- The first period in a girl's life is an important landmark in her life- physically, psychologically and socially . The girl should be made to feel proud of having periods. It is our duty as mothers and as a society to make them feel proud of their ability to create life. Preparing them about periods is not just about body parts, napkins and tampons, but it is to inculcate a confident and positive body image in their minds too. For only a confident mother can raise a confident daughter.
This video is also close to my heart as my daughter Sejal is part of it and I am very proud of her.
In this video, my close friend, Ragini, plays part of my daughter'mom. Thank you Ragini, for being part of this beautiful message.

Due to budget and corona constraints we had to get my 25 year old daughter to play an 11 year old haha!

My mother is a biology teacher. She always made sure that I have correct information about periods so that I don't panic at the time when I get it. Even my father was quite open to discuss about this topic with me. I still remember the day when I got my first period. We were supposed to leave for a tour 2 days later. And BOOM!!! I was all red down there... But my parents helped me to handle that situation and made sure that I feel confident throughout my tour. They always encouraged me to do my regular works even in my period days, which actually gave me confidence. I used to see many of friends feel shy while talking about periods to their parents. They even hesitated to buy pads for themselves from a medical shop. I think a girl can be proud of her periods only when her parents make her believe so. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful message.

I feel this should be taught in school more openly beacuse whenever our teacher used to talk about it she used to send us in another class so that boys don’t know about it and I feel that is totally wrong and then they were so curious to know that what happened ,what were they saying and all. Such a great message! I loved the part "never feel uncomfortable to get closer to your husband in front of your children". ❤ Can you kindly make a video on emotional handling because my mom actually described everything about the physical part of periods but no one ever told me how to handle the mental part. I'm 24 now & I'm recently passing a tough time to handle my arrogance or emotional trauma when the period comes. I don’t usually ever get any physical pain but this mental torture is getting unbearable! Even regular exercising is not helping me to deal with that mental condition.

My mom always told me about having periods and everything but not very much in detail but I being a curious soul always searched about it on Google and youtube I even searched for the symptoms of first period so that when I get them I don't panic much and it did helped me, I also helped my friends regarding this!! And got enough knowledge by the time I got them which I am very grateful to god about!❤️❤️

This was a very informative video. I just want to make a suggestion- if you are doing whole video in hindi then give English subtitle and if it's in English then supplement it with hindi subtitles. It will have a great reach among people.
