Money was wasted because the pond needs to be grazing by the forest stock but they are excluded by fencing. It is a type of pond which dries in the summer and fills in the winter. One day Forestry England will complete the restoration.
Good video. I visited the pond last summer and saw a very large stag wading around in it.
