AUDIO DUCKING is a great feature that I use all the time, in pretty much every single video. It's quick, easy and you don't have to worry about adding keyframes to change your volume. I'll show you all the settings you need to know, so lets check out this great feature and speed up your workflow!

    Amazing tutorial, Jason! For TOOOO long, I've been manually adding keyframes to my audio track, finely adjusting them, copying and pasting them over and over.... wish I had known this was an option! The Fairlight page seems to be a very underrated part of Resolve, I'm definitely going to begin exploring it more and taking advantage of its functions like audio ducking. Well done!

    • @JasonYadlovski
      @JasonYadlovski  3 года назад +2

      Thanks! I’ve been using this method for a long time and it works great. You just have to work with your settings - attack, hold and release to get it to work the way you want, save it as a preset then just apply it anytime you need it. It’s a great tool. Huge timesaver over using key frames manually. 😁👍 thanks for watching!

      @@JasonYadlovski Yeah I was playing around with it as I watched you, there's certainly a lot of trial and error that will go into finding the right balance depending on the type of audio you're working with. First of all your tutorial helped me a lot explaining in so much detail. Can you make a video explaining how to record voiceovers with your blue Yeti and setting up EQ for it. I know it's pretty basic but I am very eager to learn. Thanks

    • @JasonYadlovski
      @JasonYadlovski  3 года назад +1

      Hi! I actually have two videos and I can help you out with that. Here’s a video on how to record a voice over in DaVinci Resolve: ruclips.net/video/2Cs90RqAPWg/видео.html and here’s a video all about EQ: ruclips.net/video/5Rs1XRQSlAM/видео.html use the concepts I talk about and the methods I show for your particular recording and it should help it sound great for you. After that you may also want to look into adding some dynamics, here’s a video on that: ruclips.net/video/H08721S3Z38/видео.html if you have any questions feel free to ask! 😁👍

    Thank you so much for doing this. I've learned alot watching some of your videos and I can't thank you enough for the great work. I was wondering after watching this if you have a video where I can learn how to do the zoom edit that you use.

    • @JasonYadlovski
      @JasonYadlovski  4 года назад +1

      Hi, you're welcome! Thanks for checking out the video! Are you talking about the transitions? If you are, they are from rVisiual. I did a review for them if you look on my channel. They are really good. 😁

    • @pL0n
      @pL0n 4 года назад +1

      @@JasonYadlovski The edit im talking about is this at 6:51 where you zoom and highligh something specific

    • @JasonYadlovski
      @JasonYadlovski  4 года назад +2

      Oh I see. That is actually done in a program that I used to record my screen, it’s called Screenflow for Mac. I use it to do all of my screen recording then I edit the screen recording in that program because it has some good quick tools. Then I export it and bring it into DaVinci Resolve where I edit the entire video together.

    Great stuff Jason! Thanks! One quick question. This only works for clips with vocals without significant background noise, correct? For example, can it work while riding mountain biking tracks? Thanks!

    • @JasonYadlovski
      @JasonYadlovski  2 года назад

      You’re welcome! It could probably still work, you just might need to adjust the settings so the sensitivity of the effect works with your original clip. I’ll give it a try and see how it works out. 😁👍
