To answer some questions: These are 1/8192. These do not transfer to main series.
These are some very fun and very fast hunts, I'd definitely recommend them if you don't mind the fact that they cannot transfer!

RyanO11 you have somewhat of a point, however this game was also entirely focused around battles so they had far fewer things to worry about. Whereas SWSH have many aspects they worked on

Gah, I would’ve missed the Pigeot and Staravia. It’s so subtle in the preview that it’s hard to tell. Even knowing they’d be shiny, I still wondered if I was tripping lol congrats dude

So I have a question, in battle revolution there are 3 gift pokemon you can receive from as mystery gifts for Diamond or Pearl, Surfing volt talk Pikachu, electivire, and magmortor. Now I'm guess they can't be shiny, but wanted to ask sense its 4th gen of those 3 gift pokemon can be shiny?

ah im gladly trying to try this one out too! its was one of my fav games from childhood, though i never had any of the ds mainline games to transfer pokemons to the game, so it sucked sadly

The absolute astonishment at Staravia was killing me LMAO.
Been watching a few of your vids lately and I swear almost all of them have had Pichu in the corner, refusing to shine. Haven't seen a video for it so I assume it's an ongoing hunt still, so good luck! Hope it shines soon, seems like you've been working on it for a while.

I can definitely see why it'd be easy to not know Pidgeot's shiny from its original form if you're not familiar with the Pokemon (especially in older 3D games), but the most distinct part in the normal form is the pink streak in the "hair" changing to orange in the shiny. The golden body doesn't really come across well in this game compared to the main series games unfortunately, looks more like they copy/pasted the normal's body onto the shiny's. With Staravia it's harder imo because it's such a slight brown in contrast to the gray, could be easy to skip over. Also, the orange colored beak turning into yellow for the shiny isn't as noticeable as it is in the main series games.
Yeah, but while using the icon as a reference it was hard to tell, especially since that icon was discolored

I haven’t explored many shiny hunters, but it’s like you really span out where and what you shiny hunt. I mean a game like Battle Revolution where the Pokémon have characteristics like Stadium (I’m just guessing here) feel cool
Yeah I try to hunt in as many unique ways as I can. There are so many ways to shiny hunt and I want to try them all at least once, and I’ve done most of them at this point, but there’s always more :)
what a cool hunt! used to play this game all the time but never saw a shiny. wonder how hunting in sunset colosseum would work because the opponent can use the same Pokemon as the player

No they’re just hard to tell, you can even see that in their summary
The Pidgeot shiny is actually very easy to notice. Compare it against its normal colours and there’s a decent enough amount of differences.
Yeah if you have it side by side any shiny is easy to notice. Without that comparison and with my “shiny reference” being discolored it’s harder to see immediately

wow man that is pretty cool that you can get shiny pokemon in battle revolution. i wish some of the xd and colosseum shinies replaces some of their normal shiny variants like blue gligar and gold scizor

normal pidgeot has pinkish feet/beak and the shiny has yellow feet/beak so you could tell it was shiny just to let you know
I probably would’ve been able to tell more easily had I looked at the normal’s model first. But I didn’t and while using the icon, which was discolored in hindsight, it was hard to tell
I love that I never considered Battle Revolution for shinies and here we are.
There’s a lot of unique ways to get shinies, this is just one of many!

im not sure if id do this hunt if you only get to have them for a battle only in battle revolution, but only you would have the sheer patience to do this 🤣 🤷🏻♂️

No you cannot transfer. But you do keep them
You should in the background look for a diamond pearl platinum munchlax and then soft reset for a shiny one

As someone who's seen Staravia's shiny, I could tell right away that was its shiny form. Pidgeot wasn't hard to see either
Hindsight is 2020, you knew they’d be shiny because of the thumbnail & title so it was easier to keep a keen eye for those two specifically. I’ve seen both of these shinies a fair share of times too but while looking at them from such small icons with a reference that isn’t 100% accurate, it’s a bit harder to tell
