when I saw them we were rocking the fuck out. head banging getting nutty. I got slapped in the head by Steve's bass a bunch of times. Killer intimate show. Hung out with Steve and Dimitri for a while. Said hi to Keith backstage. Told him he's the punk rock Jesus. It was crazy and kickass. Small venue, totally old school punk show like they used to be in the 80s. So killer. I was like 48 when I saw them and it was like when I was in my 20s seeing these back allley punk shows at loading docks and super tiny venues. total flashback. so awesome!!
Some of the best musicians formed the perfect fucking Punkrockband. Mario and Keith in one band!! Plus the bassist I don’t really dig in his other bands. But here!! Simply perfect!!
Man, so jealous of everyone in attendance. But I just think that this crowd is oddly tame. if I was there and be jumping off the stage, yelling all the words at the top of my lungs. Off and Agnostic Front playing victim in pain and united blood is a dream lineup. I hope both these bands play together again some day.

You want to talk "Godfathers", or "Pioneers" of the North American "punk", "hardcore", "rock'n'roll", whatever you want to call it "scene"....Keith ranks high, at least for me. Lol, even Jimmy G...."Murphy's Law" has kept rockin' and rolling all these years also. They never got bored and moved on to more "mature" genres of music like some of their contemporaries...They are who they were from the beginning. Ageless! Great set too btw.

what a great show!! It was just like this when I saw OFF! so long ago. Right up front in front of Steve McDonald. His bass hit me in the forehead so many times I had welts on my head like four huge welts all week. LOL. I talked to Steve for like 20 minutes while he was setting up about old school music and the 80s scene back in the day. I met Keith and Dimitri and Mario too. What an intimate band, so fucking cool. Dimitri was cool. Mario was setting up. Keith didn't want to chat. He told me to get out. He said, "Hey man, you can't be back here man". I walked in to their backstage room. Oops. But that was cool. hahah
No knock at all to OFF, but Jimmy is right - if they just said ‘fuck it’ and played Nervous Breakdown, people would’ve popped off and the energy would’ve been so much higher
@@lfader I kicked it with Steve and Dimitri at the OFF! show years ago. Steve is really chill and a super nice guy. Dimitri is cool. I've talked to him in person and online about music and stuff. I kicked it with Steve a couple of months ago backstage at the Melvins and Bungle show. Met Scott Ian and Dave Lombardo and Mike Patton too. Buzz Osbourne of the Melvins too. Steve was really cool, he remembered me from years before. The rest of those dudes weren't too friendly but Steve McDonald is fucking awesome friendly and cool man. I also said hi to Keith and told him he's the punk rock Jesus. haha. He didn't want me hanging backstage and said, he man you can't be back here man. But Steve was totally cool and just talked to me like a firiend.

@@lfader I kicked it with Steve and Dimitri at the OFF! show years ago. Steve is really chill and a super nice guy. Dimitri is cool. I've talked to him in person and online about music and stuff. I kicked it with Steve a couple of months ago backstage at the Melvins and Bungle show. Met Scott Ian and Dave Lombardo and Mike Patton too. Buzz Osbourne of the Melvins too. Steve was really cool, he remembered me from years before. The rest of those dudes weren't too friendly but Steve McDonald is fucking awesome friendly and cool man. I also said hi to Keith and told him he's the punk rock Jesus. haha. He didn't want me hanging backstage and said, he man you can't be back here man. But Steve was totally cool and just talked to me like a firiend.

If I was there I'd be doing the same thing, standing there high as fuck mesmerized. Taking it all in knowing I'm in the presence of a punk rock legend and one of my heroes. Maybe I'm old, maybe I'd just prefer to savor the moment because this could all end suddenly and I want to remember more than being elbowed in the face by some idiot karate dancing.

Black Flag and the Stooges more or less invented Hardcore ! But Hardcore was not yet lead by Gangsters(no offense) so, the original Hardcore was played by "nerds" like 99% of all heavy music which is the skelleton modern bands replicate. Then there was henry Rollins the only thug looking nerd that still sung about thugs. then there was Glen,doyle(the absolute piece of cake nice guy) and then nyhc evolved it into a more hip hop cultural thing from the surface, and today it is something like that from the inside out,and those guys are tend. patriots ! this is what happens when people want to look like pro pain a band that looks as if fundet by the military. so please do your homeworks and understand that minor threat, black flag and the stooges arent military or hip hop cultural phenomenas. so SOME of the young thug looking hardcore kids are kinda opposed to these nerdy Originals,which is contradicting considering who created the music, because they want to wave their hands and put their hands beside the broad pants and show off a more gorillesque mannerism etc.if you look closely you see them kharate kicking in drone parts too(before a drum kicks in) but the music of minor threat and this band here is nothing but easily more brutal now than usual hardcore (with metal infuences)like madball. Its like "oh, i am at xxx so i have a reason to pull down my choreography" Listen to how sophisticated the brake downs are in here, look at how they tear everything down and bring more killer riffs in 1 and a half mins than sick off it all in 3 (which is my fav hardcore band since 24 years) so, there are two options for you: 1: you say "no, i dont rage to these leftists" or 2. you kill the moshpit. just be acurate and speak the truth : the music is not the reason why you see a different picture compaired to a modern hardcore show, period
