This is great but I think you should paint the bonnet white like the rest as I think it looks a bit odd and the two tone looks 🔥

VW have the paint scheme right, doesnt make sense visually as it is, in my opinion! cracking job, but impossible time limit! Quality prioritises speed!

Could do white up to the bonnets creases and leave blue in middle
Keep the bonnet blue just blend in the sides of the bonnet white so it matches up but looks better than all the boring stock

Top work! You’ve really helped to demystify the whole front end of these things which is such a torrid mess of rubber & plastic tubing & wires everywhere. Great fast repair! Can’t wait to see it painted.
Just needs the triangle shape piece and the edge of the bonnet where it aligns with the 'A' pillar in White and the bonnet blue as you like.
That was a massive ask, but jeez you very nearly smashed it out the park, amazing effort Dean👍👋👋👋👋 Enjoy a well deserved holiday with your loved family, and look forward to seeing the Caravelle completed
White bonnet for sure. I would want the arch trim as it saves on parking knocks.

You did good, just a day too short to do it in. Have you thought about fitting the plastic arch guards all round? Just a thought and, it does save the arch paint in car park scuffs and scrapes when random trolleys are allowed to roll into your car.
What you need to do with the paint is to take all that blue to the underwindow line and keep the roof white with front pillar.
Obviously it involves more body shop paint but it will look Sick!!!

Awesome effort. you did so well in getting it close to complete. Maybe in hind sight it will turn out to be good that you didn't quite make it, give you time to fully check it over and make sure all is OK.

Great project …2tone paint perfect but I would have preferred the white bonnet
Lots of comments say you need to respray the bonnet white but I like it as it is. Take a deep breath and have a holiday then check your work before MOT and letting the family loose in it :)

Cant believe the speed on this repair! - well done all around - the ACC should recalibrate its-self driving around, if not park it 1.2m from a wall, and hit recalibrate in ODIS / Geko & VCDS(?)

I personally don’t like the two tone there is too much of a contrast I think it should be more subtle. I love the bottom half dark colour but maybe a top colour that blends better.

I agree the blue looks better than the white unless you get the body shop to top blend the white to blue and wrap the white to black, and enjoy your Holidays have a good one
If it’s 180bhp BiTi engine make sure you get the revised egr cooler

Great video. The front lower fog light is testable on the 2019 onwards , the Ac light wouldn’t fail👍🏽

I would do the bonnet white, if you look at the drivers side the top of the wing is white so it would wrap round well!

Keep the middle of the bonnet blue and paint the outsides white to the bonnet lines .

Wrap the bonnet in white to protect the very good looking blue paint. I like the 2 tone Caravelle more class to it 🙂
Of course the bonnet and upper wings need to be white. It's white over blue, it's going to look very odd if you don't...Great job, well done...🤔😏😏😀😀🇬🇧

I like the blue as well, you should take the blue a bit higher to where the lower panel ends on the A Pillar and same on the C Pillar and filling in the white bits below the windows.
I agree the blue bonnet looks good. Just do the left side triangular piece under the bonnet edge white like the right side

Really enjoy the different cars you work on. Every auto-youtuber and his mate does fast cars or mega cheap cars (assume they're better clickbait) but very few seem to make videos of cars that most of us end up owning!

Top job. I saw this on copart, sent to the better half as a successor prospect for her T5 sportline but we agreed I haven't the time to fix it and it would likely look half finished in 6 months. Good to see it more or less done

If it was mine I'd get the white bits painted blue as I only like 2 tone on split window campers.
You can dissolve the Sikaflex with WD40, I once had a genuine dealer fit spoiler on a car and it started coming loose when I was ready to sell. I squirted WD40 in the gap between the spoiler and tailgate, let it soak for 10 minutes and the Sikaflex peeled off. The paintwork was perfect underneath.

There is a body line on the left and right of the bonnet. You could get the bodyshop to paint the side edges of the bonnet white, and the little triangular pieces white. I think that would be the only way for it to look right. It looks good though, Id like one of these to go to Wales in every weekend. Great job! Which idiot left the battery charger next to it 🤣🤣 Shame you missed the MOT but you smashed it out in a week. 👍👍
