Did you know Eli just had his first son? If that little bundle of joy has lungs like his father, they won't be getting much sleep in the house for a while!

If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend sticking with the pirate theme and checking out Voiceplay's cover of Hoist the Colours. It’s absolutely epic.

Voiceplay did a mini (short) of Wellerman which already has way over a million views. Worth checking out? Usually reactors do 2-3 minis at a time. Peaches (Jack Black cover), Timewarp and I'm too sexy for my shirt are current favourites 😉.

I strongly believe that, as you guys like the funny, creative side of #voiceplay, you should watch their hilarious, yet amazing version of "In the hall of the Mountain King", an orchestral piece from Edvard Grieg's "Peer Gynt" that they turned into a fantastic, incredibly well performed, storytelling masterpiece without a single word 😅. Oh, and let it go 'til the very end... Listen to the voices in the outro, I find them very funny 😅.
    Nice reaction, loved it. 🙂
    See you next time!

Since you’re watching sailors, check out Hoist the Colours from Pirates of the Caribbean 3. It also features Jose. (It’s a Spanish name and it is pronounced with the accent on the second syllable: Ho-SAY ).
The drunken sailor is someone that used to sing with Voiceplay before they were VoicePlay along time ago. His name is Matthew Buckner or “Bucky”. He was the choreographer for Geoff’s Monster Mash and can be seen in the shorts or minis that they did : Candy Crush and 500 Miles.
If you read the credits before you do the reaction you’ll know who is in the production. They always list all the credits including their guest artists.

So many folks were surprised by this, then absolutely thrilled by the vocal intricacies behind the theatrical fun. When you listen to it without the video the arrangement is tops.

I love how silly they went with this one. It's so fun to watch and pleasing to listen to. If you guys haven't seen their other pirate stuff, I'd highly recommend it. "Hoist the Colours" is freaking epic and they did a short of the Wellerman that's really good too. ❤

Jose Rosario Jr is the guy standing. He's been in a couple of videos with them.... "My Mother Told Me" and "Hoist The Colours".
The Drunken Sailor is Matt "Bucky" Buckner. He was a member waaaaaaay back when they were 4:2:Five for a short time. Now he does voice overs for Disney and is a gamer. Bucky can be seen in 2 of Voiceplay shorts... "Candy Crush Escapade" and " I'm Gonna Go (500 Miles)". He stops by every now and then to say hi.

The drunken sailor Matthew Buckner aka Bucky was once a VP member wayyyy back, before they started doing videos. Bucky is also the one responsible for the choreography of the monsters in Geoffs version of Monster Mash.
He has also done a couple of minis with VP, notably their take of I've gona walk 500 miles.
The VoicePlay minis are fun to explore. Those reactors who do, usually bunch 3 of them together in the same video reaction.
Only trouble with the minis iscthat they make you long for a full number of the song.
Highly recommend VP cover of Peaches from the Super Mario film.
That one should include reacting to the original by Jack Black first, and then watch Geoff channel his inner Jack Black.
More Eli rock god? Carry On My Wayward Son, Kansas or Kiss, cover of Prince.

Jose (hoe-say) also guests in on Hoist the Colors. The drunken sailor is a good friend who helps with choreography (see Geoff’s Monster Mash).
Christmas is almost here. Check out #voiceplay doing the Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don’t Be Late)…LOTS of lyrical Easter eggs in that one. Also, Geoff’s version of Mele Kalikimaka.
    ❤ the reaction.

Geoff's line about We're gonna carve his heart out (with a wooden spoon0 was done in tribute to Alan Rickman's Robin Hood. Eli of course had to use his best British accent. Buckey our Drunken Sailor was in VoicePlay (then 4:2:Five) for a faily short time. He's still in the Orlando area and works for Disney as a character voice. He did one of VoicePlay's mini (Gonna walk 500 miles) and he did the choreography in Geoff's Monster Mash.

The line "I'm gonna carve his heart out" comes from the late Alan Rickman in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.

Voiceplay released their Christmas video on their patreon Friday. It is hilarious.
Geoff Castelucci posted Sunday morning that his Christmas video is almost ready to be released on his patreon.
So they both should be coming to RUclips soon.

I can only recommend their Patreon. I´ve seen a lot of their Behind The Scened (BTS) their. I have a massive amount of respect for this guys. The "drunken sailor" is, so I understood, the brother-in-law of Geoff. He played also the "Santa" in Oogie Boogie Song.
Cheers to you and your. I wish you pleasant Holy Days and s good new year.

Drunken sailors were sometimes hosed-down with bilge water as a form of punishment. The sailor would simply be placed, face up, by the scuppers (where the water would drain off the deck immediately) and given a thorough soaking. It was far less dangerous than keel-hauling and much less painful than flogging, although there was possibly a risk of drowning, either on the bilge water or the sailor's own vomit. Perhaps we should consider it to be an early form of waterboarding.

'Not today, Stanley. Not today' LOL love the reaction fella's!! A little history - it wasn't good to be the 'drunken sailor' because your fellow sailors didn't appreciate lagabouts and a lot of their 'pranks' on the passed out drunk man were not so nice in reality - imagine being put in a longboat to sober up and it's pitching and swaying in the tide...yeah ....lol - and the 'Put Him In Bed With The Captain's Daughter' is a reference to capital punishment when the drunken sod would be whipped with a cat of nine tails or something similar
