The concept of "playing" (versus producing something great) is new to me. Thank you for inspiring me to take more risks and to play with painting.

What a charming concertina book! I love that you decided to tell a story of just what happened (with zoom class being full), and that little dd got to be in it. A little familiar with IFS, very familiar with Inner Family/Inner Child work myself. Thank you for sharing your work 💛

I really enjoy your gentle voice and choices of music always. Now I want to try and duplicate today your flower painting and the drawing...both right up my alley! Thanks so much.❤
When I do still life, I tend to work relatively small and put my drawing board or canvas on my lap, leaning on the table holds the still life for the initial drawing, and then work flat when I paint. I do, however primarily paint with watercolor. I tend to use a deeper table and fewer subjects per picture.
Hi Denise, perhaps if you tried some relaxed line work over your concertina work it might pop though a little more. As always, thank you for sharing your art processes.
Enjoyed. I feel your pain. ;) I think working with pen (quick sketching) to then add watercolor outside the lines here and there might be an interesting composition and lead to a place where no man has gone before. TY for sharing!!!
I love the pen drawing with no color, but I also really love the color and playfulness of the painting in your sketch book. Both are beautiful, just in different ways 😊
I can’t get my Windsor newton gouache to reconstitute. Maybe I let them dry out too much but I have not had success with them. Their water color is one of my favorites though.
