The most nothing burger of a “podcast” they basically tiptoed around the information we already knew about being exclusives becoming multiplat and kept bringing up the same thing over and over again. I get that hardware isn’t xboxs biggest concern but holy they just need to get rid of that division already so they can start earning money.
I can see them do something like doing a 1-year exclusivity for Xbox (or future platform) and when the sales are fully saturated they port it to Playstation/Nintendo. They are testing the waters with 4 smaller titles and I will bet the house that Starfield will come to PS5 at some point. Which then really begs the question: is the xbox hardware obsolete at this point? Why would I get a machine that misses out on a lot of Square Enix and japanese 3rd party titles along with a slew of 2nd party titles...just so I can play Ori? This is Microsoft hedging their bets: If this works out, GREAT, more revenue for them and the way to becoming a multiplatform publisher is open. If this doesn't work, the experiments end and some smaller indie/independent games were the sacrificial goat and the tentpole franchises are safe.
@dorian6021 Sure but I think the whole reason no-one is doubting the future of Playstation is that people are actually buying the thing. It's outselling the Xbox by a huge margin

Xbox bringing 4 games to other consoles, Sea of thieves, grounded , pentiment, and hi fi rush currently. If those games do well Other games will come later.
Microsoft is carrying these guys beyond the call of duty. THey would be a $19.99 per release 3rd party stufio if they didn't have MS deep pockets. Why is it so hard for them to produce games? Not new controllers, but new games. They own so many studios yet come off has a desperate compnay struglling to stay relevant. Meanwhile all their competition is doing is releasing games. Well Nintendo at least. Playstation has gotten really lazy with xbox fumbling around.
WOW!!! A "web camera"! :-○

"The teams put a lot of energy into those announcements. . ." That has to mean Rare Replay is coming to Switch, right? That bit made me immediately think about how amazing Banjo's Smash reveal trailer was.
This corporate speak is gross.
Damn they really got the Kane and Lynch hater to do this watch along? Lame

Xbox Business Update - Phil is slowly turning into a hamster, Matt Booty has a funny name and the lady in the middle indulged in hyperbole.
And a smart hamster at that
The most nothing burger of a “podcast” they basically tiptoed around the information we already knew about being exclusives becoming multiplat and kept bringing up the same thing over and over again.
@@eXiLe824 With the popularity of the Steam Deck, I gotta wonder... At what point is PC just the primary platform and thus Microsoft no longer cares so much about Xbox console sales as long as they're getting people on Windows machines, whether that's on traditional PCs or Windows-based devices similar to the Steam Deck and ROG Ally.
Phil looks ssooooo uncomfortable all the way through this, really looks like he's squirming!!
Sarah Bond is sporting a terrible wig.
As expected, much ado about nothing.
