I took the CPC test this morning with nothing but this video by way of preparation (my training provider cancelled my day's instruction when an emergency came up). I watched the video about a dozen times in the build up to the test and passed on the day with a mark of 95%! Don't forget to take a tick sheet along for the walk around check - it also helps as a prompt in other areas; reminding you of parts of the vehicle you may forget when talking about checks for contraband.This is an excellent video which, along with the Dolly knot video, covered everything that I had to face in the test itself. At last I can drive lorries! No more training(bar 35hr periodic training through next 5yr) or tests...Its been exhausting but worth it!

Well done Tomasz. 100% is good...and it's only easy if you have prepared sufficiently. It is quite a straight forward exam I admit, but the examiners will NOT give it to you. You need to know your onions! Good luck!

And we also have some great lads with us today. EP was my dad's company and he set it up back in 1979. He sadly passed away in 2013 and his legacy is to have created a fantastic company that has stood the test of time...and continues to grow.

passed my module 4 yesterday with 100% ! and done within 15 minutes, studied this video and pretty much had it down word for word, examiner sayed and i quote '' you clearly studied '' got a walk round for 30 mins beforehand aswell with an instructor who reinforced everything plus added minor tweaks, thanks again !
when checking for immigrants ect you need to check inside of the wing mirrors incase they got tampered with/ also getting in the vehicle for the first time you need to make sure theres enough fuel and aware of the height. very minor things. test was a joy to do and alot less complicated than you originally think, however its good preparing for all questions even tho its only 1 out of a handfull in each section

I've got my mod 4 next week. My instructor has sent me some Q & A stuff on all potential sections covered, I have 2 hours with my instructor before the test to go over it, then on to Wrexham for the actual test. Sean, your video is sterling mate. It's so much easier to see a practical explanation put up against the written questions. I feel more confident about passing after watching this. Top man.

Passed with 100%, be thorough and show them you know your stuff, tell them what you are doing all the time, my lorry didn't have a tail gate so i told her i would get in the back, and told her what i would do, don't just open the back like the guy did who was after me, lost him points and helped him fail, don't worry tho he also said he would use a restraining bar for the steel sheets :-/ if you do your research its hard to fail, good luck guys and girls.
Hi Paul. Thanks very much for sharing this video. The Module 4 (once you know the questions) is quite straight forward. You are right about the problem with the Module 2. The language barrier is the problem here. If your English is not up to standard you cannot read or understand the questions.Really like your postings BTW. Really interesting

great video mate. Passed my module 4 yesterday with 85 percent mark. the truck had an air suspension and i didnt know how to check it if its overloaded. told him if it was normal one it should smile but aparently it wasnt enough.

I was a bus driver 2 years ago I did my model 4 test, and my cpc it was a pain in the arse. But now I've decided to go on to l g v course And hopefully on to the h g v course from there... I guess am born to drive and drive I shall
+krishm666 Hi, thanks for your comments. They work under a different relay system (hazards compared to indicators) and normally I would agree with you. However The Mod 4 test is quite short and you got to get things done a little quicker so the examiners will accept you using the hazards as opposed to checking each indicator on each side.
U can drive straight away. U don't even have to Wate for ur card. The card is valid for 5 years. U have to complete ur 35 within that 5 years. So u can drive as soon as u pass mod 4

MAN truck underneath the bunk on both sides of truck outside storage didn't pull the lever inside to open them I used to keep my food and other stuff in them. and once I get better I plan on going for my CPC and should pass. having multiple Sclerosis is a pain in the butt I have not driven for 12 years now
I been drivin nearly a year now. Thanks to this vid I k ew what to expect snd look for. The brief you get before your test is all rushed and you can't take it all in. But it is pretty much common sense. Passed it first time. Took it same day a guy who failed 3 times previously, he was rather gob smacked to say the least lol Cheers shaun. I've now just got drivers cpc to do now,in well 4 years now lol
This video is awesome it's so helpful ! I passed my CPC today I got 95%, it explains everything in detail as the training I had on the day earlier was very brief and rushed. I'll recommend this video to anyone who is considering going into HGV, definitely helped me out so thanks !! I got lucky though and wasn't asked to demonstrate anything on the loading trolley 😀

Nice one! It is all about suitable study and preparation and you certainly seem to have done that. What minor tweaks were added anyway?

Passed with 100%, be thorough and show them you know your stuff, tell them what you are doing all the time, my lorry didn't have a tail gate so i told her i would get in the back, and told her what i would do, don't just open the back like the guy did who was after me, lost him points and helped him fail, don't worry tho he also said he would use a restraining bar for the steel sheets :-/ if you do your research its hard to fail, good luck guys and girls.

Hi Paul. Thanks very much for sharing this video. The Module 4 (once you know the questions) is quite straight forward. You are right about the problem with the Module 2. The language barrier is the problem here. If your English is not up to standard you cannot read or understand the questions.Really like your postings BTW. Really interesting

This in an excellent video. I'm about to undertake my Practical test and Mod 4. Found the advice very easy to follow and remember.
When your driving instructor from a different company shows you this video instead of their own... hehe.

On a more critical note if you do another one, get a microphone for the presenter so that they don't have to shout.

great video mate. Passed my module 4 yesterday with 85 percent mark. the truck had an air suspension and i didnt know how to check it if its overloaded. told him if it was normal one it should smile but aparently it wasnt enough.
+grabin7 The video is a bit dated so does not show more modern suspension systems. But hey, you got a pass! Well done!

i paid 250 for training and the test and my training was semi good so was not confident but watching this made me so sure id pass and i did. if i lived in surrey i would of defo done my training with you.

I was a bus driver 2 years ago I did my model 4 test,
and my cpc
it was a pain in the arse.
But now I've decided to go on to l g v course
And hopefully on to the h g v course from there...
I guess am born to drive and drive I shall
Well worth a watch 5 star recommend you watch every little helps and it only 40 minutes and could save you a packet

I've been told indicators has to be checked separately as they can be other circuit than hazard lights
+krishm666 Hi, thanks for your comments. They work under a different relay system (hazards compared to indicators) and normally I would agree with you. However The Mod 4 test is quite short and you got to get things done a little quicker so the examiners will accept you using the hazards as opposed to checking each indicator on each side.
Great, helpful video. My only feedback would be that a microphone would have made it easier to hear what you're saying.

U can drive straight away. U don't even have to Wate for ur card. The card is valid for 5 years. U have to complete ur 35 within that 5 years. So u can drive as soon as u pass mod 4

+afgse dgr The Driver CPC is sent out very quickly...as long as you have passed Module 3 (driving test)
This video has been really helpful. I've got my CPC module 4 on Monday and it's so much better to see a full practical demonstration than just read it in the books.

MAN truck underneath the bunk on both sides of truck outside storage didn't pull the lever inside to open them I used to keep my food and other stuff in them. and once I get better I plan on going for my CPC and should pass. having multiple Sclerosis is a pain in the butt I have not driven for 12 years now
I been drivin nearly a year now. Thanks to this vid I k ew what to expect snd look for. The brief you get before your test is all rushed and you can't take it all in. But it is pretty much common sense. Passed it first time. Took it same day a guy who failed 3 times previously, he was rather gob smacked to say the least lol Cheers shaun. I've now just got drivers cpc to do now,in well 4 years now lol

This video is awesome it's so helpful ! I passed my CPC today I got 95%, it explains everything in detail as the training I had on the day earlier was very brief and rushed. I'll recommend this video to anyone who is considering going into HGV, definitely helped me out so thanks !! I got lucky though and wasn't asked to demonstrate anything on the loading trolley 😀
