Bazz, I was surprised to see the height difference with that new seat. Geez, my DRZ400E Seat Concepts seat was double+ that price. I'm impressed what the 450MT offers with the thought gone into the design. We have something in common, I'm the same height as you. 🤣
@bobdrakeford5731 G'day Bob, yes 30 mm makes a big difference. I'll lower it sometime and see how it feels. I'm pretty impressed with the bike it has lots of great features.
Nice one Bazz, looks like the new seat is much more comfortable for longer trips. I think if you use the lower link you will lower the bike 20mm so it should be more manageable foot down wise. I think I will put 150/70/18 Motoz on mine as it should only increases the height by 7mm compared to the 140/80/18 which increases the height by 14mm. I am still waiting for my raised seat.
If you drop the rear shock to the low position, you may want to lower the front by slipping forks thru the same amount. Otherwise the geometry will be affected and bike will understeer and push the front, especially in the dirt.
Hi Bazz, Love your vids but should pay more attention to lighting. In this vid the subject (Moto) was back lit and quite hard to see. Keep up the good work 👍
@@bazz6670 yes. CFMOtO is doing everything right. Bike seats and screens are the worst design elements of all bikes, especially adv bikes and I have heard good reports re the 450 screen too. As you would expect, I make my own screens from either modifying other screens or fitting appropriate ones. I am currently fitting a superb Aliexpress screen to my 690, same as the one I fitted to my 500. I fitted screens on a Husky Terra, BMW Xchallenge, DRZ400, DR650 as well.
@grayl5514 I've had attempts of making screens too but now at the price I just buy them . It's good you can do your own. The tall screen is pretty good on my bike just gets in the way a little when off road, I also just wind it up and down when needed.
I was wondering what the difference was between the 2 seats.. I think you should lower the bike now. Be mindful though that lowering the bike makes the side stand seem longer and the bike doesn't lean over as much, so you'll have to be careful using t on uneven ground
Hi Bazza, have you lowered the link to the low position? That theoretically should give an 850mm seat height from the deck but being the tall seat will give you a less acute angle to the pegs. Cheers.
im findind the std low seat custom built for my legs amd shit to , but im gunna go a hi seat as well , you sorta get vertigo goin from standing to seated with the low rider cheers
@robinmendozagomez8647 I flushed tube with fresh water then let dry in the sun for two days then you can treat with rust converter let dry and then I used fish oil or cavity wax then sealed holes with polyurethane. Or you can drill holes at bottom of subframe.

Hi David, I will give that a go in another video. Good idea about the lower profile tyres. Seat feels great.

Yes lighting is so hard when working in a little shed, I do try to avoid it. Thanks for watching.
He definitely won’t be in this years golden globe awards, he needs a lighting and sound team if he ever wants to be nominated
@@slakk5093 you guys are so harsh. 😃
@@bazz6670 that was sarcasm 😉 RUclips isn’t about high production values, it’s about information, and you’re doing that well 👍
That seat looks much better. I'll have to have a sit next time we catch up. I did find the standard seat a little off putting.
Yes you will like it better, might even get some bar risers yet. That will put you in a better position if you want to take it for a ride.
Awesome. I had a seat on one and even for me the bike is very low!
Be a great bike for you, Andy. The low seat height was a great point to buy this bike for me.
I modify my seats (DR650, KTM 500/690, Vstrom) and this seat looks excellent. The seating area is relatively flat and wide, which is what you want.
I used to modify my own as well, but it's so great not to have to with this bike for the price.

Try with your riding boots on. Might make it a bit more easier? Some riding boots have a thicker sole.
Yes this is true, thanks.

Hi Steve, I will be lowering bike. It feels good to have a little more leg room. Cheers.
How are you getting parts for this thing? Everywhere I look it says on back order.
Depends a bit on where you live . It did take nearly 4 months from ordering mine to actually get them.
Hey Bazz, how tall are you?
Hi, I'm 180cm.
@@bazz6670oh. I’m a little taller than you 186cm, i always make comparison how it may looks to me.
Can you order the bike with the high seat or do you have to buy a second seat ?
No, I did ask when buying a bike, but you need to buy it as an accessory. Cheers.
hiya Bazz ,could you give us a bit of info on the app upgrade , coudnt find clip , figuring you took it down due to strobing ..cheers

Drz 400, modified to fit. I bought them off ebay.
Would you happen to have the link there by any chance mate?
I ordered my parts through the cfmoto site and then they send order to local dealer.
How do you repair the problem with the water
Hi, if you are referring to subframe I have a video on that. Cheers.
