My husband has got to come get me when I go rock hunting..I could say give me an hour...and well ....I am gone for hours..and I have taken my boots off in the winter and waded across a creek barefoot for rock...yes I am that kind of rock crazy..LOL

I have done the same. I wonder what is in the next valley or over the next hill and end up miles from where I started and usually without my gear. It was awful when I was in the Yukon. I loved it and always made it back, but usually hours later.

I love watching your videos as I am new to rockhounding and learning what I can find in my expanded area makes it more exciting. My 7 year old daughter is a HUGE fan and hopes one day she gets to meet you and Daisy (she has been so inspired by your videos that she asked Santa, her aunt & her grandparents for rock kits, tools and books for Christmas - most of which she got). Thank you for sharing this adventure with us.

Most of the youtubers are pretty good at what they are doing but I have only come across a couple I think seem to have more background knowledge than the average rock hound.

Trim saws are expensive, even used. I have a 10" and would prefer a larger one. I still use my 7" tile saw too.

A bear chased Daisy a few years ago. It has been a long time since I have seen a rattle snake. Lots of non-poisonous snakes around. They especially like rock piles in the sun
