An interesting tidbit about Zinogre that a lot of people forget: You can gather off of this guy's back while it's toppled (and still alive). It's understandable in old games when you have to use Bug Nets and gathering is much slower, but here you can literally run up to its back and just gather a few times very fast and still have time to wail on him a bit. Most of the time you'll get Fulgurbugs or the occasional Shocker, Shocker+ or Deathly Shocker (depending on whether it's Low, High or Master Rank), but when hunting Afflicted Zinogres in Sunbreak, you can actually snag Afflicted Dire Horns, Afflicted Dire Horns+, or Afflicted Dire Hardhorns (depending on the Anomaly Investigation level) on top of the bugs and Shockers! That means you can potentially get up to six Afflicted Dire parts (3 from gathers, 3 from carves) before you even see the Quest Rewards screen!
Oh ffs how did me and my partner not know this... We have 120 something hours in the game and never figured this out! Thank you! (Rise is our first MH game)
What do you mean "finally"? It had a great note set from 3u-GU, it was Iceborne that decided to give it the Alatreon note set. It was literally only in Iceborne that you would be questioned for using the Usurper's Growl line
I feel the opposite. I prefer this version from the original but the vocals do more harm than good for me. They don't fit Zinogre at all for me. Chantings would have worked better.
@@matteolizzio Vocals being only present in the biggest Elder Dragons (for the most part) gave them a different substance to every other monster, as if those monsters, or those events, were of much greater stake and importance, or so is my interpretation of how MH handled vocals in the past. I'm strongly skeptical about vocals being everywhere in a MH game.

I love how the strings in certain sections of this track now almost sound like the crackle of thunder. Maybe its just me but 1:35 stands out cause of that.
Yeah his old roar really fit him well. The new one isnt horrible but it sounds like a generic wolf roar. The old one really added an electric feel to it.

My favourite monster has given me quite some trouble in High Rank. He's pretty easy in his normal state, but once he's charged, I always feel my heart beating out of my chest.
I managed to beat the main game without losing a single mission even Magnamalo, but my fight with Zinogre? That fight I can say without a shadow of a doubt was the first fight where I was getting my dick knocked off and was almost my first loss. Great fight 10/10 did fight again.

I killed a Rathian before i fought Anji 😂. Tobi Kadachi is one of those monsters you can't keep track of though, get good with Tobi before you fight Nargacuga!

Ppl don't understand nowadays how important each and every monster is to the MH universe's civilization. They treat each monster like Gods or forces of Nature, fearing them but also respecting them. That's why this theme has vocals, it exemplifies the feeling the Kamura Village residents have when met with Zinogre the Lone Monarch. It is powerful, almighty, seemingly unbeatable. *Plus if we bring up the fact of Apex Zinogre, then I think we can say that the theme fits it a LITTTTTLE bit too well*
I feel like it’s still missing some intensity in certain points where it becomes super quite at different notes for some reason compared to the original (ie first of the repeating notes at 0:55) but honestly, this is still awesome especially with those guitar rifts

The theme has very strong Wogakki Band vibes now. The electric guitar but then you hear the winds and the vocals. To those who don't know Wogakki Band, look them up, their music good.
In my opinion both are good, i absolutely love the vocals in the rise version but the style of iceborne version conquered me from the start, so i would say that i prefer mostly the iceborne's version. Ps: during the beginning of the theme (0:25 or 0:26) the chorus seems like that they are saying i'm sorry in Japanese (i don't know how to spell it :/)

I was just thinking the village Quests are too easy, then Zinogre appeared and beat my ass.
Village quest are pretty much easy and made for 1 hunter do hub quest and that's stacked for multiplayer

I’m new to the MH series (my first game is Rise). Zinogre is so far my favorite monster. I love its design and the design of its armor set.
Seeing this dog back flipping against me doesn't get more zinogre than that and it is my favorite part about this monster
