There a fan theory that Andy’s mum is Emily from Jessie’s backstory. The main bit of evidence I can remember is that Andy had a Jessie hat in the first film and not a woody hat, which he could’ve got from his mother who seemed to keep that hat as it wasn’t in the box of stuff Emily left. It’s a cool theory if u want to look deeper into it
I guess that would explain why Andy’s mom says that “toys don’t last forever”

Like Andy said at the end of the film "Yeah, it's a good thing I didn't brought with him to camp! His whole arm might have come off.", which would been true since Woody's arm DID came off when Al took him out of the case (sure, the thread got caught in the thing that held up Woody in the case, but still). It would been difficult to fix Woody at camp.

I love how Jessie's abandonment problem is foreshadowed early in the movie--when she has to hide in the box because Al's coming, she starts having a panic attack and Prospector has to assure her that she won't be stuck in there forever.

Also fun fact: Apparently it was later confirmed that the Prospector grew to like his new owner--all he truly wanted was to be loved like any other toy should be, so he ended up happy being played with and painted on. Though perhaps being surrounded by Barbie dolls was a perk XD

Fun Fact: For the scene where Woody is looking at all that merchandise, it was all ab-libbed. The team gave a bunch of pictures for merchandise and told Tom Hanks to react to it in-character

Fun Fact : The guy that fixed woody was geri from the short geris game the reason they used him is because they animated that scene to close to the movie deadline and they didn't have time to animate another human so they used him because thay already had him

Geri from 'Geri's Game', also made by Pixar.
Behind the scenes, they actually consider this the exact same character. When he's not playing chess on his own, he works as a toy cleaner.
As he's fixing Woody, you can see one of the drawers in his case is full of chess pieces.

Fun fact: for a movie this fantastic, it was made in an incredibly short production time. They wrote the script in 1 weekend and did animation in 9 months

I think this is my favourite Toy Story because I grew up watching this a lot.

Not only is the cleaner guy in Toy Story 2 (1999 film) from the short Geri’s Game (1997 short), the actor who voiced him also voiced Manny (the green mantis) in A Bug’s Life (1998) film.

I’d love for you to react to Monsters inc, it’s one of my absolute favourite childhood movies. When I was little my hair looked just like Boo’s and my family nicknamed after her 💕 such a good movie!
There's this deleted blooper scene when Woody turns the Prospector box and it's supposed to be empty because the Prospector is closing the vent, but in the blooper when Woody turns the box around we see the Prospector flirting with two Barbies and saying "I can get you a role on Toy Story 3". It was cut due to it being very inappropriate after the MeToo movement, and John Lasseter himself (the director and head of Pixar at the time) being one of the people who got exposed.
but it was a good scene.

The old guy who was cleaning Woody is indeed Geri from the short Geri's Game (the one where he plays chess), you can see chess pieces in one drawer in the same scene
Andy's father was also named Andy-Andy Sr. -and he wrote his name on Woody's boot. The reason Woody is such a rare toy is because he's the only Woody doll that was ever made-just a prototype. Long story short, Andy ends up with a Woody prototype, the absolute only Woody doll in existence (the official line was never manufactured due to a new interest in space toys). So, honestly after looking through google, Woody is only one of a kind unlike Buzz who we see the isles are full of buzzes but there is only one woody doll and the whole collection was only made of only one each and that's it. Which made them super rare.
That gag with Buzz’s wings went completely over my head when I was a kid. I always interpreted it as Buzz could’ve easily flown over and opened the door himself, but Jesse pulled that awesome stunt off faster than he could open his wings. XD
I have been watching ytp’s for over a decade and I even though it was to avoid copyright, the editing of woody at 9:11 had me crying with laughter.

First off, great reaction (as usual! You're one of the best). Second: you should watch Pixar's Onward. It's such a great film, and it got totally screwed over because it came out at the beginning of quarantine.
My favorite sequel ever, it's crazy to think this movie nearly got deleted before it's release due to a small error.
No one ever gonna wonder why this guy have missed some of the good movies back in the day?
