She wrote this as an apology to fans for being gone so long. That makes me cry so much more. Amy stripped back all day every day for me. Steinway good enough, omg so good. Also don’t worry I cried too
The contrast between Lizzy's voice and Amy's voice is like fire and ice they couldnt be further apart but that song just works in ways i cant even explain. As a duet they are perfect i wish i would do more songs together
@@norsegamingtv1686 Some people consider Halestorm "metal" and some people consider Evanescence "symphonic metal". I personally consider both bands to be rock, but was just covering all the genres. Doesn't change that it's an awesome duet by two awesome artists.
This song is so underrated. Her performance of it during Synthesis era (2017-2018) is also super stunning. There’s a DVD of 2018 and she particularly shines in this one. Have checked their latest album, The Bitter Truth?
I believe it was Beth Roars that referred to Amy's voice as sounding like a violin. I couldn't agree more. I also really like your hair. I don't know if you're familiar with Field Of Innocence, but that is another one of my favorite songs from Evanescence. It's incredibly dark sounding. Keep it metal. \m/
Amy Lee is a gift to humanity. I've been waiting for someone to react to this version of the song, and your reaction is perfect. One of the best things about Evanescence is how they can run any one of their songs through a different "filter" and it's just as amazing as the original, or as in this case, even more incredible. Amy Lee also has the best instincts for when to add emphasis or accents at just the right time and in the best way (e.g., the strong low note on the piano at 5:30, the high note at 9:22, the growl at 9:45, which always kills me) I don't know the story behind this version, but it seems like she just walked into the arena, saw a piano on stage and went up and played the song, and someone happened to get it on video. Bravo, great review!
You should check out the acoustic show Ev did in Germany in 2012. Legend is Amy Lee was recovering from a cold, but still gave a performance for the ages.
The first time I saw this version I listened to it over and over for weeks. Amy Lee is incredible, emotional, and so haunting. One of the best out there ever
I don't know how this popped up in my timeline, but I really liked this reaction video!! I've loved this song and this particular version for a long time. It's nice to see someone be able to put into words the raw emotion of this performance. Awesome video !! Thanks
If you're looking for a paired down version of an Evanescence song try the version of "Wasted On You" Amy did with Lyndsey Stirling for the String Sessions. While we're on the Stirling bandwagon Amy sang on a song called "Love goes On and On" which is also lovely.
Hey Ray, I Suggest you to watch: *FILTER - WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE* It's sound so Magical & Nostalgic, even though you never heard of them. Their Lead Singer, Richard Patrick ( Who also former member of *Nine Inch Nails* & Brother of Robert Patrick, American Actor who played *T-1000* in Terminator 2 ) is *Chester Bennington* ( Lead Singer of *Linkin Park* ) Biggest Influence on Scream Vocal 🤘🏻
I always liked this song, and really enjoy this stripped down version of the song. Amy likes to use that breathiness in her vocals, which I enjoy. She also likes to switch to a quick deeper voice and then back to high, which again I enjoy.
You should check out stuff from the Synthesis tour as its their well known tracks rearranged with a full orchestra. I saw them on that tour, amazing 😃 One track in particular I'd like to see you react to is Imperfection 😊
If I had to pick a favorite video of Amy Lee's, Lost in Paradise would have to be it. Other than that, all of her older videos are extremely moving. In case you missed any of them, the list goes as follows: Bring Me To Life, Call Me When You're Sober, Everybody's Fool, Going Under, Good Enough, Lithium, Lost in Paradise, My Heart Is Broken, My Immortal, Sweet Sacrifice & What You Want. I just had to have all of them saved to my computer and many of her older concerts as well. Thanks to a free internet program called y2b, I was able to do just that. I am totally hooked, because I just can't seem to play them enough. I thought that I fell in love with her voice the first time that I ever heard it, but with a whole new light brought out by seeing her on all these videos, OMG, I am overtaken, soul, mind and body for life and beyond. By the way, I think you are a sweet looking young lady yourself and I would like to know more about you, what songs that you and sing and what other wonders of you that might surface. I thought that I was the only one that was so moved by this video, but now that I watched you, I no longer feel silly or alone.
I'm going to give "Break In" a third must listen to recommendation. It's one of, if the best duets I've ever heard in Rock. I'be heard the studio and the live versions and believe or not, I honestly think the live version is better. You can really hear Amy when she sings that super high harmony with Lizzie. I hope with 3 recommendations that she'll get the point and react to it. 🤞🏻

Omg I never knew that. I love this woman so much. ❤
Have you done "Break In" yet by Amy Lee and Lzzy Hale? Might be the best duet Ive ever heard. The two best female rock vocalists singing together!
I'll second this suggestion. Truly one of the best duets to ever come from the rock/metal genres.
The contrast between Lizzy's voice and Amy's voice is like fire and ice they couldnt be further apart but that song just works in ways i cant even explain. As a duet they are perfect i wish i would do more songs together
Let's hope she sees this and reacts to it. I know she'd melt.
If you haven’t heard it you will love it

This live version of the song is the BEST version.

Self-titled was so amazing album. Erase This is their best song for me. But also Never Go Back and Oceans are sick songs.
Absolutely agree with you 👏🏼
yES i LOVE eRASE THIS!
I have never heard this performance before. That bridge… just beautiful 😢❤
Evanescence performs this song live at the Nobel peace price 2011.

Such a beautiful song and an angelic voice to match ❤

This is my favorite song of all time. Nothing touches my soul like Amy Lee's voice does. Such raw emotion!

A piano and Amy Lee's vocals, if that doesn't give one chills and make your eyes leak, you need to check and make sure you have a soul.
This is the number one of all times…chills all over..
2 thumbs up on the reaction. This song, Hello, and My Heart is Broken are my top 3. Keep up the great work 😂

Amy is a goddess. ❤❤❤❤
Great choice of song to start our day.
Эми - БОГИНЯ.❤❤
Beautiful reaction!! An example of how Amy Lee touches your soul an melts your heart ❤️
Outstanding analysis of my favorite vocalist ever.
I just want to tell her it's OK. And give her a hug, and let her know her health and well-being are more important than fans being entertained.

Please do “speak to me” by Amy Lee. Evanescence is not present for that one, but it’s breathtaking
Mantap sis ,one of the best female singer .. greeting from Indonesia
Amy just has a gorgeous voice, not really listened to much from them - maybe I should investigate further!
its so beautiful when rachel reacts to my recommendations 💟💟💟💟💟
This one and "Missing" are my favourites
Great video, a big hug from Brazil.

If you’ve never heard the song “You” by her, which was never supposed to see the light of day, it’s just her and a piano and it’s phenomenal.
I would recommend any song from the Synthesis Live performance, especially End Of The Dream
Amy Lee is a master of vocal dynamics.
You should check out stuff from the Synthesis tour as its their well known tracks rearranged with a full orchestra.
I saw them on that tour, amazing 😃
One track in particular I'd like to see you react to is Imperfection 😊
Amy Lee é minha diva e eu a amo tanto desde que eu era adolescente ❤❤❤
So haunting
In a world of Taylor Swifts, be an Amy Lee!!

Everybody's Fool is my favorite music video. Amy deserves a Grammy and an Emmy for that video.
