Finally someone get into the point.❤ My portfolio focuses on a detailed design process rather than just the design itself. However, the hit rate and the duration clients spend on my portfolio are quite low despite this approach. Interestingly, design schools and designers emphasize showcasing this thorough process, but the challenge lies in HR and designers having limited time to delve into every project.😢
YES 😭 Oh my goodness, this is the comment I've been waiting for! I absolutely adore design portfolios that showcase the creative process. It's amazing how many brands and art directors are on the lookout for this kind of insight. But you know, not everyone who checks out your portfolio has all the time in the world to explore it. Sometimes it just doesn't quite hit the mark. I get the feeling this portfolio might be geared towards specific job opportunities that are searching for particular items.
GIRL, this was so helpful! Wonderful video, straight to the point, great tips, and your portfolio looks very professional and eye catching. I've watched several differnt videos on creating a portfolio and yours made me feel so much better and certain in the direction to go in. You're one of the only people who is just like, make the design the star, and if it's good and presented as such, I can see why it's been successful for you! THANK YOU!
Thank you very much for your comment!😭 I'm so happy that my video resonated with you! My goal was to simply assist others, streamline their lives, and facilitate greater job opportunities.♥
I found this genuinely so interesting, I'm currently redesigning my portfolio to jump back into graphic design after a long hiatus (left a toxic job and been in a different industry since). My only critique is with the phone mockup in the final image you are able to see the rectangular edges of the image clipping into the phone very faintly. To avoid this you can use a clipping mask when placing the image in the smart layer so it'll fit the mockup perfectly. 🥰 Otherwise I did pick up a lot of interesting tips and tricks that I didn't know. Please keep posting. 😊
actually my question now is how do you find freelance projects? im still struggling to do this. i have the technical capability but finding things is overwhelming.
Jesus, this is NOT the way to do it. 1. Designing with photoshop???????? no thanks (use indesign) 2. "Personal brand" and you use only fake templates... Jesus take pictures, PRINT your stuff. 3. That's not a "great portfolio", if you want to propose designs, make sure at least they are valid and not a bunch od stuff all placed casually into the frame. 4. adding drop shadows and using terrible font randomly doesn make your portfolio better lollll, if the project has no sense, everything will be worst than before. But maybe in your place the graphic design standards are super low, so this could be ok. Feel free to discuss with me, I'd like to know people POW. Saluti!
