I never got to say goodbye to either of my parents before they passed. It was and still is very heartbreaking. I was the only child. Blake is absolutely amazing and I just love every single one of his songs. You should check out more of Blake's songs. 1. Come back as a country boy 2. I lived it 3. I'll name the dogs 4. She's got a way with words 5. Honey bee 6. Nobody but you featuring his wife Gwen Stefani These are just some of the greatest songs he's done... I couldn't possibly name them all without looking them up first.
I can so relate to this song. I was the baby of five children my mother had. She passed when I was 31 and all my life she introduced me as "the baby". I still miss her 30 years later.
Country Music artists, especially from the 1990s, loved honoring parents in music. Some of my favorite songs about fathers, mothers, and grandparents are Till I Was a Daddy Too by Tracy Lawrence, Drive by Alan Jackson, The Baby by Blake Shelton (thank you for reacting to this one), He Walked on Water by Randy Travis, The Best Day by George Strait, Love Without End Amen by George Strait, So Much Like My Dad by George Strait, The Night I Called Him Out by Garth Brooks, Mom by Garth Brooks, The Walk by Sawyer Brown, You're Gonna Miss This by Trace Adkins (thanks for also reacting to this one), Then They Do by Trace Adkins, The Car by Jeff Carson, Grandpa Told Me So by Kenny Chesney, There Goes My Life by Kenny Chesney, He Didn't Have to Be by Brad Paisley, It Won't Be Like This For Long by Darius Rucker, and How Can I Help You Say Goodbye by Patty Loveless.
I feel the same way. My kids are all grown now but since the day they were born everything I did was for them. It was never a chore but what I wanted to do.
I have never made it through this song without goosebumps and tears. Now that both of my parents have passed this song makes me feel so blessed that I was with them both as they left this world. None of my siblings can say that. But this song still guts me every single time.
I was my dad's baby and he died unexpectedly a couple of days after the last time 8 saw him we didn't have a fight but it was a little bit of an argument. I did tell him I love him and hugged him before we left but not really getting to say that final good bye hurts. He also passed away the day before father's day so that time of year is really hard I know this song is about a mother and son but it resonates with me for my dad
You gotta do a reaction to Austin now. I started listening to Blake Shelton right about the time that The Baby came out. That, Some Beach and Austin are some of my fave songs from him.
I absolutely love your reactions to country music! This one was tough. My first thought was "well... His friend did it again lol." But I really can't wait to see you do more!
This one always hits me hard. I'm the baby of my family by 11 years. The whole song isn't exactly my life but there were so many parts that were just like my life. I got to see my mom the morning of the day she passed away but I was so super sick myself my family sent me home before I ended up in the hospital myself (the doctor was also my dr and he'd sent me home 2 days before threatening to put me in the hospital if I didn't take care of myself). I was in my favorite chair with the front door open watching "One Life to Live" when my sister and sister in law pulled up in front of the door. I knew at that moment she was gone. I still feel guilty I wasn't there in the very end. I've had family members and counselors tell me that I shouldn't feel guilty because I was so very sick. I try to reason with myself but even though it makes sense in my head, I just can't get my heart on board.
This is my first time hearing this song again, after losing my day in May. I am the baby of the family and I was a Daddy’s girl through and through. I was at work when I found out something was wrong, he died a week before his birthday, and the first thing that went through my head was I told him the night before, that I loved him and I would see him in the morning. Since 2006 my family has seen a lot of tragedy, and it never gets easier. You get a new normal, and you may not like it, but life goes on, on you have to as well for your family, friends, and all those who love you. I truly love your no holds bar genuine reactions. I know you are busy and I understand if you can’t, but if you could react to Tim McGraw’s My Little Girl, and Brooks and Dunn (featuring Reba McEntire) Cowgirls Don’t Cry, I would appreciate it. The first one was going to be my father daughter dance song at my wedding, and the second one has become words I live by considering everything I have been through in my 33 years. Everybody please live life to the fullest every day with no regrets, and don’t sweat the small stuff. Thank you again!
So sorry @gingersnapgirl9673 for the loss of your mom. Tonight, when it is dark outside, go out and find the brightest star you can see. That is your Mother with her porch light on waiting for her loved ones to come home. My Pop is up there waiting on me too❣️
@@gingersnap22 You are so welcome. I try to be everything that I loved about my father. How he was kind to everyone and tried to help them. How he used humor to get through life and how he never sweated the small stuff, he knew what was important. That’s how I keep him with me. Maybe you can do the same thing with your mom’s memory. Stay strong, she’s always in your heart ♥️
Every time I go out to eat and I see a woman the age my mom would be if she was still alive I buy her dinner or whatever it is. I tell them is in honor of my mom who is no longer here. I know Ill never love anyone more than I miss her. I love you mom. ❤️🥺
I was like that. I'm not the baby, I am the middle child. My mom loved us all the same though. My boyfriend and I live in Sacramento and my mom lived in Pinole. We would go visit her every chance we got. Then one day, she went into a nursing home. We would go visit her there every chance we got. Than one day we got a call saying that she was getting weaker. We got to the home as fast as we could , but by the time we got there , God had already taken her. I didn't get to say goodbye to her our give her a kiss or anything. I should have given her a kiss the last time I seen her alive, but because of the stupid covid, I didn't. So, I'm just saying to all my friends out there, tell the people that you love that you love them, and give them a hug or a kiss whenever possible Now, I'd like to make a request if possible. I don't k ow if you react to Christian music, but my moms favorite song was In the garden. Could you please play that in honor of mama Ruth? Thank you and God bless.
If you like the storytelling then you should definitely check out, Hardy (Featuring Lainey Wilson) Wait in the Truck and Mark Wills Don't Laugh at Me (Both his solo version and the new remake with HomeFree.)

Blake is a huge part of Country Music and he continues to release hits, this is definitely a tearjerker and it gets me every time
Really is a talented singer!!
Nothing but truth, as the baby of 7, my relationship with mom was special, and I happily had 55 years with her. RIP to all the moms who have passed
I have been listening to this song for decades and I still cry.
You are one GREAT Dad! You & your wife are raising two fantastic little boys. It shows in your words; your voice; and your face. God bless.
The reason we keep recommending these powerful songs is because we love your emotionally honest reactions. Respect, sir. ❤️
As soon as I saw you were reacting to this I was like “Oh he’s gonna cryyyyyyyyy” I’m about to watch the video now hahaha

Sorry to hear that my friend! Much love to you ❤️❤️
And thank you for the recommendations! ❤️

Another that is a tear jerker, however beautiful, is John Michael Montgomery and The Little Girl. So touching. ♥️

That's a beautiful song. And a beautiful reaction. Thanks.
This was one of my first favorite Shelton songs. You’re right, his story telling is incredible.
My brother had this as his Mother and Son dance at his wedding. Although my mom is still with us, it was a testament to the love he has for her.
This one will make you cry 😢❤
My favorite Blake Song
I recommend a Blake song that won't make you cry: "Ol' Red." Great story song, great video.
I cry every time I hear this song, it's beautiful
One of the best songs ever.

Going to recommend "Alyssa Lies" by Jason Carroll, and "Concrete Angel" by Martina Mcbride.
i second this!!!
Concrete Angel will kill him.
He already did concrete angel
@@carmelitalovelace2954 I tried looking for it again but can't find it. Do you maybe have the link?
Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins did a duet called Hillbilly Bone. I think you'd like it, it's funny
This song always reminds me of 'whats eating gilbert grape'.
Great storyteller HARDY featuring Lainey Wilson, Wait in the Truck
It'll be 3 years tomorrow since I lost my mom unexpectedly. This song gutted me. 😢

I haven't heard this in n very long time & yes I'm crying. I'm not even the baby in our family, I'm the oldest.😂 But my baby brother, this is him. ❤
I was going to suggest this one! lol
This song hurts so much. I was my dad's baby girl, and I missed saying goodbye to him by 30 minutes.
You should try Blake's song Austin
If it is your first time hearing Blake Shelton song.... Try to listen his song called friends.... you'll know 😁
