Home Free is a rabbit hole you will truly enjoy going down. Austin Brown is the lead in this song. Rob Lundquist is the second tenor (the guy with the glasses), Adam Chance is the baritone (he goes by Chance) as Adam Rupp is the beatboxer (who's in a class by himself), and Tim Foust the bass (who also is in a class by himself). And since it is the Christmas season, you should do their cover of; Grandma got run over by a Reindeer.
You could also do their "Drum Solo" (Do the one with the most views). It really gives you an idea of some of things (Adam) Rupp is capable of (including Didgeridoo). BTW Adam (Chance) was actually doing the Didgeridoo here although he is primarily their Baritone (although he does Bass when Tim goes up to Tenor) Don't let Tim Foust (Bass) who also has an incredible Tenor Voice fool you. He has a well developed since of humor although it runs to the dry side. Austin Brown (Lead here) can go incredibly high for a male but he is down in his lower register for this song. This ain't a rabbit hole, it's a canyon....
@@generationgapreacts O Holy Night is another great song they perform for Christmas... Also it has the original starter of the band, Chris Rupp who left in 2016 to pursue other avenues and taken in his place is baritone Adam Chance... @@bryanhuff2010 Hi Bryan, that’s a lot of great information. We are learning so much about HF. It’s very exciting. I saw in the comments people using “home fries”, but I didn’t know what it meant. Thank you for letting us know. We consider ourselves home fries now. It’s an honor. We will definitely react to more Home Free. 😃
Welcome to the greatest A capella group on the planet with the richest harmonies by far. They lean mostly country, but they do all different genres with their covers and they have a lot of original material as well, since the lead singer and the bass singer are both established songwriters. They also have several Christmas albums and they are amazing. They have nearly 200 videos and a half a billion views on RUclips of their collective body of work. Each member is a lead singer in their own right and the beatboxer is literally a world class human percussionist. If you plan to react to any Christmas songs this season, these are their three best: O Holy Night, Mary Did You Know, and the amazing Do You Hear What I Hear, and one of their originals: Snow Globe, like a doo wop holiday love song. Looking forward to seeing you two down the HF rabbit hole!
There are Pentaholics and Home Fries, I consider myself. A Penta Fry, my preference for each group changes as each one releases a song/video. Their rendition of the Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young song Helplessly Hoping, truly showcases their strong harmonies.
They can sing any genre. R&B "End of the Road" from Boyz2Men, "Listen to the Music" from Doobie Bros. They can do comedy "Butts Remix" and well lets just say you have an awesome musical journey ahead of you. We'll be with you the entire way. Enjoy!
Home Fries all agree, you need to work up to one their best covers Mayday (originally done by Cam) by listening to their earlier stuff such as Folsom Prison, Butts Medley, When a Man loves a Woman and the one from the Sing Off, I'm forgetting the title right now as well as some of Austins stuff on his own page. You truly need to hear their earlier stuff to understand how they handle Mayday, where several of the guys switch up
Welcome to Home Free. This was the first time watching the two of you react. No, it’s Chance sounding like a jaw harp….&, he admits it’s not easy 😵💫‼️ Tim, the bass is a beast…with a 5+ Octave Range ‼️ He’s insane with his range….& their harmonies are Always on key 🎵🎶‼️ Pure ear & eye candy 😵💫🙃‼️
The start and the end of the song...the instrument that Adam Chance is duplicating is called the "Jaw Harp" It's a Southern US instrument. Sounds very similar to the dijiri-do .
About the guys in the group, Tim Foust is the bass, Glasses and beard is Rob Lundquist, Lead tenor is Austin Brown, The beatboxer is Adam Rupp and Adam Chance is the guys at the end doing the jaw harp. They cover every genre but mainly a country Acapella.
The last guy we see at the end was doing the sound of (not a digeridoo) but a Jaw harp. The beatboxer was doing the drums and the harmonica and several other sounds. They do rock, pop, hymns and even opera. The 1st high tenor (hat and beard) is Austin, The 2nd singer (beard and glasses) is Rob, The bass is Tim, The beatboxer is Adam Rupp and the other fellow is Adam Chance, who goes by Chance so as not to have 2 Adams. Check out some of their Christmas song videos.
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole! They are the best acapella group around. They do some many genres that they do. Check out In The Blood, End of The Road cover from Boyz II Men, Hill Billy Bone, Sold and so many other. Yes, all the sounds are made by their mouths only! Love your reactions!
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole 😊 we Home Fries love watching new reactors discover “our” boys. Subscribing for more Home Free of course and for the positive energy you two have.
Welcome to the world of Home Free! yes, they are all acapella. The beat boxer is second to none. The base (Tim) can sing five octaves. Their harmony is amazing.
Welcome to the amazing world of Home Free. Call themselves a country vocal band. They are the whole package. They do anything and everything. Please do American Pie. They are down to earth guys who have a fun side as well as a serious side.
Always love to see folks hearing Home Free for the first time! A friendly hint.... use headphones... you will hear their background harmonies better.... and even more layers! Welcome to Home Free.... home of Tim Foust, Our Dragon Lord!
Home Free is a national treasure. Since you recently reacted to "American Pie" you should know that, last year, for the fiftieth anniversary of that song, Don McClean got together with Home Free to do a version with them. They also collaborated with The Oak Ridge Boys on "Elvira", and, one for the Christmas season, with Kenny Rogers on "Go Where I Send Thee". All superb.
Welcome to the world of Home Free, with us Home Fries here to support Home Free reactions !!! You have a great journey ahead of you, as they have more than 200 music videos on RUclips also more from fans at their concerts & their behind the scenes videos too. Helpful suggestion....use headphones/earbuds, as you'll miss a lot of the intricacies of their harmonies. American Pie would be a great 2nd reaction video, but they also have some awesome Christmas videos too. With American Pie you'll get to hear them all (except the beatboxer) share the lead....and yes Don McLean sings with them on the 50th anniversary of his classic & iconic song.
Tim Foust is Home Free's base singer, linten to Misty Mountain with Peter Hollins and Tim Foust, you will really hear how low he can sing at the end of the song!🤠
Keep in mind Tim Foust (bass) hits an octave lower after his solo, just freakin' remarkable! He actually has an incredible 5 octave range, crazy good!!!
You have entered a musical universe where wonder, hilarity and delight await around every corner. Welcome aboard, fasten your seatbelts, and prepare for sensory overload in several dimensions. Great reaction!

Great reaction in discovering HF!!! Welcome to Home Fry land!!! I echo since it is the holidays to begin with their covers of more traditional songs and then progress to the funnier side! No one and I mean no one performs a traditional Christmas carol better than HF!!! They sound like an entire choir!!! Keep the tissues handy. Thanks for sharing!
Welcome to one of the three top vocal groups. The other two to check out are Pentatonix and VoicePlay. If you like bass singers I also suggest checking out Geoff Castellucci.
Love Home Free you are in for a treat. They sing so many great songs...When a man loves a woman lead singer Austin Brown. Also Brothers in Arms. Very moving.... They are all terrific!!! They play shows all over the United States...Great reaction ladies!!
I see you recently saw Don McLean's "American Pie". I would suggest the collaboration Home Free did with Don. It gives each of the members a few moments in the spotlight. Also, each of these gentlemen have amazing solo projects and collaborations with other artists including members of Voiceplay and Pentatonix.
The bass singer is Tim Foust and that isn"t even low for him. You should listen to Home Free sing Ring of fire with Avi Caplin from Pentatonix as a guest singer. This truely will blow your mind. Love both of your comments and look forward to more of your reaction videos.
You will not be disappointed with any video you select! Home Free has an amazing range of different styles of music that they can sing! Go ahead explore!
The 'didgeridoo' sound you're hearing is indeed created vocally by the use of throat singing, though it's meant to sound like a jaw harp rather than a didgeridoo.
You really need to listen to them with earbuds or headphones to get the full effect. They are AMAZING! I’ve seen them live twice. The bass and beatboxing is SO much better with earbuds / earphones!!
Chance in the back left that you didn't really hear singing was doing the jaw harp. What you said sounded like a digereedoo was the jaw harp that's 2 pieces of metal with rubber bands. And you're right he was doing something similar to Mongolian throat singing. Their arrangement of Do You Hear What I Hear is amazing.
Yup. 100% vocals. Adam Rupp, their vocal percussionist is unbelievably talented. And the combination of their voices is fabulous. The didgeridoo sound was actually the jaw harp, produced by one of the boys. They do everything from country to R & B to classic rock and everything in between, even opera. Really. I would suggest that you listen with headphones because there is so much going on in their arrangements. There are something in the neighborhood of 130 more videos. Start anywhere. You can't go wrong.
Oh the rabbit hole Home Free and Voiceplay will give you...enjoy! Don't sleep on their Christmas music, Home Free's, Do you hear what I hear, is AMAZING!
Dang! I need to listen to more of them! I had heard them in one other video. I heard a didgeridoo in person one time at a Yanni concert. More please! Definite ear pleasure!
Glad you discovered Home Free! Everything they do is great! Check out “When a man loves a women”, “End of the road” to start you on your journey! Actually, anything you select will make you happy. Enjoy!!♥️👍
Home Free does all genres of music and recently Austin and Rob did Opera - a cover of Nessun Dorma. But since it is the Christmas Season their cover of Do you Hear What I hear is just amazing!!!
It's fun to see new reactions to Home Free and this is the one to start the journey Home Free has over 1.5 million followers just on RUclips not to mention other platforms I think y'all will enjoy the ride. Welcome
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole 🕳. They're amazing. They do all genres from country to R&B , 70s , opera. Their Christmas songs are the Bomb, O'Holy Night, Silent Night, Mary Did You Know just a few suggestions. Can't wait to hear more reactions from you both great job
Great reaction ladies, welcome to the home fry family. This group will leave you with a smile every time. They are such a feelgood band and love their fans. Serious songs or just their wacky sense of humour will have you grinning from ear to ear. Scottish Home fry here. 👍🏴
Well, this will blow your minds: Rob and Austin (glasses and hat) recently released a video of themselves singing "Nessun Dorma." Yes, opera. Have a listen. And Tim (deep voice) Foust does covers with Peter Hollens. Definitely check out their version of "Misty Mountains." Then, since you love deep voices, try Geoff Castellucci singing "16 tons."
Now is a great time to be covering their Christmas music, but a great song to follow up with is their version of Huey Lewis's Working for a Living - you get to hear Chance, the singer not featured in this video, and it has their names on screen.
I'm so happy for you beautiful ladies, finally finding the absolute best a capella group of their kind. Totally looking forward to more of your reactions. This brought such a big smile to my face, watching you 2 finding what all of us "home fries" have been raving about for years. Glad you're both with us. Enjoy
Hey there! Welcome to the world of Home Free. This is just the very beginning of this incredible rabbit hole. Fans of Home Free are called "Home Fries" and are loyal, kind, informed, and so fun! Welcome! Man of Constant Sorrow is a quite typical "first song" to listen to. Have fun reading comments and choosing the next song of theirs to react to - but please stay away from their cover of "Mayday" until you get more familiar with Tim, Austin, Chance, Rob and Adam, their ranges, typical parts they sing, and generally the types of songs Home Free covers and produces. It's so awesome to have new reaction channels discover Home Free, and start this journey. You won't ever be disappointed with the quality music these men produce. Ciao!!
This was the first song by Home Free I ever saw. I felt the same way. I couldnt believe the talent I was hearing. Then I found out they had been together for years. There are hundreds of songs in their catalog, all good. Pick out your favorites and enjoy. They just released an album of original music and are releasing new singles every few weeks. If you want to hear everyone's voice, try Understand, a new one written by their bass, Tim Foust.
New sub for Home Free! You have just found the best group in my opinion. The didgeridoo sound was done by Adam Chance who goes by Chance he was in the back behind the guy with glasses and his name is Rob Lundquist and the bass singer is Tim Foust and he has a 5+ octave range an unbelievable talent and Adam Rupp is the amazing beatboxer he is also the co founder of the group. He is a walking instrument. and of course the guy that took lead in this song is the amazing Austin Broun, This group can do any genre. If you want your minds blown you need to check out their cover of "When A Man Loves A Woman" I promise you won't regret it. They have so many great songs the rabbit hole is deep and us Home Fries (Home Free fans) will go down that rabbit hole with you.
I've followed Home free since they first appeared on the TV show "Sing Off" an Acapella competition and won. I had the pleasure of seeing them live also. They sound just as good. The song "Mayday" is a must.
Yes, there are no instruments. That's Adam Rupp - beatboxer/percussionist extraordinaire playing the "nomonica". The mouth or jaw harp sound was made by Adam "Chance" - baritone. These guys are so talented and diverse. They cover all genres and have quite a few originals also. Their blend/harmonies are unmatched. I'd suggest "When a Man Loves a Woman", "Take Me Home Country Roads", "End of the Road", "Can't Stop the Feeling", and/or "In the Blood" to start. Loved your reaction! Btw, fans of Home Free are called "home fries" ------> 🍟
Welcome to Home Free. They all have a 3-5 octave range, they all beat box, They have a lot if fun (funny) stuff (remixes mashups etc.), they cover all genres, including opera if that's your thing, more Christian and Christmas music than you can shake a stick at. Their fan base (called Home Fries) is huge and extremely loyal. If you do frequent reactions to them, you'll see your subscriber count jump. You just got me. I suggest The Butts Medley (aka remix) next.
Every couple months I check for new HF reaction videos, especially first-timers. This was the best one I've seen in a while. I have my favorites, but you really can't go wrong with any of their songs. :)
You have only touched the tip of Home Free ladies. Go down that rabbit whole. You will not be disappointed. The best acapella band out there. Go listen to "How Great Thou Are" Beautiful!!!!!
Home Free is an incredible group. They won the 4th season of the NBC show the Sing Off so yes, they’re a cappella and there are no instruments. The beatboxer is crazy good. He was doing drums, harmonica and other various sounds. Chance, the last one in the video, was doing the mouth harp sound which sounds like a didgeridoo, although the beatboxer can do that sound too. They all can beatbox to a degree. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low and then sing up with the tenors. They are country but sing all genres of music. Try some of their Christmas music, Mary, Did you Know, O Holy Night, Angels We Have Heard on High. Good reactions!
While Pentatonix won the 3rd season of the Sing-Off TV show, Home Free won the 4th season. Avi Kaplan, the original bass for Pentatonix, collaborated with Home Free on a video of Ring of Fire - highly recommended! Adam Rupp (the beatboxer) was making the "nomonica" imitation (it's so good!), Adam Chance (the baritone) was the one making the digeridoo/mouth harp sound throughout the song. While everyone admires Tim Foust (the bass) when he sings his verse from the basement, immediately after he finishes his verse he drops his vocals into the sub-basement just to give you a hint of how low he can go.
They do many genres but mostly in the broader country area. You can't go wrong with home free in my opinion. Lots of Christmas songs as well if you want to get any in the season. They have a number of purely funny ones as well. Christmas/hymn - Do you hear what I hear, Cold Hard Cash for Christmas, Amazing Grace, How great thou art (many others) Others - In The Blood, Some Girls Do, Hillbilly Bone, End of The Road Quite a few originals as well -
LOL y'all will love this rabbit hole! Remember don't do Mayday till you learn each of what The Guys do and their names! We Home Fries will enjoy your reaction when you finally do watch Mayday! They are amazing! 😊. Also you really need headphones to hear everything when listening to HF!

Home Free is a rabbit hole you will truly enjoy going down. Austin Brown is the lead in this song.
Even better "ear pleasure" with headphones
The bass singer is Tim Foust and that isn"t even low for him. You should listen to Home Free sing Ring of fire with Avi Caplin from Pentatonix as a guest singer. This truely will blow your mind. Love both of your comments and look forward to more of your reaction videos.
It’s Ear-Candy. Enough leads to Ear-gasm…😊
Fantastic, you named the genre Bluegrass, when so many say this is Country music!
Home Free - American Pie ft. Don McLean (Official Music Video) 😍
Hi Arno, We will definitely check that song out. We’re excited to discover more from Home Free! 😃
@@generationgapreacts thx
Oh the rabbit hole Home Free and Voiceplay will give you...enjoy! Don't sleep on their Christmas music, Home Free's, Do you hear what I hear, is AMAZING!
I certainly hope you react to many other Home Free performances! If you do, you're in for a real treat!
Another really good accpella group is Pentatonix.
Their songs sound very beautiful
Nice reaction girls . I have a Christmas classic I think you will love by Home Free. Oh holy night . It really shows off their harmonies.
Dang! I need to listen to more of them! I had heard them in one other video. I heard a didgeridoo in person one time at a Yanni concert. More please! Definite ear pleasure!
Thank you Eric! Yes, yes, definitely more Home Free for us. 😊❤️😃
@@generationgapreacts 👍👍
Adam Rupp is their beat-boxer. To hear his invisible digeridoo listen to his solo performance here on RUclips. Amazing talent.
Enjoy
They cover different genres
Best Acapella group out there.
Ciao!!
I declare this to be truth: HOME FREE and PENTATONIX are both the best acapella group in the world! VOICEPLAY is next in 10th place!
Highly recommend you check out their version of "when a man loves a woman" and their sea shanties melody
Unbelievable Talent😮
Yes, harmonies are what makes an a cappella group work and do great.
WELCOME! New (and pretty) HOME FRIES always welcome. Enjoy! Duke
One of the guys does all the musical sound effects, you'll glimpse him every so often; especially when he does that warbling sound.
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. Enjoy the ride. They are so talented.
I've followed Home free since they first appeared on the TV show "Sing Off" an Acapella competition and won. I had the pleasure of seeing them live also. They sound just as good. The song "Mayday" is a must.
BUT ….. you should familiarize yourselves with the by doing several other songs BEFORE “Mayday” - that intensifies the reaction to it. 😎
Thank you Daniel!
With a Home Free reaction I am there every time and got tickets for the Mar. 1st show in Ft. Smith
Hi Rick, you’re so lucky! Enjoy!!! 😊
@@generationgapreacts Ty been waiting a long time for them to even be close
You have only touched the tip of Home Free ladies. Go down that rabbit whole. You will not be disappointed. The best acapella band out there. Go listen to "How Great Thou Are" Beautiful!!!!!
Welcome to Home Free…. Enjoy going down this rabbit hole
Great reaction ladies!!! My favorites are Ring of Fire and End of the Road..they're just excellent no matter what they're singing!
Christmas/hymn - Do you hear what I hear, Cold Hard Cash for Christmas, Amazing Grace, How great thou art (many others)
Others - In The Blood, Some Girls Do, Hillbilly Bone, End of The Road
Quite a few originals as well -
Thank you MN! We are definitely going to check out more of their songs, especially Christmas since it’s right around the corner. 😊
LOL y'all will love this rabbit hole! Remember don't do Mayday till you learn each of what The Guys do and their names! We Home Fries will enjoy your reaction when you finally do watch Mayday! They are amazing! 😊. Also you really need headphones to hear everything when listening to HF!
Y’all need to check out the two tenors -Rob and Austin on Austin Brown’s channel singing opera. The song is Nessun Dorma.
To hear Austin the lead tenor really show his unreal voice try
'When A Man Loves A Woman'! Welcome to the rabbit hole from us Home Fries!
Love these guys! An other Acapella band is Pentatonix who have earned Grammy Awards for their music. These new Acapella bands are a rabbit hole I think y'all are going to enjoy!
"When A Man Loves A Woman" would be a good one for your next listen which is a cover of a Percy Sledge song and a Patsy Cline hit "Crazy".
Their version of, "When a man loves a woman" absolutely blew me away! It's now the holiday season: "OH holy night" as well.
