Question, If I were to do a commentary video, where I put let's say a video game into the video, then I talk over and give either a deep analyze into the game or talk about what's new in the game, could I just render the video as a regular video without worrying about the audio file stuff.
I'm literally doing this as I watch your videos and I have to say, you have the best guidance on getting this working. I have been struggling for days and no one has explained it and shown me quite as good as you. Thank you!
Hi! I responded to your message on Instagram but so far we’re not able to record video directly into Resolve. You might be able to do it with some of black magic designs more adVanced tools and hardware, but that’s a little out of my wheelhouse. You can’t connect something like a regular DSLR or camera right into resolve.

Hey thanks for your help on this! My project is having some troubles though. My video in the corner is actually going at like 1 frame every 6 seconds, and I can't record anything since I can't see it. Any tips?
If the playback is a little slow, you can close the meters at the top so you don’t see that video window. Or you can try some of the tips in this video to help speed up playback: ruclips.net/video/9R47o6kZrDU/видео.html
What kind of timeline are you working on? If you’re working in a 4K timeline change it to a 1080 timeline while you’re recording, that should help playback.

Great, thanks! Just starting out with voice over. I've made videos for another channel that I have and used to use Kinemaster. They've raised their prices quite considerably, so I was looking at other video editing software. Was hoping to be able to use Davinci or something like it for both applications, video editing and professional voice over work.
Thank you! My last software started glitching horrible and I was losing projects. So, I got a new one and adjusting has been hard. This video was just what I needed!

Thank you so much! This is going to make a huge difference for my gaming channel! I have been using the voice recorder app, clicking back and forth, this can cause the audio to get mismatched with the video timing and then it needs to fix it! Also really appreciate your going that 1 step further and showing how to see the video in the Fairlight tab! Now I can record or fix commentary; while seeing what is happening in the video at the same time all in the same place!

Love your channel Jason, thanks for the work you put into it. Do you have any tips on making a voiceover sound like the video dialog or at least less distracting? I'm usually behind my Diety shotgun with a dead cat. Should I go outside and just talk to the back of the mic?
I would just try to edit the audio using EQ, dynamics and maybe effects if you need them and see if you can match it to the audio from your camera. Chances are it may not be a direct match because I’m assuming you’re filming environment for the voiceover might be a little bit better than when you’re running gun using the shotgun Mic on your camera.
