    Thanks @SpareChange!! I was hoping the reviewers give the proper reviews on Sony X95K. Good review and I have a 75 inch X95K and it has almost near OLED blacks and the entertainment content is a treat to watch. With proper settings that minimal blooming can be cut off by the black level and black adjusts on custom settings. There are few reviewers who are actually giving negative reviews on this.
    This Sony TV is a beast. You will not be disappointed 👍👍👍👍

      The 75 inch version has more local dimming zones than the 65 inch version. Of course that performs better.
      But if even you need to adjust the settings around blooming, come on, then we cant really pretend its not a problem.
      What i say in defense of X95J however is most LEDs have this problem naturally. But lets not say there is no blooming.

    • @rahulnaidupilla4956
      @rahulnaidupilla4956 2 года назад +4

      @@NoMementoMori Ofcourse, I didnt mention there is no blooming, but if you have this TV and watch entertainment or dark scenes in the night time, you can hardly notice the blooming and it never bothers you while watching any content. Every TV needs to be adjusted properly in the settings before you acquire a picture that suits your eyes. Cmon, this is not an OLED TV and you cant mount an OLED TV in the living room expecting it to brighter. Its a mini-LED(LCD) screen and you can see minimal blooming, but this is far far better than q90B and I was watching Northman yesterday night and it was a treat to watch it on this big screen. But I would agree they could have done a better job for the price range and at the same time you will not be disappointed. Do not go with one negative review, just watch it before you decide.

    Just received the 85-inch version yesterday, and my first impressions regarding blooming: Hardly any worth mentioning. The black bars are inky black in the Netflix shows and 4K discs I tested. I also tested some 4K space scenes from youtube. Space is satisfyingly deep, perhaps a little bloom around very bright planets, but that's only because I was looking for it very intently; certainly nothing to distract you from enjoying the overall image. No problems with subtitles either. I'm sure I can bring down what little blooming there is even further with some tweaking. In many scenes I would say the black levels rival oleds.

      @@ManuelMedellin. RTINGS acknowledges in their comments that Sony doesn’t do well in their testing but performs better in real world content. Look at the comments under their “local dimming” and also “color gamut” section of the X95J. Rtings also says they dont measure things like image processing, which also doesn’t take into account Sony’s main benefit.

    In three days I will have the 85 X95k installed. I am getting tired of all this. What we have is a TV that has excellent color, clarity, black levels, and contrast along with excellent sound for a TV. It can act as a middle speaker with my audio system, and in a very few scenes may have slight blooming but you really have to look for it. Unless Sony decides to change local dimming with an upgrade, it's not the best for gaming. I'm a movie and sports guy so this looks like an excellent TV for me to have and enjoy. Do I wish it was less expensive, yes I do? I think mini LED is a good way to go. If a buyer thinks differently, buy something else. There a several other TV's that I considered would be great choices depending on their use. I happen to like the way Sony looks. I have a Sony A80J upstairs and think it is a great TV. Let's move on, there are plenty of good choices. Maybe once this TV gets into the stores, and people really see what it does, this will all go away.

    I still camt believe blooming on mini led is still a topic when in fact the real measurement is do side by side on oled and sony mini led and put a white text side by side and you will see perceptive blooming on oled. Lol why people still checking on blooming when it should not be an issue like 3 years ago we only have 48 local dimming and everyone is raving now we have mini led with 200 local dimming zones and still complaining on blooming. Again all LCD LED backlight will bloom even the mighty samsung and even the pro display of ipad and macbook 14 will always bloom mind you those display packed 1000 dimming zones for 10000 mini led backlight and still blooms. Now if you want no blooming go oled then but can it go bright for daytime use yes acceptable but not as good as regular backlighting besides mini led on daytime use doesnt matter. It only matter if you watch on dark room for movie watching of that is the use case just watching movies on dark oled but everyday use and acceptable movie dark room watching mini led does its job. Local dimming needs to be kept at an average level, damn it, this is how Sony's algorithm works, because it will underestimate the brightness on small and medium-sized objects, but it will give brightness over large areas, but the effect of HDR is killed, lanterns, lamps, faccels, car headlights will not be so bright! And on large windows it will be overexposed more than necessary ! The AVERAGE GOES according to the standard from the factory and this is the correct operation of the backlight !

What he was showing looked like I was watching some kind of worst FALD TV and I knew right away that there was something wrong with this man as everyone who had this TV on trial or bought it just praises how great it is.Even the smaller 65 "X95K certainly displays a very SUPER image and there is no guesswork here, but maybe the image is not as good as the 85". The Sony TV XH90 or X90J models have a great picture and now with MiniLed lighting it can only be markedly better and not worse and there should be no dilemma here at all. QUANTUM TV is nothing but an IDIOT which constantly criticizes and spits at some manufacturers.

      Mini led minimizes blooming through better backlight control. In this day and age it's the best way to keep blooming down since it happens often with LCD. You can thank Sony R&D for that. My guess is you're not educated enough to go on the internet to bother to look that up? Next time at least pretend to be smarter before making accusations.

      I watch a lot of movies maybe 3 a week but I watch more sports so it made more sense for me to get the A90J.
      Now if I watched more movies than sports I go the other way.
      The A90J is the best TV for movie watching hands down. The Z9J is very close to it but you don't get the inky blacks you do on the OLED, now it does an amazing job for an LED screen.
      Now where the Z9J outperforms the A90J in movies is HDR, WOW this tv makes everything pop really nicely and accurately.
