    Every time I see a lowered Jazz on youtube, I start considering to lower mine... thanks for saving my time and €. I prefer comfort also

      @Jazda  Год назад +1

      Yep. Maybe some of the other brands are less harsh (I doubt it) but it just ruins the ride.

    This is exactly what I plan on doing also, but I ordered a set of Swift springs and hopefully the result will be better and I can finish with new wheels as well. Great video though, thanks for sharing, cheers!

      Just got my shirt and it's great, thanks Jazda!
      I also just mounted my Swift springs and I'm happy to report I didn't ruin my car. You can tell it's been lowered but the ride feels great, well, about as great as the stock ride is for a Honda Fit/Jazz anyway. I'm super stoked and can't wait for new wheels. Give the Swift Sports a chance Jazda, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!

      I was thinking of buying some RS*R down springs, but decided to keep it stock. I'll be puttimg in a short shifter in the new year so will create a video for that!

    For anyone thinking of lowering springs for the fit just get the RSR sus downs...(NOT SUPER DOWNS)..Rides almost identical to stock with perfect even 1'' drop....I had teins on previous yaris and harsh ride...I researched the hell out of springs for the fit and the concensous was the sus downs gave best ride comfort with nice level drop...also people using the rsr sus downs on other makes/models of cars had same experience....If you do choose another dont go with ones that lower more then 1''...this is the perfect drop to eleviate the gap....the lower the drop the harsher the ride.

      @Jazda  10 месяцев назад

      I had RSR springs on my Honda Beat and they were perfect. Is there a supplier in Europe? I had to get the ones for the Beat from Japan

    • @stinkletoes8285
      @stinkletoes8285 10 месяцев назад

      They are manufactured in Japan so I would imagine so...I got mine from within Canada....they were not drop shipped or imported...the shop had them instock@@Jazda

    I had the same issue when i lowered my GE8 with RSR springs and new KYB shocks, it just thumped and bumped everywhere. Went back to stock springs and the ride is dramatically improved. Not sure whats causing it, but certainly wasn't right for a daily driver.

    • @Jazda
      @Jazda  Год назад

      Agreed

    • @stinkletoes8285
      @stinkletoes8285 10 месяцев назад +2

      Sus downs or super downs?...If super downs then sounds like you forgot to cut bump stops...This means you are basically hitting/bottoming out on the bump stop on bumps..I just had RSR sus downs installed...rides like stock with perfect even drop..zero noises...you installed/reinstalled something wrong...or you have a defective damper/s

    • @Tasteslikepetrol
      @Tasteslikepetrol 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@stinkletoes8285 Sus downs, All fitted correctly as per the workshop manual, and brand new dampers, top mounts etc. Issue went away completely once stock springs were refitted. Congrats, i guess.

      @@mechanicAL77072all systems A OK, I just mounted my Swifts today and the only problems were created by me and not the actual parts themselves. These springs ride great for the generally terrible roads here in Puerto Rico. If you wanna lower a Fit/Jazz for not a huge outlay, go with the Swifts🤘😎

    Interesting you didn't like the H&R's. On the mk7 Fiesta ST, they are the ones to avoid too. As you said, just too firm absolutely everywhere.

    • @Jazda
      @Jazda  Год назад

      Interesting. They seem to have a good reputation generally, so maybe it's more for their full coilover kits?

    • @kevcahill89

      @@Jazda I actually have 30mm H&R's on my 106 GTI and they're fine. They are with Bilstein B8's so not the same comparison.

      Try eibach, afaik they are soft but drop are not significant.

    Lucky son of a gun has rear rotor brakes instead of drum also if you would’ve put the proper front struts in instead old stock ones you would’ve gotten much better results probshouldve changed shocks too

    • @Jazda
      @Jazda  Год назад +1

      Changed the shocks for new OEM ones or aftermarket? Car is fairly low mileage so I can't see new OEM shocks making a big difference.
