I know it’s been three years and you’ve probably got one by now but as an avid string wonder avoider I finally caved in and got one and it was totally worth it
For better tuning on a deep trem dive try the string lock hack on your tuners, essentially turning it into a locking position for regular tuners also a lil nut sauce will go a long way lubricating the nut for the string to move without getting stuck in place throwing it out of tune. Cool vid I'd throw this or the floyd version on before I snakebite n expensive burst. Even the floyd leaves minor impressions n not the regular floyd but the one that doesn't need to be routed just mounted. Save the bigsby for n old tele where it belongs IMO, but there's always a Jimmy page fan that like that bigsby n custom look. That's cool n all if still in the 70s but with new tech why put holes or routes when unnecessary on a LP.
Man I havent even finished watching the vid yet and had to stop i was laughing so hard! Not in a bad way, your just a trip. And I get it having a cat too. Just got a Traditional pro v blueberry burst, loving it! And I just wanted to see someone putting one of these on one. I doubt Ill do it myself, guitar just looks so gorgeous as is. But Id like to have one on too, so idk. Anyways keep this up!
I recommend this dude for a remake of "The Big Lebowski", if Jeff Bridges is sick or in another Hollywood production... alternatively as the charakter of Eddie Bunker , played by Mos Def in "16 Blocks"! Love this guy!!! 🤣😉
The antics are completely awesome, I so wish to do this. I’m wanting to purchase DIY LP kit and install Floyd Rose, Ty for posting. Wanting to finish in Cobra Burst, finally found the colors to use.
Handy tip:- When cleaning and polishing guitar, use your cat. It may complain a little, but your guitar will be shiny as. No, no, no need to thank me, always happy to help. Also as an added bonus, you will find that your cat will cease to hang around your workbench.😁👍
You have my like. But from guitar tech amateur to guitar tech amateur, I would recommend that you plug it in and play something... If not, it makes so much story and so much joke angry. I also love floating bridges and hate the problems they create. That seems to be a good option, although you can't do exaggerated dive bombs like with a floyd rose. Without putting a locking nut and with the strings too horizontal on the way to the tuners, I would recommend that you put a stabilizer bar at that point. Those that carry 2 screws and through which you pass the ropes underneath so that they make more angle. I have an Epiphorne LP and a Gibson Firebird to which I would like to install that duessenberg bridge... Best regards. Ah! and my cats also fill my guitars with their hair hahahahahaha...
(10:40) You're a classy broad, Adam. 😄Your allen key collection is even bigger than mine. Mine all came from IKEA furniture. The crappy furniture is long gone, but the free allen keys remain. Anyway, this was a great video. Subscribed!
Push downs only is only half a trem then ;( These type of "tremolos" should be called "string slackeners" as that would be a more accurate term for them. These type of cheap units have no travel upwards (so no pull-ups) if you're happy with push-downs only, then you may like this. But if you want a proper tremolo/whammy then get a StetsBar.
@@AdamNewmanComedy Lol! Eddie Van Halen NEVER used these types of crappy 1-way only trems! Now that IS comedy 😂 He only used tremolo systems that went up and down! But like I say, these types of trems are cheap for a reason! Because they can only go one way! And that's down! 😂 But for you and those that like going down only, then rock-on! 👍
@@PrettyRecords Prepare to have your mind blown: Eddie's trems were set up to be non-floating, and dive only. His D-Tuna wouldn't have even worked otherwise. And sure this trem only goes down, but it's far from cheap - quality and price-wise. Get what you like, though, and thanks for engaging! Enjoy the Eddie Google! Read about what that 1971 quarter was used for!
@@AdamNewmanComedy Maybe, but the fact remains that he never used a one spring, one trick pony "tremolo" like this is. Players should be able to set their trems up however they wish and not feel compromised by the design. Van Halen would never have used such a toy, even just for pushing down! It's kinda for Grandpas. I mean, name me one PRO player that uses a Les Trem or the Guyker copy? I've never seen a pro player use one 😬
@@PrettyRecords Hilarious to think Eddie wouldn't use cheap guitar parts when he cobbled his guitars together with reject parts and painted them with spray cans. Literally used a quarter to block a prototype trem. Doesn't get much cheaper than that, unless you use a nickel I guess. Use what you like and can afford!
Hi Adam just wondered if it drops out of tune faster with this..I have a Les Paul style and I would like to do this but as you know Les Pauls don't hold tuning as well as other styles maybe due to the head stock shape.ie how the strings are aligned through the nut and onto the tuning pegs this can ad friction on the nut and give tuning problems.maybe this combined with a locking nut Adam, what are your views and thanks for the vid..hi from the Midlands UK bro
It stays in tune about as well as Bigsby - so not perfect, but not bad! I've never tried a locking nut on a Les Paul, but a roller bridge should at least help a little.
@@AdamNewmanComedy I know this is an old video but maybe adding a Graphtech nut will help it stay in tune a bit better. I did it for my Fender Strat when I added a Vega Trem to it.
Lol I too allowed my cats to kinda takeover my guitar space loved my cases especially a particular coffin case one. Was all groovy till it chewed off a horn on my old SG. Thanks Zelda the cat for extra character I suppose🤦🤷
:0 this man is vry funny af also gimme a allen key pls also u got the link to the tremolo bridge? im tryna put this in my les paul :D also i put a single coil in the mid like hsh >:D
I appreciate your obnoxious sarcasm nice job. Oh yeah the fart sounds really made the video. Does farting into microphonic pickups make the wood absorb more tone?
this guy is fun as fuck
Some tuning stability tips for Les Paul trem users.
1. String Butler
2. High break angle at the nut, string up, not down.
3. Roller bridge
4. Tusq nut
This dude is so underrated like what
I know it’s been three years and you’ve probably got one by now but as an avid string wonder avoider I finally caved in and got one and it was totally worth it
NEVER!!!
Hell yeah, comedy and guitar all in one place
Thanks mate, this is what I was looking for. Cant believe you’re able to keep talking during installation, this is very enjoyable to watch! 😁👍🏼

I've done the same thing and installed also roller saddles.. It helps a great deal for tunning stability..
Mine arrived yesterday and I can't wait to install it❤
Hell yea!!

I AM AVAILABLE!!
Awesome video, I think you should make what ever videos you enjoy making.
Couldn't agree more, man!
If the guitar tech thing doesn't work out you'll be da bomb in the Catskills. Great video and a great sense of fun!
nice one! Does the guitar stay in tune if the you use the tremolo system for a longer period of time?
Not any worse than any Bigsby I've ever played! I'd give it a B+
It's 10 seconds into the video, and i can already relate to the situation
Thank you thank you! I have been looking for this thing FOREVER!!!

I want to do this so bad but I’m new at guitar and broke and scared that I’ll damage my les paul
This is what i was looking for. Thank you
I'm in the process of doing this now. It would have been nice to hear it in action. Still, great video.

I have a similar Traditional but it’s a 2011 or 12 or something. Anyway I did the same thing with the truss cover. That and a LP Classic. Blanks.

Do you wind up the strings at the tuning post via the "Gibson Mandolin String Post Stringing Method"?
What was that rattling sound?
Dude!!! You are hilarious!! Great video!
Thanks bud!
How about adjusting it for higher tension?
Hey Greg! my dog sits in my guitar case sometimes too haha
2:19 that is exactly why string winders exist
Fear not, Friend, it would probably take a day and a half(or more, no experience)

do they make a lefty version?
Yup!
I love this dude lol
I gotta admit I'm a little disappointed that you didn't got with a Bigsby. I mean, that's the only real choice.
I didn't want to drill into this baby!!
Well...okay that's fair.
Nice cat bench. 😊
Great Video! \m/
Dude, use a string winder ;)
Love the Screw humor 😂
what make u think that this fragile neck can stand it for long term ? it will snap
You've never seen a Les Paul with a trem on it before?
Being out of tune might be a good thing though if you like UK punk like me🤪
$7000 from Stew Mac 😂😂😂
And I heard it just went up :(
Do more comedy please
No touring until it's safe, baby
Would have loved keep watching and see what else he does, too bad language is not suitable to have my kid watching this with me.
I put the fuckin thing on the guitar
