My Dad was that man. The one who didn’t have to be a Dad to a daughter that wasn’t biologically his. My older sister was 4 when she met him. He married my Mom a few months later and immediately adopted my sister and gave her his last name. He’s always been her Daddy because he wanted her and my Mom and stepped up when the genetic Dad didn’t. They had me two years later and my sister knows she never missed a single thing. He’s so much better than the other guy. My Dad is kind, smart, funny, dedicated, strong, hard working, wise, loving… he doesn’t smoke or drink to excess. No drugs. He doesn’t gamble. He doesn’t cheat, he’s not abusive in any way. He does things without expecting a thank you, sometimes you don’t even know he did them until later. He gives me these big bear hugs and I can feel that he just never wants to let me go. To feel that much love from someone is such a blessing… there aren’t words good enough to describe it. His life hasn’t been an easy one. Time after time he’s gotten hurt and just a raw deal all around. But he keeps going and he doesn’t let it change him for the worse. If I could take away all the pain he’s had to endure, I would. Because he’s done so much for me, for my Mom and for my sister.
I met the man who became my Dad when I was 3, they got married when I was 4. They were married almost 55 years before we lost him. My heart has a hard time listening but it's so true. ❤❤❤
I was adopted from foster care as a small child. I had a rough time with my mom, but my dad was a gift. He passed 2 years ago. In our last conversation, I was able to thank him for choosing to be my dad. For choosing me. ❤
@@tinapruitt1037 I’m sorry. That’s young! I’m 50 now. My dad was just shy of 92. I’m grateful for those adult years as my childhood was rough, and I resented him for not protecting me from my mom. As an adult I was able to talk to him and see how much she manipulated him and hid her abuse. He did what he could. Not perfect, but no one is. It was in adulthood that I was able to clearly see how much he did love me.
Brad can make you laugh or cry. Take your pick. Alcohol. I'm Gonna Miss Her, Waiting on a Woman, and so many others. What a great singer and story teller.
One thing about Brad Paisley is he's gonna have you in tears whether from a touching story like this, a sad one like whiskey lullaby, or a hilarious one like I'm gonna miss her!!
*Brad Paisley* .. is now 50 years old, love his music, he's an incredible country singer and outstanding guitarist. Brad is married to actress *Kimberly Williams-Paisley* better known from "Father Of The Bride" We need to get you out of crying so much, I'm suggesting a Brad song that will put a smile on your face. • *"I'm Gonna Miss Her"* by *Brad Paisley*
Yaaaaaaayyy! You've found Brad Paisley!! I'm so happy right now - he doesn't get nearly the amount of love he deserves! He's got so many great songs - I'll warn you now though, his duet with Dolly Parton on 'When I Get Where I'm Going,' with Alison Krauss on 'Whiskey Lullaby' and his 'Letter To Me' will break your heart into little pieces! Definitely worth it though. He's also hilarious with his more comedic songs - absolute musts are 'Online' and 'I'm Gonna Miss Her,' and also recommend 'I'm Still A Guy.' Oh, and another country singer who will break you with his songs is Kenny Chesney. 'There Goes My Life' will crumble you just like this one did!
If you want a good laugh, listen to Brad Paisley's song, "I'm Gonna Miss Her." The video stars his real-life wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley (the actress who played the daughter of Steve Martin in Father of the Bride.)
Hats off to Lee Majors, the Step Dad in this Video. Major actor in 70's and 80's. Million Dollar Man series from 73-78 among other Movies. He still looks good.
Brad IS young in this one. It was released in 1999. LOL He is 51now, which makes him 27 here. He is still making amazing music. You would love his song 'Waitin' on a woman' too. He has been married to his actress wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley for 20 years & they have 2 kids. They started a charity in Nashville in 2020 where they built a store where people come in & grab a carat, do their shopping, bag their stuff & leave. Everything is free & they named it 'The store' so when people said they were going to the store, they would not feel any embarrassment or judgement from others. This guy is a fantastic human, amazing guitarist, singer & songwriter. He can make you laugh, make you cry, make you fall in love, or help when you're falling apart. Tons of fun music, always with a positive spin.
So the baby in this music video is an adult now. Wow, it really does not seem like this song should be so old, it seems like just a few years old, not two decades! What an absolutely timeless piece, it will never lose its importance in civilization. It's as important as John Lennon's song 'Imagine'. :)
Brad Paisley is an amazing talent. Singer, songwriter, and one of the best guitar players in Nashville. He married Kimberly Williams, actress in Father of the Bride with Steve Martin. Brad hired her to do a music video coming out, because he saw her on TV, and decided he wanted to marry her. Anyway she accepted the job for the music video, and it is the funniest video out there. PLEASE watch, “I’m Gonna Miss Her”. By the way, I think they’ve been married for like 16 years now. Side note…They have a son named Huck.
I have a 28 year old son who i got to meet when he was 3, and he is an amazing man today and i love him to death... This song makes me feel great. Thank you all foster, Step dads who love the kids who needed it.
Brad Paisley is an incredible country singer. His funny songs are hysterical ("I'm Gonna Miss Her," "Celebrity"), his heartful songs are wonderful ("Waiting on a Woman," "Little Moment"), and his sorrowful songs are heartwrenching ("Whisky Lullaby," "When I Get Where I'm Going"). Plus, his real wife is featured in a lot of his videos because she's a rather famous actress who appears as a side character in a lot of movies / television series.
Once you become a parent, you stop being the picture, and you start being the frame. 💙 I love my boy more than I could ever love anything! He is 15 now and it all went too fast!
Every time you rightly state that when you become a parent your old life is over and now all that matters is being the best father in your child's life it really makes me think of the wonderful song "Till I Was a Daddy Too" by Tracy Lawrence, especially when he sings, "Real love, the kind that you can't understand until you hold it in your arms and touch it with your hands. Pure joy, the kind that you can only find when your life for them and leave yourself behind."
When I was growing up, my grandmother used to live with a man that was not my biological grandfather. My blood-related grandfather wasn't in the picture when I was young. But the man my grandmother lived with made us feel like we never missed out on having a granddad on mum's side. He took my brother and me out on play dates, he used to play with us all the time, he loved us and cared for us. He passed away in 2018 and honestly, even though my biological grandfather had come back into my life in his later years, my step-granddad never left and he's always in my heart. He'll always be my grandfather.
When I met my 2nd (current) husband 22yrs ago I had 3 small daughters... This song is definitely one that holds so much meaning for us. Awesome song & great reaction.
@9:25, YESSIR! All I can say is that I pray 🙏 my boys will have that one "that didn't have to be" one day soon! You're an awesome man and a great husband and such a proud father, I truly cannot see you being anything less than what you said you want them to remember ❤️ 💙
What many younger generations don’t know is that as a Gen X’er Brad Paisley loved the TV show “The Six Million Dollar Man” as Lee Majors was one of his hero’s (mine too) and hired him to play his step father in that video. I thought that was the coolest thing ever.
Written by Brad and a very good friend. The friend is that dad who has a great relationship with his stepson. Brad said lets write a song that will make your wife cry.
I have always loved this song. The first time I watched the video way back when, it didn't catch my eye, but watch it again and you'll want to punch the second guy (mustache guy) in the face for the look he gives while she is closing the door.
So much love watching your reactions and the genuine joy you show for amazing singers and amazing lyrics. All I can say is please give us more!! Such amazing country songs and artists that you will love. Please give us more country!! ❤
Check out "Waitin' on a Woman"...a bit more humorous but still a touching song about true love. You'll enjoy that one. Brad's got a huge catalog of both funny and touching songs. "I'm Gonna Miss Her" is hilarious, and features his real-life wife. "When I Get Where I'm Going" features Dolly Parton. "She's Everything to Me" is a ballad to his wife. "Whiskey Lullaby" is a heartbreaking duet with Allison Krause. And "Online" is funny as heck, with Seinfeld's Jason Alexander in the video. They're all great songs. Enjoy!
This one was my mama's favorite of Brad's- my grandfather married my grandma when Mama was about 5. She called him dad, and i grew up knowing him as Papa, even though he died before i was born
I was at work and this popped up, I had to wait until I got home, since I figured you would cry. It is a lovely song. For a laugh, you should react to either Ticks or I'm Gonna Miss Her.
Brad has sooo many good songs!! Some wholesome like this one. Some are really hilarious, etc. This is a rabbit hole with ton of content to explore. Great reaction Luke 😊
Brad is amazing. His songs are funny very emotional emotional Mr. Policeman. Me neither. I could go on and on And when I saw him in concert he gave his guitar to a boy who was there for his 7th bday. ❤
Brad Paisley is FANTASTIC. Other songs to check out. When I get where I'm going, Alcohol, I'm gonna miss her, I'm still a guy, We danced, and Letter to me. Random question. When you hear a touching song like this do you go and share it with your wife? And Hi from Los Angeles!
@G.O.T., YOU have to do "The Highway Don't Care"...if you haven't already 😉 You're one of THE REALEST PEOPLE I have ever seen and I've been with you for a long time now! A LOT of country songs we dedicate to our loved ones, whether here, or even when they've gotten their wings.🪽🪽❤ There's one that we've dedicated to several of the winged ones, and it was written by Chris Stapleton and sang first by Luke Bryan, it's called "Drink A Beer"...If you ever think that you can do it, I'd love to see/hear your thoughts on it and on the live one (I think it was) Chris is behind Luke playing guitar and doing backup 😮 But, Luke was given it bc he's lost a lot of his family ❤😢
You are so right about choosing your family. I left home when I was12, due to a bad home. I was lucky that God put people in my life at the right times. I never saw my family since. I have three kids now and what I went through taught me what not to be. I love my kids more then anything and they are my family. You cannot let a bad parent(s) dictate your life and your outcome.
Another great one of Brads that you should react to is ‘Whiskey Lullaby’. I also highly recommend reacting to Rodney Atkin’s ‘Watching You’, which was my favorite song growing up, and Oliver Anthony’s ‘I gotta get sober’.
Brad has a very deep catalogue and is a very talented musician who rarely ever misses. Two songs I would recommend that I haven't seen here are When I Get Where I'm Going, and Waiting On A Woman.
This is such a great song and Brad Paisley has plenty. My favorites of his are Part Two, Then, Remind Me (with Carrie Underwood), He Didn’t Have To Be, Letter To Me, Ticks, I Wish You’d Stay, Who Needs Pictures, I’ve Been Better, Holdin’ On To You, Alcohol, Celebrity, I'm Still a Guy, and Water.
What I love about country music is no matter how you might be feeling there are songs that can express it even when you can't yourself. Like when I feel alone because life is dragging on me and I feel like no one can understand what I'm going through I listen to Sawyer Brown's " They don't understand" and I start feeling better. Please check it out I think the message in the song is so important and should be remembered.
Great song, one of his first big hits! Please, please, please watch "I'm still a guy" to get the full appreciation of his personality. The song is hilarious, and you will definitely NOT cry!!!
Awesome reaction, sir! If I could recommend a couple of Brad’s upbeat tunes: “American Saturday Night” is a real up-tempo stadium sort of country tune, and “Online” really showcases Brad’s sense of humor (the video even features William Shatner and the actor who played George Costanza on “Seinfeld”).
2 am and I'm going down a YT rabbit hole. Love your reaction to this song. Brad Paisley is one of my favorite performers. You should check out Terri Clark - She Didn't Have Time. Beautiful song by an amazing country singer ❤
I've started putting this on every Brad Paisley reaction on every channel I watch. It is true that the king of country is George Strait. He has more number one hits than anybody in history in any genre of music. Currently stands at 76 #1s! By the time Brad Paisley reaches the age George Strait is he will have beaten George and will be the new reigning king. I could be wrong but the dude's got the potential for sure and he doesn't seem to be slowing down much.
My moms step dad was the only Dad she had her bio dad didn't want her but that was ok, Floyd was my grandpa in every way that counted he raised my Mom to be a kind loving person he loved her like a real Dad should he was the only one that loved my Mom and i we were not his blood but he was our family. Awesome reaction.
Thank you so much. Country music was at its prime for me during the time that this song came out. Really loved it and still do. THANK YOU. Really appreciate you taking the time to dip into country music. Canada has country music, too! :D
Had to watch when I saw you had reacted to this. Brad writes his own songs and they are all great but many are actually funny. Had a feeling this one would get to you but in a good way. Great reaction man. 👍
Omg U need to delve into Brad this is an old song and he is a good bit older now but at every step in his life journey with his long term wife he captured it in song. He is also sick on the guitar check out him and keith Urban both electric guitar geniuses!!! Just started watching reaction videos and just like watching u when I am not wakeboarding or doing Philosophy!
My brother doesn't cry easily, but I sent him this song and told him it reminded me of his story with his girlfriend's son. Made him cry If you like a good country song story, you can listen to "The visit" by Chad Brock.
que buena música y que buena reflexión te deja. hace tiempo que no escuchaba música country. me gusto mucho el cantante y ese sentimiento que te trasmite mientras va contando su historia.
For another great parenthood song, I highly recommend "Cecelia and the Satellite" by Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. It's a beautiful pop song about the singer devoting himself to his new daughter.
He has some funny ones too. Check out “celebrity” and “online” and “water” some of the lighthearted fun ones. I saw him in concert in the early 2000s and the opening act was Taylor Swift touring for her debut album.
So just for your curiosity this song came out in 1999 when Brad was a young man. He may be a lot older now but his voice is still the exact same in my opinion.
SUCH A HEART WARMING STORY!!

Both so good but Alyssa Lies by JMC is one of my favorite as Jason is local to me and have photographed him several times.

I recommend "this is country music" by Brad Paisley. Kinda sumorizes what country music is about, think you would really like it
Brad has a very deep catalogue and is a very talented musician who rarely ever misses. Two songs I would recommend that I haven't seen here are When I Get Where I'm Going, and Waiting On A Woman.
Totally love this one, every time!! Can´t watch it without tears.... The message is amazing, the way it makes you think! 😍

Brad Paisley is so good, and this is such a wholesome song.

Great song, one of his first big hits! Please, please, please watch "I'm still a guy" to get the full appreciation of his personality. The song is hilarious, and you will definitely NOT cry!!!
Country music has soul, heart and faith. 🖤
Also this is an older son. This is back in my teenage years him looking this young geezus 😂😂😂
I always cry at this one too
Awesome reaction, sir!
That is an older song but I love Brad Paisley!
THIS IS SO HEARTFELT 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Omg U need to delve into Brad this is an old song and he is a good bit older now but at every step in his life journey with his long term wife he captured it in song. He is also sick on the guitar check out him and keith Urban both electric guitar geniuses!!! Just started watching reaction videos and just like watching u when I am not wakeboarding or doing Philosophy!
My brother doesn't cry easily, but I sent him this song and told him it reminded me of his story with his girlfriend's son. Made him cry
If you like a good country song story, you can listen to "The visit" by Chad Brock.
Love this song, hope you react to more of his songs ❤
que buena música y que buena reflexión te deja. hace tiempo que no escuchaba música country. me gusto mucho el cantante y ese sentimiento que te trasmite mientras va contando su historia.
you should do Brad Paisley ft Alison Krauss Whiskey lullaby
As a bisexual who was kicked out by her family, the choose your own family means so much! Thank you for that sincerely!❤💙💚💜🧡💛
I love this happy ending❤
I loved your reaction!!! ❤
What a nice reaction.
May I humbly suggest two more Brad Paisley songs, "Whiskey Lullaby" (featuring Alison Krauss) and "Gone Fishing". 😔
Go listen to Brad's "Waiting on a Woman".
If you want a Story, Try "Don't Take The Girl"!!❤❤❤❤
For another great parenthood song, I highly recommend "Cecelia and the Satellite" by Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. It's a beautiful pop song about the singer devoting himself to his new daughter.
Oh God there's so many good ones !!
Your gonna be from Reba has really hit me recently 😂
He has some funny ones too. Check out “celebrity” and “online” and “water” some of the lighthearted fun ones.
I saw him in concert in the early 2000s and the opening act was Taylor Swift touring for her debut album.
Check out Brad Paisley's song Waitin on a Woman. It's so Awesome and sweet.
You try some of his funnier songs like 'Im Still A Guy,' 'Online,' 'Celebrity,' or 'Ticks.' You will get a kick out of them.
If you want a fun song by Brad, check out "I'm Gonna Miss Her."
I met my dad at 15. I played this song at his funeral
So just for your curiosity this song came out in 1999 when Brad was a young man. He may be a lot older now but his voice is still the exact same in my opinion.
If you haven’t heard it yet, you should check out Elvie Shane’s “My Boy”
Great reaction! This song hits home for me. i think you'll really love "there goes my life by kenny chesney"
This is an older song. He was a "baby" when he recorded it
Concrete angel a must react
♥️

Check out Reba McEntire. “Because of You” or “I’m a survivor “
