How's it going man? I'm sure you get more comments than you could possibly read, but if I could say a couple things real quick... I just wanted to thank you for inspiring me to get into this, and posting the words of encouragement in your most recent travel feels video... it reached me at a sort of crossroads in my life, and I feel I needed to hear it. So above all, thank you! Now, as far as your question... Honestly, learning the rules and regs has taken some time, but I have a much greater appreciation for what pilots go through now that I'm part 107 cert. I view one of the biggest challenges going forward to be filming in national parks/ getting state park exemptions... there's so much more that goes into it than I was expecting, and I'm not entirely certain that I'll get a chance to film in the NP's One more quick bit.. I spoke with a DJI rep, and they ARE planning to allow support for the v2 goggles - the newest ones that's came with avata - for the DJI FPV. I wasn't able to get an ETA, but they did confirm that it's in development currently! Take care man, looking forward to the next one!
I'm in the process of getting my part 107 and I know for a fact that after my first couple of gigs with it I am getting into FPV as well. You hooked me months ago. DJI needs to pay you more haha.
Matti..I 100% agree with you 5 tips. But, you did leave 1 important tip out and that's LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Let's be honest, it much more cinematic to see an exotic or less explored location than flying at a park or in your own back-yard. The recent shots you got had that WOW FACTOR because of the location itself. Certainly, all the other factors you mentioned need to be there...but when you bring them all together PLUS include an exotic or interesting location....we'll, that's when you have something special. Just feel it's 1 important factor that really ties everything else together.
brother I want you to know that I started photography 3 years ago watching you, then I entered the world of video... a different madness but I was also able to do it, now I am 100% with your way of doing FPV... and I only have words of gratitude for everything I have learned through your simplicity and professionalism. Greetings from Miami FL
Got caught up in the drone shots and forgot to note down the last 3 points 🤭🤭 that is how good you are in flying cinematic fpv 👌💪 TOO GOOD you are Matti 👏👍🤑
I gotta say I’ve e been waiting to get an FPV for exactly this reason since last year, I finally get one coming (be here Friday) and cinematic FPV is already blowing up. Lol it’s ok but I’m always right behind the curve 😂. As always your shots look great! Keep ‘em coming!!
Thanks for this great content, you are one of the first persons who actually address topic of Cinematic FPV, I do really like to watch acro and tricks with a FPV but Im not really into it, I do love flying my FPV smoothly through small and complex places to get a better perspective and capture footage. Thanks for this video.
As somebody who is starting to explore and practice FPV, this is a pretty cool video. I have no aspirations of becoming an FPV racing pilot, but I love the idea of being able to introduce that element to some of my videos.
@@Joe-ul5sl I downloaded a program on my computer, Steam, and I was able to inside that download an FPV simulator. I hooked up a controller via USB and have practiced that way. It helps with learning the basics without breaking a real drone.
Matti, thanks for this video. I'm just getting into this as well and these are a MUST follow tips when starting in this as a career or side hustle. Missed the fpv videos, glad you dropped one today!
You have a new subscriber!, really enjoyed this video!! It is what i am working towards alsobut i have alot further to go. I totally agree that fpv is amazing, addicting and a ton of fun
Love the video! I got into FPV arround the same time you did, never looked back since! Totally love it! Funny you mentioned freestyle fpv vs. cinematic fpv pilots. most of my fpv buddies don't get why I dont want crazy tricks in my shots, but just smooth flying 😎
great introand tips into cini fpv. your getting some fantastic shots, that camera is really clean, im wondering that camera it is? the default dji or something custom?
What I do when wanting to look for lines, I use my Mini 2 to check out the area since the battery life on that drone is nuts, around almost 30min if you're being generous to the drone.
great shots and good tips. Do you feel like it was a must for you to get into full manual mode or most of your shots could have been done without? Looks to me one or two of your dives couldn't be done with normal mode and motion controller type of remote. I'm not sure I want to go into this complexity and invest into another controller. Seems most is feasible in normal mode with motion controller (avata 2) to make some beautiful cinematic shots and not getting into crazy yet FPV sport type of thing :-)
Great tips Matti! Any advice for getting the best performance out of the Avata’s camera? I’ve found that it’s mediocre dynamic range in high contrast scenes is it’s biggest drawback
I love flying FPV, been doing it over two years, fully licensed but I'm always concern of the rules and regulations while I see others in my city diving on buildings and stuff haha should I just SEND IT ? :D
@@mattih it's an Avata, but I bought it used 😬 first time I couldnt sync the controller but it just needed an update but now I'm too close to the airport and I guess it doesnt let me overwrite it the same way the other drones do :/
Bought an Avata on January and finally made my first public FPV video a couple of weeks ago. I used the 180 degree rule but will try faster shutter for next video, thanks for the tip. Even just flying around "boring places" can look interesting blazing through them with an FPV and I want to make a full tour of the place in a single take and keep length on short format :) ruclips.net/video/uepBHwnseCI/видео.html

all i want is a FPV Drone with the mavic 3 camera or a new mavic 3 without latency in a cinewhoop housing.... i do not need crazy moves i only need to get close to things i do not need to fly fast nothing

Getting use to it😂

Bahaha that too 😂 but honestly you can make any place look cool with an fpv

Which drone were you using in the shots from Iceland? Also do you recommend the DJI FPV or the baby one? (Forgot the name)
So incredibly Good 👍
Nice tips dude

Was hoping there would be more tutorial talk in here on how to actually fly better. Would love to see that in a future video

Finding the middle between fun and cinematic 😉
It’s not zero w/ your digital VTX 🤓
First
I think the term "Cinematic" is severely overused in youtube.
Wash your own spoon.
I think you have things little confused, Freestyle is all the flips and tricks not FPV
Yea sure but traditionally that’s all FPV has really been.
