Home Free have done music with their friends, other Acapella group, Voiceplay. Home Free competed against other groups including Voiceplay in a televised show called Sing Off.
The trees you see are "Live Oaks" . They never lose all their leaves like oaks up north do, new leaves just push the old ones off and the tree stays green all year. They live for hundreds of years. The filming location was Northern Alabama, near where one of their band members lives. Thanks for your review!
LOL --- Yep, it's damn good!!! --- That being said, Girl you ain't ready to see 'em LIVE yet (j/k). Yes, these are good, well -- fantastic is more like it! Buuttttttttt, LIVE OMGosh, even better. Had to see it for myself ....... and I'll catch 'em again!!!! Hey, you know somethin'? You could react to like 2 or more HF vids a week and you'd still have many on yer plate after a year of reactions to 'em!!!!! What HF does .... has changed everything about music (at least for me). They're special and rare!!!! Be Safe
The place they recorded the video was none other than Baldwin County Alabama. It sits on the Eastern side of Mobile Bay and is home to Gulf shores which is a big Beach tourist destination. Obviously on the other side of that bay is Mobile County Alabama. Which is my neck of the woods.
Home Free. With this song they've turned me into a man of constant listening. I love your calmness, your voice, and your lovely smiles. Interesting contrast to the music you seem to hear usually.
A couple of their videos that are especially excellent are _'Crosby, Stills & Nash - Helplessly Hoping (Home Free Cover)'_ and _'Home Free - Unchained Melody'._ Of course, you can't go wrong by simply choosing anything from their channel at random. It's all that good.
I see another Home Fry being born 😊. After about 8 or 10 reactions you'll then need to listen to there cover of "Mayday". When you do you'll know why you needed to wait. 😉😁🌹
Home Free defies categorization because they are so unique and versatile. They have a habit of politely knocking on the door of your soul and once you let them in, you never want them to leave. Yes. We Home Fries love these crazy talented guys. Best part is, they are decent, nice guys who respect and appreciate their fans and there's no egos.
Home Free is the best--period. It's so easy to forget they are completely acapella and that they make all "instrumental" sounds themselves. In this song they are making a distinct southern (bluegrass) presentation--it definitely fits the lyrics of the song. Chance doing the jaw harp sound really sets the stage for this song's story, which Austin's twang fits phenomenally. Tim's bass line completely grounds the harmonies and Adam's voice percussion simply cannot be beat. This performance highlights a lot of Home Free's strengths although they also handle ANY other genre just as amazingly❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ Some of my personal HF favorites are "Working for a Living", "Land of the Free", "Elvira" (with the Oak Ridge Boys), "Undivided"--and be sure to catch Adam Rupp's VP perfection in "Ain't Goin' Down 'Til the Sun Comes Up" (which is not on YT--it's on their official Facebook page).
Great review....... Playing off your skin art, I think you might enjoy the Sea Shanty Medley, which is a very fun medley. They conclude the lyrics with singing all the titles to the different shanty's. All the songs listed below by others are great too. Thank you for reviewing another Home Free song today.
After listening a few times, they change our head and body movements each time they focus of a different member. Robs part picks up the dombeedoobeedoo head sway slides right into Adam beat prominence head bounce then to a longer deeper head sway with the deep bass voice then back to that gritty twang swag head bop. It never gets old.
You don't have to be a country fan to enjoy perfection in vocals and on spot harmonies! They have 13 albums and over 120 videos... no ego's and every member has their chance @ lead! Give them a look I promise you want be sorry.....! I just liked and subbed because of your Home Free reaction....do more Home Free if you can! LOVED YOUR reaction! Peace!
You do have to see them live. We saw Pentatonix a few years back and were going to see Home Free but covid hit and messed everything up...Hope to catch them soon!
40 seconds in and they already have you giggling I love them and you! Thank you for broadening your horizons to Home Free you picked the right group baby!!
They do all kinds of music not just country, 😍 love your reaction ♥️ They have a lot funny stuff too 😁 I'll let the other Home 🏡 Fries 🍟 suggest songs, they're better at it. Lol
Interestingly, I was looking to see your other reactions and noticed that you have not reacted to two of my favorite acapella performances. Home Free doing Ring of Fire featuring Avi from Pentatonix, and Oogie Boogie Song from Voiceplay. Enjoy!
Home Free is an a cappella group consisting of 5 men. Austin is lead singer, next is Rob who sounds similar, then there's Adam Rupp the beat-boxer/sound effects man, then there's Tim Foust the bass singer(a 5 octave singer(G1-G5)) and last is Adam Chance who was doing the background Didgeridoo sound in it.. and is the last man seen...Look at their lips to see what their doing...it helps with these a cappella groups....
Alright Tauri. You're a fantastic reactor. And your current reactions of Home Free have given you a taste of their amazing musicianship. But now I'd recommend venturing into some of their fun-loving, comedic stuff. "The Butts Remix/Medley" might be my favorite in this category. It's clever and funny while still being a showcase of their extraordinary talents. Another one that falls into this genre would be their "Sea Shanty Medley". Whatever you choose to do, I hope you'll continue to enjoy your journey.
A short list of country/rock intersections 1) Diamonds and Rust (Judas Priest) 2) Me and Bobby McGee (Janis Joplin) 3) Southern Man (Neil Young) 4) Sweet Home Alabama (Lynard Skynard) with a nod to honky-tonk piano 5) Something to Talk About (Bonnie Raitt) These are old references but intentionally so. The roots of "modern" blues, "modern" country and "modern" rock are the same roots.
Love Home Free. I have been to 7 live concerts and they even more amazing live. When Tim hits the low bass notes he makes your chair and your body vibrate. The first time I experienced it I was shocked. They are so amazing.
I have seen them live 3 times and each time it is something special. Unbelievable, really great show. Brothers in arms highlights Tim’s bass, while Mayday highlights the other end of Tim’s range.
Congrats on deciding to join us Home Fry's on this rabbit hole of Home Free! I can applicate the love for rock as I also love Rock! Something VERY special about Home Free, 5 guys and no ego's! One song may faver bass, another tenor...etc etc but their vocals are always point on! 13 albums and over 120 videos, would love to see more reactions of your journey with Group...you won't be sorry! :)
they are phenominal .....next please react to their latest, THE DRIVER....the harmonies are incredible. There are many youtube clips on RUclips from their live concerts......you'll be fascinated by them
I can't believe you haven't heard this yet! When they do this live, Adam Chance (who does the jaw's harp) only does it for about 10 to seconds, and they "loop" it for the rest of the song because he says it hurts his voice to do it any longer. If you like Austin's little "yodel" there.....give a listen to their "All About that Bass". It shows up really nicely there. Lots of non-country reactors have become Home Fries. We'd love to have you.
I recommend watching the original of All About That Bass before watching theirs. It's a total parody, but funny on it's own and the gag reel is hilarious!
These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney.
"Butts Medley" touches most genera and of course it's about the booty..lol, but( no pun intended) they mash up 6-7 songs and do it in such a tasteful way and the transition between song is flawless! You'll laugh your Butt off (pun intended)! A must watch!
We picked up their album "The Sounds of Lockdown" when we saw them live here in Ottawa. One of my sons has been singing "Sunday Best" (Surfaces cover) for a couple of weeks now. It's one of the electro-pop songs they cover. The other in sure of is Wake Me Up by Avicii. The collaboration with Peter Hollens on the U2 classic, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For is amazing.
Love to see that smile ! These guys are SO good, and live is a blast (twice now for me) ! You should check out one of these covers next: 'In the Blood', 'Brothers in Arms' or 'Helplessly Hoping'. See ya ! (Edit: Many call the harmonica that Adam does a 'no-monica' LOL)
This song was originally written in 1913. It has been covered by several artists, including Bob Dylan. Home Free does it best,in my opinion. You mentioned the trees;aren’t they beautiful? This was filmed at a fairly famous spot in Alabama, but it seems Home Free always has a wonderful backdrop.
If you'd like to hear them in a concert setting, do a search on the group. There are a lot of videos of their concerts ranging in quality from awful to pretty good. They blend as well live as they do in production.
The boys are so good. Chance (in back on the left) was doing the mouth harp. Adam, the beatboxer, was doing the harmonica and drums and other noises. They can all sing and they sing all genres of music not just country. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range so he can sing up with the tenors and down in the depths. Super talented guys. Try Helplessly Hoping, I Can’t Outrun You, Die a Happy Man. Good reaction Tauri
Check out Home Free’s cover of Garth Brook’s song, “Ain’t Goin’ Down ‘Til the Sun Comes Up” for a real treat of Adam Rupp’s “no-monica” harmonica! He has a solo of it in that song! I’m sure you will love it! Also, their covers of “Amazed” and “When a Man Loves a Woman” and “ Bless the Broken Road”. ALL fantastic!
As a "Home Fry" I recommend "Brothers In Arms" > HF's cover is so powerful and moving ( Plus the fact that there is a TON of bass in this wonderful rendition )
Great reaction ! You mentioned a rabbit hole and you are correct. Home Free is a rabbit hole so big that you can drive a truck down it. Helplessly Hoping and Brothers in Arms are two good songs. Won't Go Down Until the Sun Comes Up shows extensive use of the no-monica. It is not on youtube but is on the group's Facebook page. On another note, have you listened to Visions of Atlantis? They are a symphonic metal band and their latest is Master the Hurricane.
Love watching you and your giddyness on bass voice play got a new song enemy from imagine dragons and Geoff solo well kinda cald sunshine it's awesome too
You're the best, Tauri. Remember what I said on your first video? "I guess you'll have to do a Home Free Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday". LMAO
To see their depth I'd go with One Man Band, When a Man Loves Woman (Even though I'm not a fan of the song they do it so well), Go Rest High on that Mountain (The Video and bring tissues), Woman, Amen/Female (So underrated), Cover Me Up (With a beautiful surprise at the end), God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood and the US AF Band, Country Road... There's so many. Your reactions are beautiful as are you. Thank you for sharing.
Oh, and if you like old classic doo wap songs, Austin and Tim have done some amazing solos and the group has done lovely ones like Crazy, Dreamer, Unchained Melody... You'll find yourself laughing, crying and falling in love all over again.
And done during the Covid lock downs. His girlfriend was filming while he sang so Austin got heavy into the lovey dovey eyes. Other fun Covid videos they did are Quarantine and Meet in the Middle.
These guy's are awesome. Everything they do gives me a happy feeling 😁 They have so much fun so u have to check out "All About That Bass" , Country Fried Pop and Butts Medley/Remix. You'll see a whole different side of their talents and personalities. Just do me a BIG favor....Do Not Listen to "Mayday" until you listen to alot more of their music. You won't regret it. Oh and if your not offended by listening to "Christmas" music please check out "Do You Hear What I Hear?" The setting for this is Awesome! Thanks for your reactions and I like your appreciation for all genres of music💓 #Homefries
You must listen to Chris Stapleton singing his hit "Cold" for a next level. He identifies as country but his voice cannot be put in just one category. He is a one generational talent. Do yourself a favor.
I think you are going to appreciate Helplessly Hoping.
I highly recommend Brothers In Arms for both Chance and Tim.
The drum noise is what should be blowing people away...too many just assume it's an actual drum. It's mind-blowing to me.
Oh my goodness ‼️ Their cover called "Woman amen/ female " I think you will love 💘 ❤ awesome reaction ‼️
These men are highly gifted and talented agreed .
No instrument these guys are great
They are really fun live. They say it's not a concert, but rather a party.
Their humor is sometimes overlooked, but they are funny as hell. 😎👌
Your reaction was priceless. 😎
Home Free have done music with their friends, other Acapella group, Voiceplay. Home Free competed against other groups including Voiceplay in a televised show called Sing Off.
I'm alright is hilarious! Love Rob's gopher dance!
My favorite part of this when Adam, the beatboxer plays the NO-Monica lol
What's the significance of the Cutter on your left shoulder ? it looks amazing.
It's the Black Pearl from Pirates of the Caribbean, it's all finished now with colour too.. so looks even better!
@@TauriReacts I'll try to catch it. TYVM
You're down the Home Free rabbit hole. I have been to one of their live concerts. It was GREAT! Thank you for your reactions.
Adam has a video somewhere on RUclips where he explains how he makes the harmonica sound.
The trees you see are "Live Oaks" . They never lose all their leaves like oaks up north do, new leaves just push the old ones off and the tree stays green all year. They live for hundreds of years.

A must listen to Home Free Adam Rupp's drum solo

That look on your face when Tim, the bass, drops an octave deeper after his solo, lol.

I notice your tattoo of a ship ,it's gorgeous you should listen to Home Frees (Sea Shanty Melody) Love your reactions, keep on keepin on.
OK, now you need to check out Peter Hollens and Tim Foust covering Misty Mountain from, The Hobbit!
Fulsom Prison Blues or Brothers in Arms would be great as the next cover from them.
We home fries love your reaction.
You're right, listening to them does do something to you. It just makes you happy - easiest way to sum it up. Thanks Tauri. I loved it! ♥️🍟
Oh they are great live I've seen them twice and will see them every time they come to Nashville when I can. It sounds just as good live!!!

Side note lol austin brow can do it as well they do a duel in a live version
Check out thier version of " mayday" they change thier roles as singers.. just to get a sample of the groups ranges
Not yet! She has to build up to Mayday. It's soooo good.
Dear guess what Geoff castelluchi just dropped a new solo song Elvis cover way down awesome your great as always

What I wouldn't do to be able to hit that "O" note.
I only have two children....................I have a sneaking suspicion that If I had a voice as deep as Tim Faust I would likely have a few more!

React to "The Driver".... Is wonderful!
Ain't going down till the sun comes up.. can be found on home frees facebook page. Hope she looks for it. I want a reaction also!
Definitely, it's much faster paced.
It's okay for reactors to do on YT.
Garth's Label blocked HF from posting it themselves.
He has a pretty good “handmonica” solo in “Working for a Living” also.
Молодчина ты, Таури, и реакция у тебя классная, такая живая!
Here's a suggestion for your HomeFree dive: Fulsom Prison Blues. Trust me, you'll enjoy it.
As a "Home Fry" I recommend "Brothers In Arms" > HF's cover is so powerful and moving ( Plus the fact that there is a TON of bass in this wonderful rendition )
And five-part harmonies with no beatboxing. Another great one in that category is “Helplessly Hoping.”
Check out Home Free's butts melody mix, it's hilarious 😂
everytime i see this video all i can think is, i need them to be in a western considering how well they pulled off the outfits for this video.
Home FREE😮
Great reaction ! You mentioned a rabbit hole and you are correct. Home Free is a rabbit hole so big that you can drive a truck down it.
Helplessly Hoping and Brothers in Arms are two good songs. Won't Go Down Until the Sun Comes Up shows extensive use of the no-monica. It is not on youtube but is on the group's Facebook page.
On another note, have you listened to Visions of Atlantis? They are a symphonic metal band and their latest is Master the Hurricane.
Love watching you and your giddyness on bass voice play got a new song enemy from imagine dragons and Geoff solo well kinda cald sunshine it's awesome too
Voiceplay's Dragonborn is also fantastic.
Check out their cover of "Mayday", you will be blown away!

There's so many. Your reactions are beautiful as are you. Thank you for sharing.
Oh, and if you like old classic doo wap songs, Austin and Tim have done some amazing solos and the group has done lovely ones like Crazy, Dreamer, Unchained Melody... You'll find yourself laughing, crying and falling in love all over again.
wait till you see Adam do the harmonica live :)
I know it is actually a Christmas song but if you want to hear Austin really killing it you should check out "O Holy Night" by Home Free.
Love this group. CK out Ring of Fire.
This is more Americana or folk music. First published about 1913, I believe but older than that. 😎😎😎😎
Try their cover of Blue Ain't Your Color.
If you haven't try "When a Man Loves a Woman" Crazy, crazy good.
And done during the Covid lock downs. His girlfriend was filming while he sang so Austin got heavy into the lovey dovey eyes. Other fun Covid videos they did are Quarantine and Meet in the Middle.
