Jolly Good ol Chaps. Hello from California. You just made my day saying the Coiltek went a little deeper. A few days ago I took off my Minelab 15 inch and put on the Coiltek 15 incher. I weighed both and the Coiltek only weighs a few more ounces. I'm 76 yo, and I can handle the extra ounces quite well. I heard "Philip the NOX" on "Metal Detecting New York City" saying, you can get a few more inches, so, me being so old, and probably not many years left to detect, I have to have the best, now. Thanks again and, now I'm gonna go out and see if I can find a "hammered". Mmmm, there probably aren't too many hammers in California, oh well. m
I love the coil Harry and if you can cope with a few extra ounces then it's not a drama. After a decent session with it you get used to it. Wishing you all the best and success pal 😃💪 and thank you for 5aking the time to watch and comment
Top job that fellas!! 😃👍🏻 Sorry I left the premiere early! Got to have me tea eh?! Just finished snatching t’second half so saw Mike catch Rick up!! Belting hunt guys! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Well done!! Take care and be lucky. 💖😃👍🏻
Great finds today, on a great field. Rick with another hammered, Mike with two hammered today….I’m rooting for you Shaun for a hammered. Your day is coming, sooner than you think. The weather was cooperating also. See you on the next. Cheers mates! 🏴🙂👍🇺🇸

Very jealous of the Hammered, well done lads! I have a 15 inch coil for my 800 and rather than extra depth it offers more surface area so can cover much more ground than the stock 11 inch. 15inch my go to every day of the week.
Cracking finds lads, well done on the big hammered coin Rick 👍👍well done on the two hammered coins Mike, lots of cool finds for Shaun, great video lads .
First of all, we'll done on finding 3 hammered coins, amazing.. As I own the vanquish 340 and the nox 600, I thought the 11" coil was big, after seeing it next to those 15" ones, I now know its actually quite small 😀 Well done again.
Great video lads and great finds. I absolutely love my Coiltek 15inch although the extra weight did take some getting used to. I find pinpointing with it a nightmare.
Thanks for the video lads I'll stick to me 11 inch coil but maybe invest in a bigger one at some point. Great to see 3 hammered coins and some great buckles always love a spindle whorl. Good to see you all out there!!😎🐓🐓🐓🐓🇬🇧🥳🥳
Brilliant video and amazing finds all round this week lads 👏👍Shaun will you record me that ' no way ' for a ringtone for the most annoying person in my phone book 😀 😉 Nice to see you out Rick and thank god you had your spray bottle 😊
Coiltek gets a little deeper but depending on soil conditions etc than the minelab but the minelab wins in my opinion as its way lighter :-) thanks for watching matey
I was in Field 1 and just switched the coils the the 15incher mate. I tend to try and run it with max sensitivity but if it's too noisy I drop it a little.
Were you running same settings on the two with the 15" coils? Got the Coiltek 15 and not been massively impressed so far. I tend to run the normal coil on Field 1, 50 tone, FE2, Recovery 2, sens 23-25 which gets quite deep anyway. Been over areas Ive done to depth with the coiltek and not really hitting owt new. Maybe I need to practice with the coiltek a little more. Plenty more on that field for you I reckon judging by what came up. Great vid.
@@TheMetalDetectingChannel I never use beach 2. Used to use Beach 1 similar to how Jason Jones (Norfolk Button Boy) set his up but found on my pasture Field I was very stable and hit deep targets whilst still hitting half cuts and tiny bits of lead at upto 10". I dont mind the weight of the Coiltek too much after having owned an AT Max with a Nel tornado . New perm to start soon all pasture so Ill give the coiltek a proper run out. Cheers.
As Mike said we ran same setting in beach 1, both on 5 tones, my ears can't handle 50 tones at the minute 🤣. Stick with the coil pal it will come good 😃💪
Where I am in Australia, I am never going to find anything like that so the dig was very interesting. But the comparison between the two coils quickly involved into a competition to find the best objects. I was hoping that the abilities and depth penetration for that soil could have been much more in-depth as for the deeper objects this measure seem to be forgotten. One object to getting the bigger coils is to go deeper and although I could see some depth there was no indication of what that measured and that is what I watch this clip for. Also I would have thought that any comparison between coils should have been conducted on the same type of machine. Seems that I did not find what I was looking for.
Hey Steve sorry you didn't enjoy our video or sould I say the video was not what you was hoping for, the coiltek will get a little deeper maybe an inch on dry land but in the wet there really is no difference, intact even the 11inch did as well as the 14inch minlab and coiltek in the wet ground.. I'd defo go with the Minlab15 though due to the weight of the Coiltek is somthing I think makes me think the Minelab is better. Both big coils wherebon Minelab 800s :-). Your feed back has been appreciated Steven and we shall take this on-board for future comparison videos :-) happy hunting pal
Hi mate, it's difficult to say, The coiltek has that bit more depth and coverage but it weights a ton lol so not great for a full day detecting, the minelab is also great. I prefer the minelab as its lighter :-)
