I’m actually wearing my SBGE275! I’ve worn it every day since I got it over a week ago, and I usually wear a different watch every day. I was going to buy a Fifty Fathoms, but when I saw this in person it was better in every way. Slightly smaller, with a more dynamic bezel and dial with all the hand finishing on the front of the watch instead of the back. I do just about every water sport except scuba diving so a bidirectional bezel wasn’t a deal breaker. I couldn’t be happier.
Just picked this up yesterday and I can say that it’s phenomenal! The watch itself is such a beauty. I have a small wrist and honestly, the 44mm diameter still fits perfectly on my wrist. On paper, it says 44mm, however, you should try it on your wrist first as it still fits perfectly for people with small wrists. An incredible watch! Underrated GMT watch which is hand finished at such an attractive price!
I picked up this watch on Tuesday after waiting for it to come in over the last couple of months. It is amazing and I love the lume. The only watch I have that matches this and my Snowflake for fit and finish is my Patek Annual Calendar. I love my other watches, but honestly, for several times more, and in some case 10x more, the others just can't compare to GS.
It's def a beautiful piece. I tried it on wrist this past weekend and decided it wasn't for me! Congrats to all of you who managed to get one! It's niceeeeeen
The accuracy of this movement is amazing. I am getting around +2 seconds or less in one month! I have a Seiko SNR051 spring drive and that is about +8 seconds a month! I been looking at this piece for a flaw and the only think I can find is that the movement is not perfectly centered. Look at the second hand as it goes around the seconds markers. You will see at certain points that it touches the second markers some up to 3/4 and sometimes you will see it barely touching so its not perfect. For a month even with a 10x loupe looking at the entire watch this is the only flaw I can find. The finishing is superb and the quality is amazing. Looks like hand assembled and hand polish/finishing. I just wished it was limited to 100 pcs 🤣
I have this watch and love "most" of the design elements. A few things I would change having lived with the design since June.....the gmt hand should be blue to match the 24h bezel, which would also make it easier to read at a glance. The black looks very similar in a lot of lights to the other hands and it takes me a few seconds to work out what's going on. The power reserve (which I thought I hated) is actually more useful than I anticipated, and I like having it....although I would still place it on the back. I would normally choose to position a crown at 3, but I don't mind having it sit at 4....however the watch doesn't sound as pleasing as most of my other watches when being wound....kinda sounds like it's in pain lol. Screwing the crown back in is also more challenging than I would like, but not a big issue. I had hoped for the 5day power reserve too, but I guess they can't give me everything in one watch, otherwise I wouldn't need to buy another one ;) My commentary sounds negative, that's not the case just a reflection of my experiences.....if you asked me if I would buy the watch again....yes it's lovely to look at, has a beautiful dial, a mesmerising bezel, insanely accurate movement, a gmt function (the most useful complication for me) and a besel!
Can we talk about that 'chill penguin' background music! Ya'll at Little Treasury are a classy bunch! I own the SBGJ237 and absolutely love it - now I'll have to revisit the SBGE275!
It’s my first time visiting this site and I am very impressed with the depth of detail given on this GS. I purchased this watch at the beginning of April ( my 1st GS ) , frankly I was waiting for a GS spring drive with this style of dial, that it comes with a two toned Sapphire bezel and is a GMT was just a bonus! I was worried that the stated 44mm diameter would be too large for my 6.5 wrist, given the case design and lugs, it’s a excellent fit. It might be slightly thicker than I like, but All the other features outweigh any downside. I’m traveling to Europe this summer and planning on wearing this watch, it’s beautiful , very accurate but flys under the radar…which I like.
I really like this, but I wish they could have framed the date window. It’s such a small thing but really puts me off some of the GS pieces. I prefer the SBGJ237 Hi Beat with the navy blue dial. If only they would stick the Spring Drive movement in that piece with no power reserve it would be perfect. Oh, and give it a display back.
I can't stand the date framing. It makes the date stick out vs letting it kinda disappear when you don't need it. Omega's AT's have gone back and forth with having it and not, and it's just a no brainer which one I'd want. I know to some it looks "unfinished" or like they cheaped out, but here it's an obvious design decision not a cost saver.
Its a beautiful timepiece and one of my favorite combination of colors (blue-white) but too large for most individuals including me. I wish GS would've made it in between 39-41mm case size which is probably ideal imho.
Had a chance to see and try the SBGE275. I have one major issue. The date does not seem to be 100% centered? Especially when seeing through a loupe the date number nearly touches the upper side of the date window (the one towards the 3 o'clock position compared to the one at the 5 o'clock ). Can this be verified by owners? Is this normal? Why would GS do such? Thanks.
@@topshelfdustin3300 If you look at classic GMT watches like the 36-mm Glycine Airman, the 35-mm Zodiac Aerospace, or the 40-mm Rolex GMT, etc., they are all smaller in diameter & thickness but I do not think they are too small. They were all legible and functioned perfectly for their intended purpose. In some instances I can understand the need to increase case size (e.g., to improve water resistance rating in the case of a divers watch, or to accommodate a larger movement) but in most cases, the increased case diameter is only to follow the current trend, and is unnecessary. It is not pretty at all when you see a large watch with a small movement, where a movement spacer has to be used. Even worse when they put a plastic movement spacer.
@@blethook true, but here we're talking about an amazing GS dial. Having a bit more dial space is nice, it's really their showcase so having it at 42 mm due to the bezel seems like a good compromise. If this were a rolex, make it smaller by all means, there's not much to see on those dials.
@@Littletreasury its an amazing timepiece, truly magnificent. I haven't seen a gmt this good.... I am calling it Mr. Freeze. And thanks for the awesome review.
Power reserve on the dial, date at 4 o''clock. Sh*t design imo. I agree with Lux Man "Just a mash up of what’s already been done". Let's make it "limited" for the extra bucks. I'm so over this crap by now, have your watches, I'm done with collecting.

Congrats, I have the SBGH295. Grand Seiko is awesome!
how do you compare this to sbgj239? is the sbgj239 good? i am interested in that model
my dilemma,too.
this or 50fathoms.
the latter is flatter.

@@Littletreasury let us hope...and I'll take it with a silver birch, or lake suwa dial
SBGE275 "Chill Penguin!" Love it! The gold medallion on the movement is what blew me away here.

Beautiful, with a great bezel. Wearing my Tissot perpetual calendar with a Barton perforated leather band. Nice dressy casual wear for a weekend.

It's beautiful. I just wished it was 40mm, 2mm less thick and with the power reserve indicator on the back.

Beautiful and would be in perfection if it had blued Hands and Indizes, like the Omega Aqua Terra silver dial and blue/white hands and Indizes.
Hi Chris. Squale 1521 Onda on wrist today just 'cause. Anyway, very tempted by this piece, as I have the SBGJ237 and it would be a great sibling.
GS. Watch of my dream.
We can help make your dream come true when you are ready!
Haha, for some reason I thought this was the SBGJ275G, but once I saw the back, I knew something was off... :P
What its already sold out? I knew it was a banger when i first saw it, but when i can afford it it will cost way more probably :(
Perfect!!!
Now that Seiko has a affordable GMT movement, they can put it in mid tier models like the Sumo or Turtle.

Hi, all watches are adjusted a little bit differently. Maybe the one that you had was defective --- do you notice the alignment issue in the video?
A very nice watch, but it's too big for my liking. I don't know why GS can't make these in 40-mm...
Well at 40 with that bezel it would be a touch small. But 42? That would be a nice balanced middle ground
It wears very well for a 44mm, but the thickness is the thing to concern about imo.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Do you have a personal favorite Grand Seiko model?
My current favorite is the Night Birch slgh019. Thanks for asking!
On GS’s website it states limited edition of 1500 pieces, is that true?
Hi, and yes which was mentioned around 6:16 in the video
@@Littletreasury Sweet, I guess they’re sold out now?
42.5?? I thought it was 44mm... I remember it was mentioned in their website... Am i missing something?
They must be measuring the bezel, you can see the measurements in the video and how I'm doing it.

Beautiful watch but I’m just not a fan of GS bracelets.
This watch should be called "Spare Parts"
Too big. Too thick. 41mm and 13-14mm thickness or bust. Its not a sport watch. It’s a strange bird
Just a mash up of what’s already been done.
