A prime example of what Geoff calls VoicePlay 'special brand of dumb'.
Silly? Yes
Hilarious? Yes
Musically outstanding? YES.
Carve his heart out with a wooden spoon. Out-of-tune singing at the end. There were lots of laughs in the BTS video. Watching them put together the set wall and put all the things together. Being a patron is worth all the pennies. Geoff dropped a new mini this morning. Paul Bunyan from Disney.
Goofy VP is just the best vp. The videos just put them at the top for me for acapella groups
The rework of this classic shanty is quite a fun piece. Geoff did a great job with the additional words and choreography, probably aided by Bucky.
I love this so much!! They are so silly and this is just sooo much fun!! Bucky is from back in the old days of 4:2:five. Geoff arraigned this one. This is just as they call it, their special kind of dumb, and I love it!!! lmao Great reaction!! Clara the doll is creepy and needs to be thrown overboard! lol I laughed so damn hard with this one.
Throw Annebelle 2.0 off the ship! LOL

This was so much fun! Enjoyed it, Sarge. But yes, the doll needs to be tidily stowed away in Davy Jones' locker.
Wonderful reaction really enjoyed it. That was an Alan Rickman reference with the "carve (cut) his heart out" while holding a spoon from Robin Hood (kinda hoping that's an easter egg, but you never know with these guys). They turn out one or two videos a month plus minis.
The drunken sailor is Bucky who used to be in the group back when VoicePlay was 4:2:Five. Recently he's done a couple of minis with VP. He's currently working as a voice actor at Disney. I thought this one was crazy fun. I always do VoicePlay or Geoff's versions first, they go to my reactors.
This one was a hoot, and after their version of Creep, we needed a laugh!

I love "their brand of crazy" because it's still "their brand of talent" to go along with it. It's awesome to see them be themselves and have fun. Layne's percussion is killer and Cesar twerking made me laugh. So, SO good! And, yeah, that creepy doll gotta go.
Must be their most fun video to date. They really show off their fun side in this one. That drum sound from Layne is very like the Irish bodhran (llook it uo) so is Celtic. The carce his heart out with a spoon must surely be a reference to the line in Robin Hood : Prince of thieves, spiken by Alan Rickman. They don't miss a trick. :) The song originated, I believe, in or around New Zealand, among the sailors on the whaling ships. Or so I've read. Think Wellerman. They put out one a month, as does Geoff. And of course Layne is also doing Pattycake Productions. They are very busy people.
I agree this is great BUT....Boy Bands in 5 Minutes still holds top spot for me in my heart for their humor. 😉

Bucky in the middle was really the only true drunk. The other fellas were pretty sober to me.They'd have to be, to razz Bucky the way they did.
