Gesture-based control of ABB robots

- There have been plenty of experiments with the MYO gesture control armband being used for jogging robot arms, but this is one of the first works with two MYO devices. Each of the two armbands are used only for detecting orientation, thus allowing the calculation of the position of the operator's wrist. One of the armbands is also used for gesture recognition. The control is made possible thanks to ABB's EGM (Externally Guided Motion). Singularities and joint limits are automatically avoided.
Work performed by Kaveh Kamali and Karl Ritchie. Special thanks to NSERC for funding this project and to ABB for lending us the robot. Наука
Great demo! Nice to see the I/O working for the grip/ungrip!
+Steve Simpson Thanks. Actually, we're not using the I/Os. The gripper is connected to the PC via Ethernet.
Awesome! When i was a child i wanted to have Telekinesis. Now with advanced technology it is possible. In fact with Myo we can control spherical robots or more complex robots.
Do you perhaps have a link to a blog post, article, paper? I would like to read more on this as I am attempting something related with the Myo. Thanks
Hello, that's really a nice demo! I'm working with two myos at the same time as well and I was wondering wether the bandwidth of the bluetooth protocol is sufficiently large for such implementation. Is there something special you did for this issue?
What signal did you use in control (acceleromater or gyro?))? And did you use any filter for get signal smoothly?

Hello,
very interesting. It's the code open-source ? Cheers and looking forward for your reply
