Excellent interview Alyssa! With a deep appreciation for the leadership of Capt. Crozier and much gratitude for the service of his wife and family.
How does Capt. Crozier stay composed while watching the sendoff his sailors gave him? This man selflessly put his career on the line. That is leadership.
This gentleman was my XO on my first ship. He truly cared for his sailors and was an all around great guy!! It’s a shame what happened to him but he did the right thing in the end. For that I salute you Sir!! 🫡

If Alyssa ever ran for public office - I wouldn't hesitate to vote for her - and I'm 100% Democrat.
Too bad every republican representative host just becomes the punching bag from the rest of the hosts. She often takes it with little real pushback. Especially from sunny. Lindsay Granger was the only host with some real fight and didn't want to agree on every point, and it was obvious they didn't like that at all.

He did what a lot of CO’s were afraid to do at that time; Go against his bosses to take care of his crew. There were a handful of ships going though the same thing around that time and had to stay quiet.

This man staked his naval career to save his crew from covid. His direct superior refused his first request to disembark from the ship. So he wrote the letter knowing full well of the consequences, especially as an Academy graduate. This man is a hero.
Also a chief petty officer passed away less than 3 weeks later from covid from this incident.
Do your own research. This event should not be forgotten.
This was at the very beginning of covid. Moreover this officer lost his command because it went against what 45 was lying about the disease.
Really hope things are going well for Capt. Crozier in his new chapter ~ as they say, fair winds and following seas -

He was my CO at that time. I remember getting that goofy speech the sec nav gave, which in short translated to shut up and get back to work because your CO is an idiot. Crozier was a fine CO. Also, that deployment did suck.

She’s a complete professional, she knew that, you could tell she was doing her best, she wasn’t reporting from CNN, she didn’t have what they call it ugh where they read from. Give her a 10 for trying her best!!! Wow 😮 she’s amazing 🤩

Initially, a chopper pilot and then transitioning to F-18 pilot. When in crises, you wanna be with this gent!
I remember clearly as soon as this was exposed by the media a lot of people including some have served accused Capt. Crozier of treason and that whole bunch of “shoulda coulda woulda”.
Shame, Americans. Shame!
We need leaders like this who stands up for what is RIGHT!

Navy needs to be operation ready
At all cost
Imagine being in the navy 28 years, you know how the system works and how slow processes can be. Your ship has a silent killer and don’t know how many are falling victim to it. Turns out you have it and the request you’ve submitted to your leadership is rumored to be rejected. Heck the people on his own ship even stood up for him.
I remember this incident and thought, the military is not lost if this man is in a leadership position.
Such a beautiful interview thank you so much Alyssa fairgriffin for taking the time and having the courage to do this interview. I really wish more stories like Captain Brett's were shared more so the public can know the truth of what happens god bless him for his courage

@@noblesunz5805 He flew helicopters, commanded a strike fighter squadron, completed nuclear power school, commanded an LCC and a carrier, and is a 30-year U.S. Navy veteran. Those sailors on the TR chanting his name are a bit more persuasive judges of his character than you are
