- Jim Jarmusch isn’t just the director and screenwriter for classics of independent cinema, including Stranger Than Paradise and star-studded films like The Dead Don't Die, he’s also a prolific collage artist. At CHF, Jarmusch chats with writer Jonathan Ames (creator of HBO’s Bored to Death and author of You Were Never Really Here, A Man Named Doll, and The Wheel of Doll) about being a dilettante and art in its many forms.

It makes me sad that people forget to like after watching. Thank you, Jim, for bringing poetry, spaces between things, boredom with you, and Italian-Ice and French-Cream Icecream into our lives!!
Always love to hear Jim Jarmusch in interviews no matter the topic.
How many independent film makers today have to thank Jim Jarmush for daring making those poetic movies during his 80-90 period ? This guy did his thing by himself with Claire Denis at the beginning, absolutely convinced he is gifted and ... it worked ! "Only lovers left alive" was an international success. Patterson was a huge success too. The guy opened the road for US independant film makers.
Jim's such an interesting guy and a source of so much inspiration. I'd love him to be a neighbour to meet and chat on a regular basis.
Jim Jarmusch certainty seems like a fantastic person, one of my all-time favourite filmmakers.
He may be my creative hero.
