and laced with his experiences and personal pain. Dave is definitely on my playlist.
if you wouldnt wanna do all the songs off Psychodrama i highly recommend Psycho from it. Crazy bars, flow switch, beat.... its my favorite. oh and congrats on 40k man!
Honestly, Im white and of course I have never experienced the same things my fellow african people have but some of those lyrics hit me very hard... i started tearing up
I LOVE HOW YOU BROKE THIS DOWN SO CALM AND DIRECT AND I LEARNED EVERYTHING YOU SAID AND IT MADE SENSE.NEW SUBSCRIBER .🙏🏾🔥
The Evaluation of Daves performance is 🤣🤣🤣 Fantastic
There's a BBC drama about it
Good song to start on... no presumptions and all that .. see some raw shit first .. loved this
White British guy here. Fantastic reaction, the way you approached the various subjects in this piece was very understanding, balanced and composed. Without a doubt you've got a sub from me.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Reaction My G! Feeling the vibe. More Dave, More UK 😎♥️💛💚✊🏿🇯🇲
Will watch all your dave reactions. Its great having someone new. Look forward to seeing more
you are honestly one of the best people I have seen analyse this song
First time watching your videos. It’s so clear you’re such a smart, articulate and all round good guy
This young man makes me proud to be British ✌🏻🏴
For DAVE you have to react to his blackbox freestyle he was 16 at the time and is still his best freestyle to date IMO
Ive seen 100s of reactions to this song and this is my favourite so far, keep up the good work brother :)
Dave is such an amazing artist. This chokes me up when I hear it.
A great reaction Mr Boyd. If you’ve not already, Google Grenfell Tower London, it is about a fire in a tower block. Heartbreaking!!! He mentioned that before The Windrush Generation.
All and only 21 at the time. He is beyond words
Dave - Psycho
Good reaction, you talk alot of sense.
Your absolutely right about privilegies it's up too ourselves and ourselves only. Your obviously educated
Been looking for someone fresh to watch for reaction videos. I finally found your channel. You say it exactly how I wanna hear it bro 👌
yes, he is the one playing the piano. he goes by the mantra 'piano boy'
Akala fire in the booth 4 is a must listen if you plan to go further down the UK rabbit hole. 1,2 and 3 are great too.
Yeah he plays the piano and thats Fraser T Smith who comes out and takes over he co produced a lot of dates music, nice reaction love from the England 🤛🏾
No he doesn't co produce Dave's music, stop Lying.
Dave has been producing his own music since the age of 15.
The light shines regardless of the colour of skin. .
Panic attack live , picture me live, black box freestyle, sbtv freestyle, Cassius clay, hangman, JKYL+ HYD, psycho, environment, drama, 19Th birthday, how I met my ex, Lesley.
Songs with meanings there’s defo a couple more
Everything Dave has done is good.
The whole album “psychodrama” is messages and it’s deep but amazing as well
dave is kinda in his own genre for me since he’s not drill at all and i wouldn’t say he’s grime as such since they use more kinda jumpy beats
Check out akala fire in the booth. It's amazing.
Also Stormzy superhero 👍
I'm from the UK & this blew my mind the first time I saw it. You're right it got some back lash & I agree with your thoughts on those taking offence.
Great reaction. You have really calming voice too lol
