Sou you could have 2 variations. hemiola in the first or in the second measure. in 7/8 you have 3 measures and 3 variations. in 9/8 you have 4 measures. in 11/8 5 measures and 5 variations. And etc.
This is an interesting concept. You explain the technical aspect well, but I would like to suggest maybe an improvised solo or some freeform playing utilizing these time signatures. It would help in demonstrating how workable these meters are on hand drums.
