The Knicks need to stay on the path they're been on and focus on upgrading the roster with sensible team and culture fits. I think moving Mitchell Robinson and drafting a center on a rookie contract with one of their two FRPs to replace him on the bench would be the play in order to be able to retain Hartenstein and Anunoby while avoiding the 2nd apron.

      You're the only one on here who gets it. Bobby Marks is wrong. When Brunson was doubled and DeVo, Josh Hart, or Duece couldn't make a timely shot the Knicks struggled. Donovan Mitchell is a baller who hasn't reached his peak. He would be willing to make it work with Brunson to play at home. This knock against Mitchell with the Knicks has become ridiculous. If we already had Mitchell playing with Brunson in this playoffs, even with the injuries our chances were greater. Eric Snow and AI worked. Zeke and Dumars worked. Clyde and Pearl worked. Brunson and Mitchell can work too. Trade Randle, Mitch Rob, and Burks for Mitchell and Jarrett Allen. Trade Randle while he has value because he isn't going to want to play second fiddle to Brunson. Trade Mitchell Robinson while he has value because he is always injured and unavailable.

This loss didn’t bother me like it did other fans because I didn’t expect us to even get this far without Julius and just having Jalen as the only option. I can’t wait to see the Knicks whole again. Pacers are close to their ceiling and needed 7 games to beat us missing an All Star, 2 top 10 defenders, and 20ppg scorer off the bench.

      If you add 3 point shooting to a guy with Hartenstein size and skillset that guy is an All-star caliber and worth 30m+ so it would be far better for payroll to just trade for such a guy. Not that he exists.

    Thank you for saying that the Knicks don't need to go "big game hunting" this offseason. I've been saying this for a few years already. They've got their stars and they've got heart. They've got defense and ball movement. They just need some backup pieces in case they catch the injury bug again.

    The only thing Knicks should be working on is keeping their starters, keeping McBride, Bojan, and Burks, and solidifying the bench spots. Randle, Brunson, OG trio goes insanely hard. Give them another year to prove it

    I do agree that OG needs to be retained along with Hartenstein but if NY is trying to reach the NBA pinnacle then being proactive is a must and bringing D Mitchell back to NY is a viable solution with San Antonio, Minnesota and OKC become heavyweight status and Miami Philadelphia and LA continue front page dominance you have to keep your eyes forward and keep pushing forward

    OG Anunoby is going to get $40 million, the only question is which team will pay it-the Knicks, the Sixers, or an unexpected team who swoops in. It's similar to how the Rockets surprised everyone by offering Fred VanVleet $40 million; they had the money and weren't hesitant to spend it. Other teams with over $50 million available for free agency this summer include Utah, OKC, Detroit, Toronto, Philadelphia, and the LA Clippers. What is unique about OG is he instantly improves any team he is on because of his role.

    I keep joking about how the Knicks was like "Final Destination" with how players are dropping out and getting hit with random injuries (minus Embiitch pulling Robinson's leg of course) and then Jalen Brunson fractures his left hand. You seriously can't make this story up.

  • @jrodkid9731
    @jrodkid9731 23 дня назад

    Would love to see Knicks running it back but they have to be very smart on how they allocate their money. Knicks will have to pay OG regardless of his injury history to justify giving up Barrett & Quickley. I-Hart is gonna get an increase but I can see where they do not bring back Bogdanovich & Burks to offset giving I-Hart his money. If I Hart's number becomes too high, I can see where they let him walk - hard to justify giving him and Robinson starters money at center. They may see how Randle comes back and how all the pieces fit before making a move with him-once they give Brunson his max money or close to it this year or next, the roster will be locked in. Knicks still need a scoring/slashing wing with some length-a Siakam type- love Jason Hart and DiVencenzo but they need more height at those positions so they can match up.
