I truly believe that Slater should be in the HOF! No one can say that there was a better Special Teamer than him! I’m an Eagles fan and what Slater has done in his career was amazing! Congrats on the great career and have an amazing retirement!
Slater, Jules, and Chris are three of my favorite people in all of sports that I've found through podcasting. I always liked Edelman for the way he played, but they all have such cool personalities off the field and are naturals at interviews.
As a Patriots fan who has watched Slat since his rookie year, he has always been my favorite. One of the best players, men, fathers, and leaders I have ever seen. I’m so glad I got to grow up seeing that type of leadership in professional sports and having someone to look up to like him.
Chris, you're a pro, and I'm not talking football. This was one of the most enjoyable interviews I've ever heard. Fantastic host, great questions, and a genuinely authentic guest. Thanks, man!
From a 47 year old, lifelong, die-hard, Patriots fan here. Just want to say THANK YOU Slate, for all of it... Thank you Chris, for bringing this legend on the pod! Top-shelf conversation from two class acts!
As an old life long Patriots fan, Matthew is always going to be one of my all time favorites. That young man is class personified. He will be sorely missed. However, he will always be a cherished member of the Patriots family and the entire New England fan base. He truly is his father's son. Jackie's greatness and persona goes without saying. Thank you for everything you are, Matthew. The best of the Good Lord's blessings in your retirement.
Matt Slater is an inspiration. He will be missed. I hope to attend when he gets into the Patriots Hall of Fame. I would love to see Slater have some ongoing connection to the Patriots organization.
If you become the best at what you do, year after year, younger, faster guys come, yet, you are still top dog a decade later, that is HALL OF FAME, PERIOD!!!
Glad to see Matt exposed to a national audience. Dude was an incredible special team but also essentially the team chaplain of the second dynasty. Great personality.
I’m not sure if you’ve ever addressed this before or if it’s something you’re even interested in Chris but I would be very interested in seeing you do film breakdown on the top d line/edge prospects coming out of the draft. You’re clearly very knowledgeable in the subject and I’d love to hear your tape breakdown of Verse, Latu or Turner
The unfortunate thing about all these rule changes on kickoffs is that the onside kick used to be something that always kept teams and fans in the game.
Matthew Slater is a all around class act. He walks his talk every day. Thanks for having him on CL

Man, there is just no better teammate in the world than Matt Slater. First ballot.

This channel should be much bigger, I am sure it’s going to continue to grow. Chris you do a great job.
Everyone in NE loves slater!!
Slater x Kelce conversation needs to happen. Make it happen!

15 years of premier rugby; everything still hurts at 61
Congratulations Mathew your friend Mike from LA Fitness SA Ca
Glad to see Matt exposed to a national audience. Dude was an incredible special team but also essentially the team chaplain of the second dynasty. Great personality.
Matt played a completely different role from his dad and he did extremely well at it plus he was a huge leader off the field.
Just subbed. Keep up the great content 🙏🏻
Great vid, love Slater

LETS GO PATRIOTS
The unfortunate thing about all these rule changes on kickoffs is that the onside kick used to be something that always kept teams and fans in the game.
Ernie Adams was The Consigliere
You gotta love it. Slater played 15yrs for the Pats. Doesn't know what Ernie Adams did for a job 🤣
Im a real patriot fan that could actually afford a ticket to that game because of how bad patriots were. It was fun.
QB stories are cool and all, but special teamers got legendary tales
Glad they cleared up the coin toss. I’ve been upset about it since then 😂 and thought he messed it up
SLATEEEEEEE
Aaron Rodgers had an interesting interview with Tucker Carlson. There's a more to Aaron than meets they eye.
damn he really retired
edit: damn this blew up
meant slater not chris long
... he is or should be a member of HOF, and I'm a Seahawks fan. Mayo should coach his own way !
Julian will willingly admit he kissed Brady's butt. He intentially did everything he could do to ingratiate him self with Tom.
First?
Nice
