I'm making the slanted shell blanket by watching your video.
It seems there will be a border on 3 sides. Is there a way to do this on the last side? Love this pattern and you make it so easy to understand. Thank you! Carole Lyon

Hello Amanda, After 70 years of knitting and very little crocheting, I decided it was time to crochet more and improve my limited skill. RUclips is always my “Go To” place for learning and has come up trump once again. I scrolled through a few videos and then zeroed in on “Maisie and Ruth”, because my cat is called Maisie - such a Scottish name, and how delighted I was to realize that like myself, you’re Scottish too. I live in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and I’m delighted to discover you. Your tutorials are wonderful and so easy to follow. I have now crocheted several pattern swatches and feel quite prepared to choose one and make a baby blanket to send to my great, great niece expected in July in Carluke, Lanarkshire.
Please keep on with your tutorials they are so explicit and easy to follow.
    Sarah Kennedy

Hi Sarah, thanks so much for your kind feedback - that's a really nice start to my weekend! 🥰 I hope that you've decided on a project for the new arrival and you're making good progress with it! Maisie (Mary Ann) was the name of my grandmother - as was Ruth. They taught me most of what I know today regarding knitting and crochet, so I decided to name my channel after them 😊 Thanks for following along with me! Wishing you and your family a lovely weekend 💝

What a pretty pattern! I've been trying another of your patterns but had terrible difficulties keeping it square so I gave up! With this one I worked the sample size first and that was fine. Then I started on the full size and all was fine until I realised I had worked the chain three and gone on to the next set without working the double crochets! So, I unpicked it as far back as I needed and put my mistakes right. I did get into a muddle at one of the row ends and found I had more shells than I shu ld but I wasn't in the mood to unpick it and carried on. All is well now and my blanket is growing, surely but slowly. One corner is wonky but I doubt my reborn doll will worry!!Thank you for this beautiful pattern and your so in depth instructions. I'm useless with crochet written patterns so seeing it done is brilliant. Thanks again 😀

Todo mundo está em um estágio diferente de sua jornada de crochê. Você pode ajustar a velocidade na configuração 'velocidade de reprodução'. Se estiver muito lento, você pode acelerar o vídeo - e vice-versa. Espero que isso ajude você! 💞
Everyone is at a different stage of their crochet journey. You can adjust the speed in the 'playback speed' setting. If it is too slow, you can speed up the video - and vice versa. Hope this helps you! 💞

This is how my 9 year old daughter learned to crochet. She is making booties, hats, sweaters. No one can even believe that she is the one making them. She has such a great understanding of crochet that she can now help ME when I get stuck on a project. We LOVE this instruction and your sweet voice is like background music in my house. I am so grateful for this wonderful channel. We share it with many friends. @@MaisieandRuth

@@lisae9508 Thank you for your lovely feedback, Lisa! That's really made my day 🥰 And how wonderful that your daughter is taking the time to help you learn to crochet. What a sweet, thoughtful girl! Wishing you both a great week ahead and happy crocheting! 🧶
