    Message from JINJIN5000:
Hey, I helped with the script and researched bunch of things for this
Here's my thought on this whole thing.
Overall, I think it’s cynical to jump to the conclusion that FlaSh went in with intent to swindle his viewers.
While you could argue that there was basic foundation of the plan was set in place before that on FlaSh side, with
    1) building of credibility in crypto knowledge,
    2) recommending crypto to fellow streamers and
    3) opening up on stream about his success in crypto investing financially
To fully jump to the conclusion that it was certain FlaSh went in with his full intent to participate in a conspiracy might be just too big of a jump in conclusion.
Afterall, none of the next steps afterwards that a lot of people are outraged over happened yet and it’s all speculation and “what-if’s” that the public is enraged about. The crypto shut down before launch and before FlaSh directly advertised it at all.
Overall, fans were really upset about the discrepancies and lies that flash presented since his announcement not only deflected his blame, but was found out to be false almost immediately (by other streamers releasing their own excuses)
    1) lied about his involvement recommending crypto to other streamers
    2) downplayed his investment amount
    3) mom blame
If anything, FlaSh’s reputation and pedestal he was put on to be “Mr.StarCraft” along with his extremely poor reaction afterwards where he tried to deflect & downplay his involvement was what fueled the flame the most and disappointed his fanbase.
Overall, the lesson here may be, if it’s too good to be true, it probably isn’t.
Further information if interested (make your decision after reading both sides)
evilfatsh1t & RWLab elaboration on incident afterwards: tl.net/forum/brood-war/574711-flashs-crypto-scandal?page=11#213

RUclips keeps deleting my link comments, so I guess I can't link to script
I tried to remain fairly neutral in this script when I was writing it while still maintaining reasons behind people's outrage and disappointment to flash. Hopefully viewers will come to their own conclusion after watching video.
PS. To people wondering what exactly those figures at 9:11, it's their hardcore fan sub count. Their regular stream viewer count is way too cluttered to look at since it has massive peak during ASL livecast but hardcore fan subscriber count is a good indicator
Bisu viewerwise averages 2-4k on non-ASL days, and largely is down from pre-crypto days by fair decent bit EVEN w/ boost with SC uni
PSS. To those wondering who Park Wan-Gyu is 7:09, he sung 2012 starleague OST (ruclips.net/video/rS2xO2pTv08/видео.html)

@@jinjinBW I can see that it's not a clearcut case, but the point still stands that the involved streamers intended to conceal their investments into the coin.
Not having their investment guaranteed doesnt mean it was not intended to be a pump and dump sceme. i think it's hard to believe that suit buttered up the streamers with expensive gifts only to get their financial investment. if you are after money i think there are far more attractive targets. So even if he didnt ask them to advertise the coin directly, I'd guess his only plausible intention was to get more publicity through them. That or he thought they were a bunch of semi-rich, financially naive people who get scammed easily.
now, i wouldnt say that all or any of the streamers had the clear intention to scam their viewers. But declining or downplaying your involvment when directly asked is a very big alarm bell that something fishy is going on. I struggle to come up with any legit reason to do so. If anything it would be more attractive to your fans if they knew you invested into the coin yourself and are in the same boat together.
Can't speak korean so I have to rely on second hand summaries so I may be far off the mark

The biggest problem I see over and over with streamers and celebrities relating themselves with crypto is their justification and morality of the situation is not the same as the general public. Crypto projects are simply put, greedy people making money off greedy people. I am Korean. It is simply stupid to think that Flash wasn't pulling all these moves with the intent to encourage fans to buy the coin. He went on stream and started bragging about his crypto success, he purposefully mixed in streams with Suit and other streamers where they talked about investing and their finances right around this time, and he clearly roped in other streamers like Bisu with the intent of pumping the coin. And that is all that we know (he didn't admit to any of this at first and outright lied) there are probably more things that went on behind the scenes without a doubt.
Anyone who is happy to endorse Flash after this I don't mind, but people who think that this was all done naively are just plain stupid.

I understand some fans miss him (or his games) and argue that he wasn't really even promoting the crypto but for someone with a sizeable amount of influence, even if he is not 100% intended on scamming the fans, they are still liable for the potential impact. And with Saviour serving as an example of the expectation of the SCBW community and Flash's reluctance to just admit his fault, seems like it might be a while before fans see any games from Flash.
Kudos to the fans in Korea who caught on that its likely another pump and dump scam. Imagine your disappointment when your "God" of SCBW betrays you.

Great recap of the situation. People are way too sensitive and quick to cause drama. Ultimately one is responsible for their own investing choices. Even so, Flash never told the public to invest (unless he made a statement that wasn't covered in this video.) Guy invested in his friend's company and yes, probably made a bad choice to associate with him. The caster calling him worse than Savior is ridiculous...
all in my opinion of course. I was not there.

@@TranscendentMusic1 that isnt how you determine the greatest player. Jaedong's winrate and tournament championship rate is lower than flash. He is by far the best zvz player of all time but Flash is not only the best terran of all time in all 3 matchups but he even proved to be able to beat the best players in the world with random, thats adding 6 more matchups into the mix. So just throwing all the objective mathematic statistics of winrates etc out of the window flash just understands the game more than anyone else in history.
Also your point about imbalance "in that time," the game has not been patched in like 20 years my dude. It is the same balance now as it's always been, and zerg is definitely, objectively the most overpowered race, including in zvt. Just because ZvT was not understood as well back then doesnt mean it was imbalanced against their favor. Light the current best terran player gets absolutely demolished by soulkeys hydra/lurker/defiler play and doesnt even know what to do against it when interviewed. Flash is considered the greatest because he always finds a way, if not strategically with timings, then by pure speed to just outmacro and overwhelm players before they can even get a foothold with whatever op build theyre doing.

    • @yangpaan453
      @yangpaan453 Год назад

@@TranscendentMusic1 Once again dude, the game has not received a balance patch in 2 decades. Its never been more balanced in this or that way, people simply didnt know how to play it. Terrans nowadays simply have no answer to crazy zerg (2 base muta into max carapace ultra) or hydra/lurker/defiler. Light is the best terran in the world and got absolutely steamrolled by it this ASL. Zerg has always been better, the players just never figured it out. Every terran player that streams has been asked how to deal with hydra/lurker/defiler and has not been able to give an answer. And I'd love to see where you pull this 30% winrate from because I dont even remember zerg struggling against terran this hard. Only vs flash because he just simply outplays people no matter what op flavor of the month build theyre using.

    1. BLOCK ALL ADDS!
    2. If adds circumvent this by inserting themselves in to the content, be sure to be hypervigilant to identify this and filter it out!
